The people working at the pharmacy are indifferent--not happy about their jobs, okay with ignoring patients/clients. I had an appointment for two vaccines. I checked in using the QR code, waited 20 minutes in the waiting area in front of the pharmacy counter (This is what I was directed to do), and then went to the counter to ask when I might get my vaccines. The pharmacists had no idea that I had checked in, and they told me to wait again. After ten more minutes, I left (the pharmacists were unavailable) without my vaccines. On a positive note, the people who work the register at the front are always kind and helpful. read more

The pharmacy in this Walgreens is very poorly run. Time after time, the automated status check is incorrect or incomplete. One pharmacist tells me my script will be ready for pickup in two hours. I call 3 hours later and the automated check runs thru a litany of meds I took 2-3 years ago after eye surgery, in other words, irrelevant information, and no info on the script I called in. The pharmacy techs are the most inarticulate people you will ever speak with, and then they cannot even successfully transfer my call to the pharmacist. WHEN i called back for the 5th time in one day, and asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to a "lead" who was very courteous, took my info and called me back within five minutes. Said the script would be ready in 5 minutes. I will be using a different pharmacy going forward. This is the worst. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! I came to pick up a prescription for my father and they asked me what the correct dosage should be, cause they were unsure. I didn't know, so I left and got the info and came back. Then their computers weren't working. So I again left, and finally on the third day after waiting over 15 minutes, they gave me the prescription. Now, totally different situation, I need a Covid test. Schedule an appointment online, wait in line for 30 minutes, computer issue again, and can I come back in 30 minutes. What am I supposed to do for thirty minutes?! I'm sick and feel like crap, I can't go in the store. I can't go home, I'll just sleep. I just want my Covid test. WORST WALGREENS PHARMACY EVER! The pharmacy team at this Walgreens have some of the rudest most incompetent employees I have ever seen went to get my sisters medications who was visiting from out of state and they said would be ready at 10 but wasn't because they hadn't even started yet because she was out of state and couldn't find her insurance we come back it's the same fucking thing and the pharmacy tech who was helping was extremely rude and condescending we just paid outright because it wasn't worth the fucking hassle from these people who don't give a shit. This Walgreens has had multiple problems but I just keep trying to make them a positive location because I really don't like the Enchanted Hills location. First, I had a situation where I paid for a very expensive Visa gift card only to have it not work because they had an internet issue that they did not divulge. It took several tries with the manager to get it straightened out. Today I went through the pharmacy drive thru and was given a prescription that wasn't mine but was a schedule II narcotic. I drove around and immediately went to the pharmacy, bypassing the long line in case it belonged to a customer trying to check out, to exchange it for my own. read more

After setting up appts for our Covid boosters we were turned away due to no insurance. The pharmacy employee talked down to us and told us they were no longer free. We were kept there for 20 minutes while she said she had to contact her manager to see if she could find any way to let us have our booster. Why do people have to act so ugly? We went across the street to CVS and they had us out in ten minutes. We will be switching all of our prescriptions and any business in the future to CVS. Just say no to Walgreens!!! read more

A great store store for retail business, but an absolutely abysmal pharmacy. I got a text that my 2 pending Rxs were ready for pick up, went in 5 hours later to get them, only to be told one was still being worked on. I asked to get the one that was ready and was asked to take a seat and "I'll call you up." I replied that if it was ready, would she please just grab it from the bin and I'd be back for the other Rx. I'd been standing in line for 10 minutes and there were 6 folks still in line. Why on God's green earth would I want to take a seat when the prescription was ready (or at least one was)? The tech told me I didn't need to be so rude as she turned away. I replied I wasn't trying to be rude and didn't think her comment was at all appropriate. I checked out and before I left, asked to speak with a manager. I explained what happened, after which he agreed my interchange with the tech was not appropriate. But now the reason for the lousy review...after being told my second Rx would be ready in 15 minutes, I discovered 24 hours later the Rx still wasn't ready because it "was stuck" in the system awaiting pharmacist review. I spoke with a very cordial pharmacist who said she couldn't explain what had happened but it would be ready in 30 minutes. Hmmm...since I complained about the tech by name, I do wonder who "stuck" my refill. And this happens every month. I empathize with short staffing and rude customers, but I wasn't rude initially. Now I'm just done. My last Rx from this location. Another example of why this Walgreens has such a low rating. The front end staff and the pharmacists have always been great but, unfortunately, the techs all appear to need a few courses in customer service. read more

