I've been going to this location for probably 15 years and in the last year or so the service has gone down hill so much. Specifically the pharmacy staff has been rude, unhelpful, inconsistent and inaccurate with providing info on when prescriptions are ready. I've always submitted a request a few days early so it's a smooth refill for me, but they let requests sit there for days, and the last 2 months alone I've called to get an update and that's when they've given inaccurate ready times, so I'm left chasing down a person to talk to again when all I want to do is plan my errands accordingly. This evening Sarah was probably the rudest I've spoken to, trying to rush me off the phone with a mumbled "we'll do it tomorrow". I asked if there's a timeframe I should follow (I often submit early to again keep it easy for myself, and also plan ahead for traveling), and I got another rude and defensive remark that landed with "fine I'll have it by 7p" -- sooo, this arbitrary wait time was not necessary!? I know they may be busy, and also have requirements to only refill certain meds after a certain time frame, but the lack of customer service and communication has fallen off completely! At the very least, make the communication in the app clearer as to why there's a delay for 3+ days. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. Dealing with the Pharmacy staff is probably the worst experience in my life. My mother, as well as I suffer from disabling arthritis. I understand the need to be careful with people who get addicted to pain meds. However there are unfortunate persons, like ourselves, that need it just to barely make it through the day. They made her explain the need for it when her foot is permanently at a terrible angle. Easy to see her pain and need. I waited in the drive through for a prescription. There is a sign on the window that says Please be Patient, We will get to as soon as we can. So I waited. 20 minutes later the person who talked over the speaker said I would need to come inside. If I was told that at the start, it would not be as frustrating. However letting me wait for 20 minutes and then refusing to help me unless I parked and came inside is beyond frustrating. I am moving my family and my prescriptions to a different location, I will not return to Walgreens. This happens often, today I was fed up. This happened on July 11th between 9-10 am. read more

Look, I don't go on winter break vacation to Phoenix in order to check out the local Walgreens, so a trip here is a quick trip for necessities, or a matter of convenience. In this case, it was both. I needed some Walgreens necessities for the trip--you know, you forget stuff--and we happened to be headed near here for breakfast and then a hike. Walgreens presented itself, and I pounced. We parked, and got in and out very quickly. There were only a handful of other shoppers there and while I'm not entirely sure the layout made sense, that's more of a Walgreens thing overall. I am always confused by a store that sells Gatorade, flip flops, candy, and antihistamines. But that's you, Walgreens, and that's why we find you convenient. No COVID problems here, everyone was masked and distanced, and we were back out for the hike and breakfast in no time. read more

I stood at the register for at least 5 minutes and he didn't say one word to me, so I let him know I was just picking up a online order and he just says "yeah, just give me a min" a simple "I will be right with you" goes a long way when working with the public. read more

This has been my Walgreens since next door to Safeway on Elliott. The staff has changed over the years. But I m so grateful for an understanding, competent, and caring Pharmacist Jim. I was in a bit of a crisis mode where I needed my refill taken care of pretty quickly. They're ALWAYS busy at this Walgreens, no fault of their own. But Jim took the time, made a call, and explained my situation and the final result was getting this important medication to me in a timely manner eliminating any complications. He helped me more than he can ever know and I am so grateful to Jim. He's an AWESOME Pharmacist and we hope he's there for a long time. Walgreens needs Jim. Olivia in Cosmetics is one of the nicest people I've ever met, and not just in a retail setting. She provides amazing product knowledge and customer services as well, and she's helped me fine just about anything and that store multiple times. And their pharmacy and staff there have without exception, been exceptional. I called ahead once and asked if my dog who barks could come through the drive-through because obviously I couldn't leave them in the car, and Jim not only said yes, but he encouraged it.! All of the other pharmacists or staff working in there as well I've been so great to my dog, and that's why they're having to handle multiple things. I need filled that end up on different dates and aren't always in stock, but I don't believe the delays have ever been caused by Walgreens, I believe I would have so many challenges if I changed pharmacies, that between that, and specifically because of the people, I won't switch even when I see cheaper prices. if someone has several prescriptions getting a discount on one when you end up having to deal with a bunch of other people or you can't fill everything at that one store either, will just end up costing you money. And doing things, but they've even offered up their coupons when I didn't know they had some, and the advice regarding the medication's have been spot on every time as well. I'm not sure if they would appreciate it or not, but I once asked should I turn my car off while I was at the window assuming it was loud for them, obviously my dog was being so I tried to think of that, and the person didn't object, they didn't demand it, but it really seemed appreciated. I don't see why they wouldn't be most likely if we did that, it would help them.? When I have to call multiple times, it's never because of Walgreens. It's always something on the other side of things, and they are so polite and tolerant. When I have to check multiple things, I just can't say enough good things. read more

