It's definitely worth the drive from Baton Rouge. All the employees are really nice and caring. I was having problems with my insurance company and the CVS (Perkins Rowe) and Lagniappe were the only places that had my medication. Eric and Makaela have gone above and beyond dealing with my insurance company and getting my meds. approved. Meanwhile I had to keep calling CVS, was getting mixed info. from different employees, would drive all the way across town bc a pharmacist told me it was ready when it wasn't, waited 4 extra days bc they "forgot" to call me and tell me that they didn't even have my medication and that they would have to order it. I drove back and forth across town 4 times bc the CVS pharmacy techs and pharmacists weren't communicating with each other or with me. Trust me it's worth the drive from Baton Rouge to not have to deal with all that stress every time and it's nice to go to a pharmacy where the employees actually care about you. They also sell Circle E & Orleans Candles, cards, medical supplies, soap, ziploc bags, fabric softener etc.... and other household items.

They also have filled my prescriptions in record times compared to any chain store when I came in early and needed them because I was in pain. I used my insurance company mail in service for many years due to the supposed cost savings, and had forgotten how useful it is at times to be able to ask the pharmacist questions about the drugs I was taking, or about other minor health issues. But after a number of problems with the computer generated refill service, I decided to check out how much it would cost to buy my prescriptions locally at brick and mortar stores. Ralph's cost was equal to or lower than the 4 other pharmacies I checked with, and was within "pennies" of the mail order prices. And no more problems talking to a "computer" trying to get a refill sent when I need it, or cancel a prescription when the doctor changes the drugs I'm taking. But its really about the staff -- can't say enough about how good they are. (re the Pelican Point location,)

I switched from a large retail pharmacy to Lagniappe when I moved to Prairieville 3 years ago. I…read moream so glad that I found this pharmacy!! Medications that I had been paying $200+ dollars/month for, due to my insurance not covering the medication, were suddenly available to me for $15/month because the staff at Lagniappe took the time to research my medications and found drug coupons. They did this completely unsolicited...just because they care about customer satisfaction! My prescriptions are ready on time and I get a text notifying me when it is time to pick them up. When I ran out of refills, the Pharmacy Tech called my Physician on my behalf to get more refills authorized. I have never dealt with such a customer-oriented Pharmacy!!

I am very disappointed in how bad this store has become. Whenever I switched my prescriptions to CVS several years ago, it was all positive. The drive-thru lines became almost unbearable, but the workers at the window were good. Then, they went to only one line, and it was worse. Recently, they closed all drive-thru service. This morning, I went to pick up a prescription that had been called in by the doctor for a family member who just had surgery and needed to begin this new medicine. I was informed they couldn't find a pharmacist to come in, so the pharmacy was closed. When asked what I could do, the manager said, "There is nothing we can do." This is unacceptable! Good employees and caring people will find a solution to maintain a loyal customer. This manager did nothing! Through our own resources and persistence, we found someone on the corporate level to help us switch the prescription to another CVS location. We are happy to have the medicine but completely disgusted with CVS for this experience. No one showed empathy or had any plan in mind to deal with this type of emergency. The customer had to do all the work to get the prescription. The manager indicated they had spoken to corporate about the issue. However, corporate said they did not know about the pharmacy's closure for the day. Someone is lying. Regardless, it speaks of a bad corporate culture. If this store cannot serve its community properly, it should close. Or at least remove the name "pharmacy" from its title.