I went to the Walgreens at 528 and Southern in Rio Rancho to pick up a prescription. I showed up at 12:35pm, sat in line for 25 minutes and when I was next in line it was 1pm and a pharmacy staff member announced to myself and the 3 other people in line that "You are all screwed so we are not screwed out of our lunch break. You will not be served...come back later". I went to the front of the store to get the store manager and was told there is no manager on weekends but the lady I spoke to mentioned that she was the supervisor in charge. When I told her what myself and the others were told, she advised me to call corporate and said that the pharmacy staff does this all the time and that they are terrible. She said she was not the manager so she could not do anything to address it. She said go get their names and report them to corporate. She also gave me the phone # to call corporate. I went back to the pharmacy to get the names of they folks, especially the one that said we were "screwed" but they all turned their back and walked to the back of the pharmacy area so their names could not be captured. I recognize they have a time slot allocated for lunch but there was no sign posted noting the hours for lunch, and we were in line 25 minute prior. I have called corporate and they were shocked with the behaviors of this pharmacy department. I will be pursuing further action from corporate as you can't talk to people this way especially when it creates a patient safety issue. I will also be changing all of my prescriptions over to CVS immediately. Shame on you Walgreens at 528 and Southern in Rio Rancho! read more

I have never had such an issue getting medications in my life. I work in the medical field and unfortunately came down with the flu. they were out of stock of both medications I needed to get back on my feet and get back to my job. so I went back the next morning for one of the medications that I was told would be filled first thing in the morning, the female at the counter kept interrupting me story, arguing with me, and after everything told me it wouldn't be ready until 2pm. she didn't even apologize! I work six 12 hour shifts a week and will be telling every patient I take care of about my horrible experience wIth Walgreens on southerns pharmacy. Will never shop here again. read more

Worst pharmacy. I had to go back four times because they continued to tell me my daughters strep medicine wasn't ready. The third time I went I was frustrated and told the lady I had already been back twice before and they told me it would be ready at said time and she had THE WORST high school attitude with me saying it would be another thirty minutes and giving me more excuses how she was the only one (she wasn't the only one the second time I went there. There were four others) and said I can wait or go and then slammed the drive through phone up on me. Love how convenient and close this Walgreens is! There's rarely a long wait at the register and the staff is always so friendly. I also love that it's open 24/7 and it's a quick in and out unlike other businesses in the area. A little pricey but has great sales and you can use points for cash rewards. Dumbass overnight cashier doesn't know how to void an item in a transaction, cancel and restart. Literally charged us and didn't let us take the merchandise AND his dumbass manager too said "it takes a min for the refund" when the transaction should've never gone through and charged us if he cancelled the transaction. He didn't want to refund us either, you can't fool a previous 2 yr long walmart cashier who deals with that sh*t daily. Just go ahead take the extra time to turn around and go to the CVS on the other side of the street as you'll have a nicer experience with kind employees unlike here. read more

I absolutely agree with all the other 1 star reviews on this site. The pharmacy is terrible. The phone system is terrible - I too have sat on hold multiple times for over 30 minutes only to be disconnected. I have received the wrong medication. I have had multiple prescriptions delayed. I have sat in the drive-up line for over an hour. Even our doctor has recommended we don't use them. The only reason we do is because they're open 24-hours. If you have another option go with it. The 1.5 star rating is deserved. read more

