I'm surprised by all these bad reviews... this is the cvs I've been going to my whole life and I've not really had any problems... it's just a CVS. When it comes to the pharmacy, I've only had nice experiences with them. The male pharmacist is always super nice and helpful. Maybe here and there the photo machine prints funny. My meds take a few days to be delivered because it's not in stock and hard to get. It's frustrating, but I know it's not their fault, it's a common problem. I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at the CVS Pharmacy located at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre. Earlier today, my doctor sent in three prescriptions. When I checked my patient portal, only two appeared to be available at this CVS location. Unfortunately, this has become a recurring issue, as this pharmacy frequently seems to be out of stock of commonly prescribed medications. After leaving my doctor's office, I transferred my prescriptions to another CVS location because I wanted to ensure all three could be filled together. Shortly afterward, I received a call back from a gentleman at the Rockville Centre CVS who informed me that although two prescriptions had been canceled, he was able to retrieve them and told me to come to the store to have them filled. I confirmed the address with him and drove there. Upon arrival, I approached the pharmacy counter and provided my information to a young woman working there. She briefly checked and immediately told me, "We don't have anything for you." I explained that someone from that very pharmacy had called me and instructed me to come in because my prescriptions could be filled. She checked again and simply stated there was nothing they could do. She then walked away while I was still speaking. What was most upsetting was not the prescription issue itself, but the complete lack of customer service. At no point did she attempt to investigate what had happened, contact another CVS location, locate where my prescriptions may have been transferred, or offer any explanation. Her tone was dismissive, short, and rude. I felt as though she simply wanted me to leave. A pharmacist who appeared from behind the counter ignored my concerns entirely and began assisting another customer when I questioned the way I was being spoken to. When I requested a manager's name or ownership information, I was told to "go online and call corporate." I then went to the front store manager for assistance. He walked back to the pharmacy with me and requested information on my behalf. At that point, Pharmacist Umar reportedly shouted from across the pharmacy, "That's all we have. Tell her to call corporate. We're not giving her any information." I was shocked by the lack of professionalism. I felt dismissed, misunderstood, disrespected, and treated as though my concerns did not matter. To make matters worse, while I was standing there, I overheard the same employee offering another customer assistance with transferring prescriptions to their location. When I asked why that same courtesy wasn't extended to me, I received no meaningful response. After leaving upset and confused, I visited another CVS location. The staff there quickly located my prescription, explained what had happened, transferred it appropriately, and filled it without issue. The entire situation could have been resolved in minutes had someone at the Rockville Centre location been willing to listen and help. No customer should be treated this way when trying to obtain prescribed medication. I expect better communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy from a pharmacy entrusted with people's healthcare needs. read more

The cvs pharmacy staff located on Merrick road in Rockville Centre is awful. In particular Omar and his female technician. They were very rude and condensending. The apple doesn't fall from the tree. if the leader lacks customer skills so will their employees. They lack the ability to work with individuals where English is not their first language or if they have literacy disabilities. read more

Miserable pharmacy staff, always out of the Medications I need, terrible parking lot. Just TRY to get someone on the phone. Unfortunately, most of these big pharmacy chains are no different. read more

Our practice has been trying to get a hold of a pharmacist at this location regarding a mutual patient's prescription since 03/26/2025. We have been sent to voicemail endlessly since then. Cannot get a hold of anyone or a call back. read more

10/21/2024 Bad experience when buying a gift card. I purchased a Starbucks gift card and it wasn't activated. I went back and a gentleman tried to help me by refunding the money without the gift card. He then said I needed the card. I had my sister mail me the card and when I went back a rude manager who was on her personal phone talking told me I needed to call the number on the back of the card. When I explained to her what the previous associate told me she had an attitude and said Well I don't know who you spoke to but I'm a manager. Like seriously she didn't need to have an attitude instead of helping customers she's to busy on her phone gossiping. So much for being a manager because if she was a good one all the associates would know the protocol for when a gift card is not activated and wouldn't have customers going back and forth about a non-activated card. read more

Typical CVS sometimes busy - staff is minimally helpful- could be cleaner Always feel like I'm putting someone out by asking a question. Got flu and shingles shot there- they utilized a part of a break / storeroom- could and should have a designated space. Parents allow children it play in the store which adds to chaos !!! Had mix up with meds - they called to say it was ready but they didn't tit so I had to drive to ? Massapequa... ugh Not clean!! read more

September 13, 2024, bought a Macy's gift card for $100 at this branch. When about to use, it says not activate. Receipt in hand I went to the store, neither store clerk nor Manager were willing to help. I have called gift card 800 #, CVS 800 # and they claim card was activated. botton line, I am out $100!! I cannot believe no-one has an answer. Do not recommend this place for services to customers!! read more

Update: I have since switched all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. In addition to all of the issues other reviews mentioned, the parking lot is horrible. Unless you drive a subcompact vehicle, I would stay away from that lot. read more

Pharmacy has gone to sh*t! Sorry ! I've been a long time customer of this location but unfort they have completely gone to waste , there is a woman there with red-ish long hair and unfort during covid with a mask and all my mom who has gone to the store for her medication has told me time and time again how she has been very rude to her . I've come to the location on her behalf since then and have encountered some * warm smiles under masks but still in all these experiences have not been pleasant but be assured we will never return to this location ever again ! Hopefully this a sign to the cvs pharmacy and staff to please be kind during these horrible times we are now experiencing . This CVS is located near South Nassau Communities Hospital. It is open 24 hours. There is a Bethpage FCU ATM located inside. I go here in the mornings if I need anything because in the afternoon the parking lot is packed. I usually buy stuff on sale. Check the circular at the door and there is a scanner that dispenses coupons when scan your card near the front of the store in aisle 3. Never had a problem at this CVS location. Staff is friendly and manager is helpful. read more

Omg.......went back to purchase a few items. Upon entering, I could see it was already the typical mob scene. One cash register open. A line of waiting customers that extended down the aisle. People using the self check out. And the 2 employees I saw there........ One genius was stocking water and the other was over in the make up Department. Is it too hard to open another register? I think the water and makeup can wait. the worst CVS I have ever been to but at least they are consistent. read more

Don't even bother with this pharmacy. The pharmacists here are the absolute worst and always so rude. They called me to say my prescription was ready and sent me a text, I went there to pick it up and they didn't have it ready. The skinny black girl is always so rude and has an attitude. She told me there was an error with their system that sends out fake prescription pick ups? Sounds like a bunch of bs to me and that they just don't want to do their job. Every time I come in here I ALWAYS have an issue with my prescription. Once I was yelling at them and a manager got involved and actually agreed with me and yelled at them too lol. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go somewhere else. They also never and I mean never have medication in stock. They never have my big name birth control in stock or muscle relaxers. This was my third and last visit to the CVS, this store lax any form of customer service. The woman at the cashier this morning is the most incompetent and unfriendly person I've ever encountered in the retail world. The pharmacy located within this CVS location is beyond awesome! There is one gentleman pharmacist in particular, his name is Henry, that is very informative, efficient, and courteous. The whole pharmacy team there, in fact, is a pleasure to deal with. I am so glad I switched from my previous pharmacy and transferred my scripts here. For a pharmacy that sits right across from a hospital, it is never stocked with medicines. I can say I will never go back there again not only because they are 'ill'-prepared but because the pharmacy lacks insight and foresight and definite math skills. I chose it as my location due to convenience, but their lack of professionalism is quite inconvenient. read more
