I always get my printed photos from Walgreens and honestly I've never had any issues at this location or other Walgreens. I walked up to the photo area that is clearly marked, I was told by the lady at the counter that there is only "one line" and she pointed to the cashier line. There was line rope and her gesturing seemed to indicate I needed to walk around the other side of it. So I walked to the line and walked back up to photo counter to request my photos again. She looked up and told me, "I told you there is one line." At that point I understood what I needed to do: I had to wait at the check out line to request my photos from a cashier. (There was no signage to say this was the protocol.) The photos printed turned out great but I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received today. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Walgreens why is it that you send texts out when a prescription no longer has refills and ask to have it renewed and then not actually do it? I am now with out a necessary prescription. When I spoke to the pharmacy about this they told me that I needed to reach out to my doctor and that this pharmacy is very busy and they don't have time to do it. The woman's response was snarky and said "did you know we don't have a manager?" How would I know this??? Then told me that my medicine is not an urgent need - I need this medicine to avoid a hypertensive crisis and low potassium! Zero stars for Walgreens. This one in particular. I am truly disappointed with the quality of customer care and service that happens when I walk into any Walgreens these days. Today was a tipping point and I won't be returning. This store sent me in circles with my sick child. I made an appointment to do a drive through appointment for some tests. Pharmacist said their test is the same as a box test... They recommend I go inside to complete a test vs drive thru window - indicating I needed to go to the front desk not the pharmacy (okay??) Even though there is direct advertising that you can get tests, cold flu meds, etc at the drive through... I did not fuss and I went inside. I mask me and my daughter up, head to the front service cashier. Front service adds my phone number and it isn't working. He claims I can make a new account.... I politely decline sharing I have an account and this account already has my info (insurance, etc) . He calls a manager over. Both individuals were not helpful and seemingly hating any interaction with people... The Manager shares that the front system isn't the same as the pharmacy. They are speaking to me like I should have known this... "I can clearly see these messages are from the Pharmacy..." she says... More importantly- why would pharmacy send me to the front cashier then if it's a different system? Anyway, I make no fuss and walk back to the pharmacy. The pharmacist directs me back to the front. I explain what had just happened. They walk me to a section where there are basic tests for purchase but I share I want to go through my insurance. This pharmacist shares insurance doesn't cover it. Wrong. Just got off the phone with my insurance and I'm granted 4 tests per three months per family member.... This place is absolutely clueless and I would not trust them with my health needs. I ran out of my blood pressure drug last Wed. I immediately called my MD and got a script sent to my on line mail pharma and a 10 day emergency script sent to Walgreens at Bethany. it is Saturday and I still have not heard from Walgreens. When my husband want into the store on Wed. afternoon, the pharma person told him they could not fill it because it overlapped the other script sent to to the mail order place. I called the mail order place and the agent, understanding that I needed the drug, sent Walgreens email overriding their decision. She tried to call them as well, but gave up because of the very long wait to speak to someone. Apparently, Walgreens is very short staffed and since it is the only drugstore in the area, just gets overwhelmed. But, my husband explained my need for the drug, just 10 pills, but it made no difference. I do not plan to shop here ever again. I buy a lot of items from them on a regular basis, but I am done. when a pharmacy can't understand a serious medical need, they need to do something else. shame on them. read more

Very rude older woman with short grey hair in the photo department. After speaking with an employee on the phone a few weeks ago about the passport photo service hours at this location I brought my family in to get the photos taken and was met by this rude employee telling me they wouldn't take the pictures for a few hours. When I tried to mention what I was told about their passport service hours over the phone she repeatedly cut me off and just told me that it wasn't available till 1:00 p.m. We'll never come back to this location again. Flu shot rating, if I could give zero I would. You think if you make an appointment they'd run close to on time, nope. Even with appointment you need to wait in the pharmacy line to check in, that was 20' waits, luck my I came early, thought I would be late but found guy with appointment ahead of me behind me in line. I have needed several prescriptions to live on for many years and if I could die and have almost with. when I have a problem because they won't stay open or staff properly per their signage and what the c says in the computer that makes it impossible and scary. they were good for more than ten years now I won't die due to them. read more