Pretty much your run-of-the-mill Walgreens. The front cashiers are usually pleasant. The pharmacy folks are normally pleasant but when they are understaffed (which is most of the Tim) the service deteriorates. This isn't abnormal for the big chain stores like Walgreens and cvs. The store is clean and I can usually find what I need. It's nice it's open 24 hours. One complaint. If you have a prescription here and it's generic be prepared to get a pill from a different manufacturer many times a year. This is beyond annoying read more

Love this location!!! Every single time I enter this store I am greeted with a "hello, welcome to Walgreens". Every time. There is always someone willing to help either Pam H. or the really nice young lady with the two names. The managers are also so accommodating and helpful no matter what they are doing. They always want you to have a great experience. Which I always do. Now the pharmacy department is the best!!! Van the pharmacist is so friendly and helpful and is always available is needed. I rarely give a bad review but I needed to this time. I called the pharmacy because I needed to update our insurance. I first tried to speak to a lady through the drive through about it and she acted like I was bothering her so I didn't press after she said "well your other insurance covered this". So I called later on and I was on hold for about 30 minutes and the machine didn't say I had any callers ahead of me. Then Shannon answered. I told her I needed to update my husband and my insurance since my husband's prescription was coming back as delayed. She said "what's the BIN" "I said I'm so sorry I don't know what that is.." as I was saying that she interrupted loudly over me a long slew of words explaining to me to not look at the member ID but the pharmacy card. I didn't really understand her too well because she was talking loudly and fast. So I just said "the member ID is..." she said "ya that's the insurance card look at the pharmacy card." So I luckily found it and gave it to her. She then said "what's your date of birth" and I gave it to her. She just typed away then said "okay do you need a perscription?" And I said "oh no my husband does, I got an email saying...." Cut off LOUDLY "yeah we're working on it." "Anything else?" This was a horrible experience, I've never been spoken to this way in my life from a customer service representative. I have been in customer service my whole professional life and I understand being frustrated but this was so shocking to me. So now I am making sure I never return to Walgreens pharmacy and move on over to CVS. I really hope they can get a better team at the Walgreens on 528 and Southern. read more

