My scheduled covid test for Sunday at 9:30 AM.
    Nicole M.

I never imagined feeling the need to write a review about a pharmacy, but the service I received this morning needs to be shared. Yesterday I scheduled a PCR covid test and the soonest available day/time was at this Walgreens. I scheduled a drive through test for today at 9:30 AM. When I show up at 9:30 AM, the lights are off inside the pharmacy and the shade was lowered. I waited about 10 minutes then had a feeling something was wrong so I checked the hours online and it said the pharmacy didn't open until 10:00 AM on Sundays. I thought it was unusual that the online system allowed me to schedule a 9:30 appointment but it wasn't a big deal and I decided to wait. I sat at the window in my car for 30 minutes until they opened at 10:00. After they opened, someone came to the window and asked how they could help me, I explained that I had a 9:30 appointment but didn't realize they weren't open until 10:00. He said, yes we don't open until 10 and asked me to hold on a few seconds. He then comes back to the window and informs me that since my appointment was at 9:30 and it is now after 10:00, he can't help me because he has other customers to tend to and if I wanted to be seen, I had to come back at 2:00. I was a little surprised by his response. I explained to him that I understand that it isn't his fault that the computer let me schedule an appointment for 9:30 when they open at 10:00 but it isn't my fault either and it isn't right that I was being sent away after scheduling an appointment, showing up at my scheduled time, and waiting 30 minutes to be seen. He insisted that he couldn't help me and I needed to come back at 2:00 if I wanted to be helped. After driving away, I called to speak to the pharmacy manager to voice my concerns about the fact that if the pharmacy opens at 10:00 on Sundays, that means the online system is allowing patients to schedule 9:30 and 9:45 drive through covid tests every week and I wanted to make sure they were aware of that. I also wanted to make sure that if I came back at 2:00 without technically having a scheduled appointment, that I wouldn't be turned away like I had earlier in the morning. After being on hold for over 20 minutes, I gave up. It wasn't worth my time. Ultimately, I found somewhere else to get my test. I've worked in retail for 10 years. I don't agree with the statement "the customer is always right" but there is absolutely a wrong way to treat a customer and that was the treatment I received this morning. The Walgreens pharmacy of Oceanside clearly does not care about how they treat their customers nor do they answer their phones. And if they do care, the behavior of their employees does not reflect those values and better training needs to be implemented. Such a shame, I will not be returning.

The inside seems clean, but the store still has a bit of an unfinished look to it. I spoke briefly to the gentleman behind the counter who said that the store has been opened about 4 months now. It looks like it's got all the late night essentials going for it, delicacies such as taquito roller food, refrigerated burritos and plenty of other fine dining choices like funyons and cheetoes. Coffee is cheap, just 99 cents for any size cup you prefer. So I guess I'll be working this store into my rotation.

After paying $40 and then pumping it, I realized that NON-MEMBERS are paying $2.89/gallon and MEMBERS pay the 10 cents/gal cheaper. So i quit pumping at $15 and went inside, got change and asked how to become a member. So...to be a member you must either download the app ( which I do NOT do ) or register the card online and then when getting gas, swipe the card and the amount of gas you take will be deducted from your checking account. This means you MUST connect your checking account to the card/company. You CANNOT pay CASH ( using the card ) UNLESS you want to pay the higher price. It MUST be taken from your checking account ( can't wait to see all the hacking/issues with this ).So, I declined because I felt the price signs were a bit misleading and, more importantly, this is another step towards a cashless society and government knowledge/tracking of our spending habits and ultimately government control of our spending habits/needs. To go along with "Big Bother" and their agenda, is not my style...I see whats coming down the road for us and this is another way to invade our privacy and bank accounts. Pay cash, we're ALL better off. Doing so will show them we're aware of their agenda and cause them to come up with "Plan B"...the longer the delay, the better for us all. Otherwise, the workers were all very nice and the convenience store located inside is very nice with many options of food, snacks and drinks. If the gas prices were easier to understand while driving, I'd give it a 4 star but to me, this is on the line of deceptive price displaying.

Perfectly cooked eggs, gooey melted cheese, and super crispy bacon layered together on a roll, with a drizzle of hot honey and just the right kick of hot sauce. The sweetness hits first before the heat slowly builds, creating the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, spicy, and savory in every bite. The bacon stayed incredibly crisp, adding the most satisfying crunch, and every ingredient worked so well together. To drink, I ordered a White Pistachio Iced Latte made less sweet, and they absolutely nailed it. Smooth, rich espresso with a subtle nutty pistachio flavor and just enough sweetness to complement the coffee without overpowering it. It was refreshing, creamy, and exactly how I hoped it would taste. Sometimes the best food comes from the places you least expect, and The Milk Stop is proof of that. If you're anywhere near Baldwin, this spot deserves a stop. Highly, highly recommend. I'll definitely be back.