The woman who did eventually help me first meandered around the pharmacy, had a conversation with her coworker and did some paperwork before even acknowledging the 4 people waiting in line (which grew to 7 by the time I got out of there). I've never used their pharmacy so my review is based solely on the store and customer service. Compared to the Walgreens I usually shop at on NE Weidler, this Walgreens is paradise! Clean, well stocked, helpful sales personnel. I don't have to climb over street people as I walk in or get harassed for money. The store is large, well lit and the aisles are neat, organized and clean. When I'm in this area and I need to buy vitamins, shampoo or other personal items or get pictures developed, I stop in. The last time I visited, the woman running the beauty section told me about their loyalty program and since then, I've saved a few bucks. I've been very happy with my experiences. read more

For pharmacy- waited 20 min on phone to ask a 2 minute question then got cut off cuz all pharmacy staff went to afternoon break. Break great. But- Can do better scheduling. Maybe have 1 person cover phone for the break time to handle non urgent calls, or have a pharmacy line for appt confirms vs lengthy insurance kind of calls... I am frustrated to be on hold when I was "1st in line" for 20 minutes. Please do better cuz I really like your staff. read more

They don't even bother to pick up the phone. This is the last thing you want to deal with when you are trying to make the required meds available to patients who are in dire need for it. I agree with the previous reviews. Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens on NW Cornell Rd is very rude. I did a drive-through. After the Tech charged my credit card then asked me to wait for a pharmacist to provide instructions. After waiting for 30 minutes in the car, I ran inside the store and waited in line to tell the same Tech that I was late to an appointment. A customer in front of me heard that and said I could speak to the pharmacist first, but the Tech wouldn't let me. Walgreens has a drive-through but they totally ignored their customer in the drive-through. Don't ever use their drive-through. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, the pharmacist provided me the instructions by reading it from the print-out. My family and I will never return to Walgreens pharmacy. The Safeway pharmacy across the street has faster, better service with supper nice professionals. read more