While times have been difficult during this epidemic, we each still face our own personal obstacles in life. When stress begins to overwhelm and wear down even the most positive of people, it's great to have a stranger perform even a small act of kindness. I was helped out by an employee named Sydney when my doctor had sent over a prescription they didn't have in stock. I've been using this same Walgreens for about 4 years, this has never happened. Sydney went above & beyond to contact other pharmacies to see who had it available, then called my doctor to transfer it. Sydney then called me back, leaving a voicemail of my options and nearest location to pick up from. In trying times like this, while short-staffed, and probably over-worked.. She proactively made sure I was taken care of. I can't thank you enough Sydney! The rest of the staff has always been personable, accommodating, patient over the years & I thank you all for that! By far the worst Walgreens and perhaps pharmacy I've ever had to use. Not sure if short staffed or if the staff is not up to the task. What I can tell you that on many occasions now they have either been late to fill my medication, we're unable to fill medication fully so I received half the number prescribed and on one occasion I was even told the pharmacist "forgot" to order my medication so I was out of luck completely when I arrived to pickup. I have let this slide for a couple months but after being on hold for over 2 hours today to verify I can pickup medication tomorrow because of past issues I'll be not only reviewing but filing a formal complaint this place needs to close. I have many medications that are on a very strict time table and have had to miss doses completely or scurry across town finding other pharmacies to cover for their ineptitude. read more

I have used this Walgreens for many years and am very pleased with all of the employees there with the exception of one. I'm not racist but in the evenings I've dealt with a an Indian or Pakistani immigrant over the phone that is hostile. I believe this person has internal "feeling" problems and would be better suited to a different position. read more

This is within walking distance for us, but I'd frequent the locale just because of their sweet employee, Olivia. She makes every stop a happy one. I usually only take advantage of buy one get one 50% off sales here, or just let our points accrue. We don't get our scripts here, but I can say that we are unequivocally fans! read more

On hold to speak with a pharmacist now for over an hour... unfortunately this is a common occurrence for this Walgreens. I have never had so many problems with any pharmacy I've ever visited as I have had with this one. It's too bad because it is so conveniently located but I will be going out of my way to visit another store. Over the course of the past 4 days I have been put on hold for over on hour twice, hung up on without speaking to anyone twice, been incorrectly told that my medication is ready for pickup when it was actually out of stock, and FINALLY after I get my prescription filled and am going through the checkout process I am told "hang on a second" and then met by the operations manager 15 minutes later who informs me that they "accidentally deleted" my prescription during the checkout process and need to get a new one sent over from my doctor. So essentially day 5 and I still haven't been able to get my medication. Something very odd is going on at this pharmacy and I will not be going back, I recommend that anyone reading this review steers clear of this location as well. read more

My neighborhood Walgreens and it's your typical Walgreens. Staff is friendly it's easy to get to, and lots of parking. I come here for most of my prescriptions and the pharmacy staff is nice and prompt and they are quick to answer questions. The store is always well stocked I still have not had any issues not being able to find something. read more