Believe all of the negative reviews you see here. This is no joke. Be prepared for a minimum 30 minutes standing in line even when your prescriptions have already been filled. Up to an hour if you are waiting in the drive-through. No matter what time you show up. I once gave up after 20 minutes and I was the ONLY PERSON waiting! Chronically understaffed with no motivation to change it. Computer systems frequently down. Phone alerts don't work. If I could give 0 stars I would!! Let's start with the pharmacy the night time part time pharmacist unfortunately I don't have her name because the store manager won't give it to me. We have had nothing but issues with her I'm currently taking a pain medication for several oral surgeries since September and there is always an issue with getting it filled. I call I'm on hold for at least an hour just to be hung up on. Well I went to pick up my meds and of course issue after issue. I was extremely upset. I spoke to 2 store mangers that were absolutely nasty to me!! Then the nasty pharmacist decided to completely block my medication and get this she did it because I made a huge deal I even confronted her and she didn't deny it. The technician Shannon is a nightmare rude nasty person who shouldn't be in customer service. The store manager Kristy I believe her name is, is useless and hung up on me twice. I have never ever been treated with such disrespect in my life. Not to mention they make you feel as if you are doing something wrong when you take a pain medication. I'm sorry, if my Dr prescribes it then there is a reason for it. If the Asian nighttime pharmacist had a problem with this rx why didn't she call the Dr months ago? She's only making this hard on me because I complained because I'm not going to let her control me and my health. The pharmacy manager is worthless she does nothing to correct the issues. We have been using Walgreens forever because of our insurance which is unfortunate. Maybe the majority of people just put up with it and get treated horrible because they have no other place to to use. Walgreens does NOT care for the customers at all. Unfortunately, I have been coming here for over five years but they still had a wrong phone number. The pharmacy technician curtly told me to sit in the chair while my prescription was being prepared. An hour and a half later, the pharmacist looks at me through the window and shouts, "what's your name?". I said, "what the h---! You have me waiting for an hour an a half and you don't know who I am?". She says, "Well, I don't know. This package has been waiting here by the window for while." I said, "it would have been nice to have let me known. I'm sick, you know." She said, "I don't know why it was just sitting here." In the background I could see her, the pharmacy tech just looking. Please, please move that woman into the loading and stocking part of the store, not working with people. She has no personal skills, no compassion, and takes no responsibility for her own errors. I went to this Walgreens 9/10 around 930pm and i had Alexandra as my pharmacy tech. I gave her my DOB and she couldn't hear my so I told her one more time. She got an attitude and had another gentleman help me. He was very nice. I asked him what her name was and he said he didn't know. I came into the store to ask my questions about my son and husbands refills and she was very rude, condescending and didn't help me with what I needed.I have dealt with her in the past and she continues to be rude. She sarcastically told me to have a great night. I get she might not like her job but that is not my problem. I'm a nurse and this was the most horrible patient care experience I have had at this Walgreens. I understand she could be having a hard day but leave your problems at the door. I talk to the manager last night and he was helpful along with Susie but Alexandra wasn't pleasant and I will no longer be going there. If I could give her no stars I would. They lose refill orders from doctors, fail to call doctors to get refills prescribed, blame the doctor office instead of taking ownership, give false information over the phone to customers, incredibly rude both on phone and in person. Few things I like about this Walgreens: OPEN 24/7, including the pharmacy. I can't tell you how great this is for myself and fellow night shift workers. I have never felt unsafe at this location. This Walgreens Pharmacy goes above and beyond to be rude, incompetent and snotty. I was informed BY DONNA, THE TECH, after waiting nearly 2 weeks for 3 Rx to be filled, that "they have thousands of customers and do not have time to call when there is a problem"...granted, these RX were "carefully reviewed" by the tech on the day I physically dropped them at the drivethru. I had to wait in line while this was accomplished, and THAT tech said all was good. Today I am told there is a signature missing, that they had faxed my doctor "every day"...well, DONNA! Walgreens had the WRONG FAX #. I spent over TWO HOURS calling the doctor, calling Walgreens, being routed thru the stupid robot system...meanwhile, my "APP" on my phone says theRX ARE READY....they were NOT READY. FAR FROM READY. I asked for a manager and was put through to a ringing line that had no answer for 10 minutes. Just rang. I completed a phone poll on service, gave lowest scores.This prompted the call to initiate a second poll that asked me my "sex, race, age and annual income". WHAT???? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I see SO MANY COMPLAINTS here about Walgreens. They clearly do not care about customers. Can we all try to go to another pharmacy??? Rio Rancho is growing much too quickly, but we need to address this. My household will try to write to the main office. I'm filling these RX then going somewhere else. CVS is not much better here, but I will go there until I can find a small, locally owned pharmacy to give my business to. read more

We get all our prescriptions filled at this location and I have no idea why. Every time I come pick up a prescription there is always a massive line. I wait a hour or more when I come for prescriptions. The drive through should only be used for drop off and pick up and that's it not people arguing. It's almost like each car takes 15-20 min to get through the line. If you go inside it's the same wait time or they shut the inside so the outside backs up. Recently I called the store while I waited outside for 1 hour and 20 minutes and ended up waiting 10 minutes to get through to anyone. When we finally got to the window we noticed the inside was closed and that was the reason the line was so backed up. The staff are not friendly but I can only imagine they are probably just overwhelmed too. Reconsider doing business here until they get staffed. The unfortunate part is that they are always like this so I do not know how that will work out. read more

Worst customer service pharmacy ever. Not only are they slow they don't inform you of anything and the staff has no personality. When telling me there were insurance issues they failed to tell me they were out of the medication. So we had to scramble to find it.