I just experienced the rudest behavior from the male pharmacy tech at this location. I will never come here again! He was selectively telling customers that it was getting close to his lunch time and directing them to return after 2pm. Mind you, the posted sign said the pharmacy's was closed from 1:30pm-2:00pm and it was 12:15pm. I personally saw him direct a couple who came in for a COVID booster shot and another person who came in for the individual vaccine shot to return after 2pm. The pharmacy wasn't busy at all. The worst pharmacy in all the land. Pulled up to to the drive thru at 6:58 knowing that the inside closes at 7 and they only use the drive thru. No one even acknowledged my existence until nearly 15 minutes later. Then they didn't even have one of my scrips ready that was sent in 7.5 hours earlier. Gave the lady my benefits card to use and she still ran my card on file instead. I wish this was my first terrible experience with this pharmacy but it's not. I am a patient who had spinal cord surgery this month, and I have had nothing but terrible service from this pharmacy while trying to get my pain medication prescriptions filled in order to recover from my surgery. The first time I had a paper prescription given to me after leaving the surgery center at 10:00 am on 12/7/22. My daughter and I dropped off the prescription at this pharmacy drive-through at 10:30 am, and said we would come back to pick it up later. My doctor had told me to take the pain medication at 2:00 pm, as it was important not to let the pain get out of control, or it would have to be handled in the hospital. I called at 1:30 pm and was told that they didn't have my new insurance information, even though I gave them my new card when I dropped off the prescription, and I had entered the new insurance information in the app the night before . I called again at 2:00 pm and was told it wasn't ready, and to just wait for them to text me that the prescription was ready. I began to feel intense pain at 3:30 pm, so I called again and was put on hold multiple times, and finally hung up on. I called and spoke with the store manager at 3:45 pm, and she said she would put my call through to the pharmacy with priority status. The phone rang in the pharmacy 50 times with no answer, then I was hung up on. I then had my daughter take me into the pharmacy, where I asked for my paper prescriptions back so I could take them to a pharmacy that was willing to fill them. I was told they would be filled in 15 minutes, so I waited, standing in excruciating spinal cord pain. The next week, on 12/12/22, I needed a refill, and my doctor's office sent over an electronic prescription. The pharmacy told my husband that they never received it. I called the doctor the next morning, desperate, asking when they would send it over. They said they did send it over, and the pharmacy filled it. Finally my husband was able to pick it up the next day. This week, today, 12/19/22, I again needed a refill. My doctor's office said they would send it over to the pharmacy electronically again. I started calling the pharmacy at 6:30 pm to see if it was ready. Sara told me they had the prescription but it wasn't ready, and she didn't know when it would be ready, but they would text me when it was. I called again at 8:20 pm, knowing they close at 9:00 pm, to ask if it was ready, but when I gave my name, Sara just put me on hold again, and again, and again, for 30 minutes. My daughter called on own phone for me, and Sara told her that they never received my prescription from the doctor's office, and to just call back tomorrow. I hung up from my permanent hold and called again, and Sara said that she already told someone else that they never received it, so try again tomorrow (I didn't have enough pills to get through until my husband would get home to give me a ride to the pharmacy tomorrow - I can't drive myself on this medication). I told her that wasn't true, because she had already told me earlier that she did have the prescription, it just wasn't ready yet. She denied it and put me on hold again forever. I called back and spoke with someone else, and told her to please not fill this prescription or any other prescription for me ever again, because I will never go to that Walgreens ever again. I will ask my doctor to send it to the CVS down the road. I've gone to this pharmacy for 3 years with no problems until May of this year, now it's nothing but problems and a lack of service that makes it clear that this pharmacy cares absolutely nothing about its patients. In the pharmacy needs improvement with customer service. I think management needs their hands slapped, not the employees in the pharmacy, they are just under so much pressure to do their jobs because they are overwhelmed with customers. The worst pharmacy, and pharmacy manager Sarah absolutely does not care about the welfare of the patients. I had spine surgery and dropped off my paper prescriptions for pain medication right after getting out of the surgery center. Hours later, the app tells me my prescription can't be filled because of an insurance issue. I had updated the app with my new insurance the night before, and provided the new card when I dropped off the prescriptions. I gave my insurance information again, and they said they would fill it now and text me when it was ready. They never did, and when I called to ask about the status, I was put on hold over and over again, then hung up on. I called the store manager, who said she would put me through to the pharmacy with "priority," and the phone rang 50 times before disconnecting me. With my pain rapidly getting out of control (hours after the doctor told me I should take my first pill), I had my daughter take me back, and after being ignored by the two people standing at the cash registers (with the line behind me steadily growing), I finally got someone to speak to me. I said that I needed my medication now (7 hours after dropping the scripts off), or else I needed my paper prescriptions back to take them to a pharmacy that was willing to fill them. She said they would be ready in 15 minutes, so I stood in excruciating pain until I finally got my medication. Nothing but incompetence, lies, rudeness, being placed on permanent hold and being hung up on each time a refill was electronically sent over. I will never go into this pharmacy ever again. I have repeatedly had problems with this pharmacy. Most recently they refused to refill a prescription after my physician called it in twice. They mistakenly assumed it was 'too soon' to refill. This was incorrect and they would not tell me why the delay. I called 4 times, cut off twice and on hold 10-15. Inures the other two times. They also have repeatedly refused to accept valid prescription coupons (GoodRx) and once told me it was not worth their time to try to figure it out. Wait times are unreasonably long in the store and forget the drive through. I will be changing pharmacies. read more

