This Walgreens pharmacy has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I was trying to fill a controlled medication, which already comes with enough stress, and had my mom arranged to pick it up for me because I don't currently have my license. She lives an hour and a half away, so this required coordination and planning. I was told the prescription would be ready on the 17th, but then kept receiving delay notifications saying there was an insurance issue. After multiple alerts, I called the pharmacy just to get clarity before having her make a long trip. I was very clear that I understood the medication couldn't be picked up until the 19th and that I was fine with that. I was simply trying to understand why I had been told the 17th in the first place. I wasn't asking for anything early or unreasonable. Instead, the pharmacist on duty was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly cut me off. I couldn't finish a sentence without being talked over. There was no effort to explain the discrepancy or acknowledge the inconvenience this caused. Being treated this way by the person in charge, while trying to avoid sending someone on a 3-hour round trip unnecessarily, was infuriating. This isn't a one-time issue. Previously, this same pharmacy did not have enough medication for a full supply and only provided a 3-day supply, then later said they could not fill the remainder due to an insurance issue. I was forced to go back to my doctor for a completely new prescription, something that is stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable. This pharmacy shows a clear pattern of poor communication, lack of accountability, and zero empathy. Medications are not optional, and patients should not be treated like a burden for asking reasonable questions. I would strongly caution anyone who depends on their prescriptions to consider another pharmacy. read more

Every single time I have dealt with this location, I have been met with a dismissive attitude that always makes me feel like I am bothering the staff. Not only are they explicitly rude, but incompetent; In an effort to pick up my prescription after changing to a new insurance, I was told three different things by three different employees that led me through a path of needless stress and rigmarole. The problem ended up being that my new insurance basically doesn't work with Walgreens but I remain confused by why this was so hard to explain to me. When hashing this out with CVS, they recognized the issue immediately and explained it in a way that didn't make me feel stupid unlike how the staff at this Walgreens has done many times. read more

On MULTIPLE occasions this pharmacy has not filled my prescription on a timely or reliable basis. As recent as yesterday, a new prescription was sent by my Dr. at 9:45am. This is a NECESSARY AND URGENT medication. I called this morning (24 hrs later) and was told they have the prescription but are "busy" and could I come today after 1pm! It is NOT ok for them to postpone an urgently needed prescription without making me aware they cannot fill it. This is unacceptable and quite frankly abusive. My Dr. wanted me to start this immediately and I still don't have the medication! I have contacted another local pharmacy who will fill it once Walgreens at Millbrook and Creedmore releases it. Still waiting. Next step- I'll sue! DO NOT USE WALGREENS!! read more

The Walgreens at the corner of Millbrook and Creedmoor has absolutely the worst customer service of all the Pharmacies in the Triangle. I have put up with their rude, arrogant, and bad attitudes long enough. I have finally changed to another pharmacy , even though it is a further drive, and not convenient. It continues to amaze me how well Walgreens fits to their corporate layout. This store could just as easily have been Cape Coral FL, Boston MA or Battle Creek MI. The layout is exactly the same, the products are the same and the parking is the same. This store has personal care, over-the-counter medications, greeting cards, cosmetics, etc. Snacks, candies and cold drinks. They also have an ATM that is in my network. The pharmacy is trash with long wait times via drive thru and someone that comes back on the intercom every 10 mins to tell you, "that someone will be with you shortly. 0/10 - do not recommended. You're better off driving down the street to another store. read more

I used the automated system to renew my prescription and several days later I waited in line for 20 minutes, just to be told that the doctor "shut my prescription down". After checking my chart, and confirming with my physician, in fact, the prescription was renewed at Walgreens. When I asked why she hadn't called me, she told me that they can't call everyone. Then the pharmacy manager told me that there are other Walgreens I can go to. I would rather go somewhere else and not patronize Walgreens. The problem is they are so big that they will not fail and knowing that, have decided to forgo any semblance of customer service. I'd rather go to a private pharmacy and pay 10 times more. read more

I have tolerated this pharmacy for a few years because it was very convenient from my house. My daughter has two insurances and almost every time I get her prescriptions filled, they never run it through the second insurance. This causes me to have to wait longer or even delay the people behind me. I'm switching to a pharmacy because I just can't deal with the lack of getting it right after a number of tries. read more

Was told by Lacey my husband's 2 prescriptions would not be ready until tomorrow and another gentleman who dropped his off would get his in 5 minutes. Asked why and was told he needed hos now. Before I could tell her that my 75yo husband had just come from the Dr and his had been called in 2 hours ago and he was suffering and needed his now also, she turned around and walked away. read more

Be warned...the pharmacy will close 15 minutes early without notice. Today, I went through the drive through at 7:46pm and there is a sign that is posted "Pharmacy closed, see posted hours". The posted closing hours is 8pm Monday - Friday. I think to myself, ok, maybe they close the drive through early? I go inside to see that they're closed, people behind the counter, but the divider pulled all the way closed. This was 12 minutes before they should've closed. The pharmacy consistently misses the mark on customer service. Multiple attempts to give them ample time over two days they still were ready when they said they were. In addition, they fail to be proactive in notifications when there is a problem filling an order. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

The reason I'm giving this Walgreens a 3 rather than a 5 is because of an incident I experienced this morning. I came in around 8:15am to pick up a few things. Apparently the manager was firing an employee and the f bombs and shouting were heard loudly. They were having this confrontation in the middle of the store. I would think a better place would have been in the back room. Anywhere but the middle of the store! Needless to say I avoided the war zone and quickly checked out. Benjamin, the clerk at the front, is a gem! He deserves 10 stars! He's always polite and full of compliments. If it weren't for Benjamin I would have given a one star rating. Maybe fire employees in a private place, not in an area where customers can hear everything. Awkward! read more

This pharmacy has been such a blessing to me. Tom is such an amazing pharmacist. He goes above and beyond calling my insurance, calling my Dr, and making sure I'm safe. Dropped off a prescription and needed to print some photos while I waited. Only one of the three photo printers was working and it was occupied, so after waiting for that, it wasn't working properly either. I asked someone for help and she didn't acknowledge me at all. Asked someone else and he didn't know how to fix it. Decided just to pick up my RX and leave- but when I went back there to get it (about 45 minutes later) I was told it hadn't even been entered in yet. Colossal waste of my time! read more

Last year my grandmother shared a story about this gold locket she adored with a picture of both my grandfather and herself, but lost it a long time ago and missed it very much. After my grandfather passing away earlier this year, I wanted to do something special and get her a gold locket with their pictures in it once more. I talked to a few of my photographer buddies and they weren't sure how to shrink photos into such a tiny locket. I go to Walgreens for all of my pictures because they are always so friendly, it's easy, and cheap so I thought I'd try their expertise on this. Eddie and Jonathan made something that seemed so impossible, possible. Not only were they extremely helpful, but were hilarious!