Ok so it was not my regular prescription visit. In fact this time I talked to the pharmacist Wendy. She was beyond amazing. I've been dealing with horrible allergic reactions from my cats due to being home 24/7 because of Covid 19. So I've had to work from home so my allergies have been so bad. Usually I'm not Around my cats 24/7 but to stay safe during these times I've had no choice but to stay home. I went to an allergist that I did not like my treatments at all. Not only did my symptoms not improve but they got worse. I had asked that Allergist, a PA in fact, about getting a prescription. Well, Wendy went over my chart and informed me that all they did was send over over the counter prescriptions. That was a shock to me. She suggested I take Claritin and keep taking my Benadryl as needed but to increase it at night if needed as well. I had told her about my dry mouth symptoms as well and she said how it could possibly be due to my allergic reaction as well and suggested I get biogenesis Lozenges. I tried those and wow! My mouth dryness seemed to just disappear. So great suggestion! I've been going to this pharmacy as of late. I will tell you Wendy was beyond amazing answering all of my questions and giving me great advice on my symptoms which has helped over night and will make it more bearable until I see my new allergist next week. Also, the pharmacy staff has always been 100% amazing and gone above and beyond. I take bipolar medications so it's always important that I get my Meds on time and know the exact side effects to expect That sometimes doctors prescribing me medications different from the meds my Psych prescribes. So it's great because the staff always makes sure whatever meds are filled on time and will call when it's ready or even let me know if it's going to take longer than a day. Also when the team has gone out of their way contacting physicians for me making sure I get the medication that day as well when it's an antibiotic or whatever I've needed as well. This is the best experience I've ever had for a pharmacy and customer service in general! Thank you guys!!!! read more

Love making quick trips in here. Everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that makes this a 4 star is that CVS has more coupons and better deals. This used to be my go-to pharmacy I could count on. I have 2 special needs children and they rely on monthly meds. After my son recently spent 29 days in the hospital, nearly 2 weeks in ICU, he had medications at PCH to transfer to Walgreens. I've easily done this before, the current staff made this complicated, requiring multiple calls. My own medication I didn't fill while my son was in the hospital, suddenly the pharmacist doesn't agree with filling, though I had a current prescription from my doctor and I've been on it for years. How is that a thing I need to spend my time on now with a medically fragile son a home? If you don't come here yet, best avoid the trouble, they are not as good as they used to be. read more

I can just tell she really cares about her job and her customers. She carries so much knowledge on all the items i am buying and always has coupons and testers for you at the cash register! Next time Walgreens CO needs to have one person at the pharmacy windows or they have to have many more employees to work at a time. I have lived in Ahwatukee for over 20 years and have been a loyal customer to Walgreens on 48th Street and Elliot shopping there at least 3 times a week. Most of the cashiers know me by name and are very friendly and kind. So to my surprise having to deal with Megan the Manager today on a small issue was not only shocking and unprofessional but will prevent me from ever stepping back in that store to spend my money. On March 17th at 6:50 I made a $42.86 purchase, makeup, eyelashes, nail polish fun stuff a female needs to glam up on St Patty's Day. When getting ready at home and emptying my bag I noticed my $4.00 eyelashes were not in the bag. I had my son search my car to see if the fell out of the bag and they were nowhere to be found. Bummer but ok I told my family I would go to the store and I am sure they will be helpful and replace the eyelashes I didn't receive. Ok let's think about this I didn't want my money back just my eyelashes I purchased and did not receive. Really $4.00 I would go back to the store and lie, seriously. I was out of town on business for the week my first opportunity to go back to Walgreens was today. Then Megan... I kindly explained to her my story and I would like to get my eyelashes. Well Megan snaps her head smirks at me rips the receipt out of my hand and said "well I will go roll back the cameras and see". No I am so sorry this happen to you, what can I do to make it better, we value are customers, just straight up snotty bitch. I made some purchases here for my nonprofit group. I was able to get some gel deoderant with some coupons from the Sunday paper and coupons from the store. My final purchase was 12 sticks of deoderant for $21. I made the purchases over several times and at different stores because I am learning how the coupons work. I believe I scored with the price, and it will definitely help my group. The cashier was helpful, after I told her what I was doing. She didn't fully understand the coupons, but she tried. I plan on going back to see what more I can get for my nonprofit group. They can have some good deals, you just have to look for them. read more