This branch refused to release the prescribed insulin to my partner for THREE DAYS, even after the doctor called them twice (he had just switched jobs and he had to do tele health while waiting to see his new doctor; it shouldn't have a problem, but the pharmacist said they couldn't understand the directions, which is ludicrous; insulin is insulin, there is no question about it). The second time around, after the doctor called again, he was assured the insulin was going to be ready for pickup at 3 pm 7/19/2022 (the doctor noted how extraordinarily rude the pharmacist was when they called, which was my partner's experience as well). My partner went to pick it up around 5 pm after work, and it was STILL not available; the tech had left, was the answer, there was nothing they could do. My partner had to inject expired insulin into his body to get his blood sugar to go down (risking his health) while he rushed to urgent care to get the insulin he needed. Insulin isn't like a pack of Tylenol, you can't get it elsewhere and if my partner doesn't get it, he will die. We'll be switching over to CSV and we will NEVER do business with this company again. NO ONE should use this pharmacy, especially those with Type 1 Diabetes. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! read more

I just got my pneumonia shot at the CVS in Toco Hill yesterday. Why? Because the pharmacist's attitude about giving me one at the Oak Grove Walgreens was totally unacceptable. I went early on a Sunday morning (thinking it wouldn't be busy then) and was admonished to never come to a pharmacy for anything like that during the opening hour or closing hour, since pharmacists are very busy. I was told to come back in an hour. I shopped in the store and killed 1 1/2 hours and returned to the Pharmacy Department. The Pharmacist rudely said there was no way she could help me that day and to come back between 10-5, Monday thru Friday. It wasn't what she told me, but the rudeness in her voice that was such a put off. I stopped by the closest CVS, asked if they could accommodate me. They said they would get the vaccine and call me in the morning. Then I could come at my convenience to get the vaccine. I took care of it on the weekend. Problem solved. Buh-bye, Walgreen's Pharmacy......you have lost a customer. I have always found the other store personnel at this Walgreens store very nice - but this pharmacist needs an attitude adjustment if you are going to keep your customers. read more

Do not go to this location. Ever. I brought in a copy of a prescription that was at another pharmacy and requested that it be transferred to Walgreens since that's where my plan recommends. After filling out some paperwork, I was told Walgreens would call the pharmacy and get the prescription transferred over and call me back. They never did nor did they have any record that I'd even made the request. Another time my doctor called in a prescription for antibiotics for strep throat for my son. We went straight over so we could take it as soon as possible. Walgreens claimed they hadn't received it. I called my doctor and they said they'd sent it over but that they'd also call to reconfirm. (Meanwhile we went to another appointment.) We went back to pick it up and they still couldn't find the prescription! Eventually the pharmacist did see it and claimed she couldn't access it before, "because someone else had it on an open screen." I thought, "Great! they must be filling it." Nope. By this point there were two prescriptions in the system, neither ready. At this point my son with strep throat had been waiting for three hours to get meds so I told the pharmacist we were going to go get dinner and come back and to call me when it was ready. It was 5:30 PM. They said nothing to me. When I returned at 6:07 pm, they were closed and I couldn't get my son's prescription because they had closed at 6 pm. read more

I would give the, zero stars if possible. Elderly had urgent need for some medical products. Guy in phone very poor communicator. Said I had to use web site if we did not want to come into the store. The website is full of glitches. Do not order from them if you have urgent need of medical products. So still desperate I just ordered one product with their supposed same day delivery service. i ordered around 5 pm, before 6pm there cut off period. It is 10pm. I called and they said door dash did not pick it up. So do not trust with any urgent medical needs. They do not say on website , it depends upon whether door dash decides to come and get it. Their website is very dishonest. I honestly can not say when I have received worse service. protect your health, use another pharmacy. The original fellow on the phone this after noon, understood very little of what was going on. Protect your life go elsewhere. This new Walgreen's is great. So nice and bright and clean; it was an amazing drug store experience. I've been to the old location a few times and this one is a significant improvement. The aisles were wide and the stuff was much easier to find as a result. The parking lot is a shade confusing to get into due to the intersection. Head a bit east and then turn in. The exit is at the far east end of the lot. I don't go a lot just due to location. This is not super close to work or house. I wish it was. read more

Still sucks. Oftentimes, I have to come back 3x for routine generic scripts. Also, they hold routine scripts for pharmacist education despite the scripts not being new or altered in any way.
