This is a highly unpredictable pharmacy. Take their posted hours with a grain of salt. Sometimes the pharmacy is unexpectedly closed in the day, sometimes it's only open for a few hours. It can be highly frustrating, especially when they put your medication back even though you've tried to pick it up umpteen times but they've been closed at those unpredictable times. :-S Today my prescriptions were ready without a wait. What's my secret? I gave them a couple extra days to be on the safe side -- last time they didn't have anything ready. I'm not sure why they tend to not have prescriptions filled even when the automated system says they're ready. I only gave three stars this time, because I received multiple phone calls saying the pharmacy was closed at random times. these people never answer the phone. I was on hold for twenty minutes and drove another ten minutes to this store. I was still on hold when I went to the counter. I pointed out to the technician that I am on hold and no one is even on the phone. she looked on and ignored my statement. don't bother calling and hopefully they are open when you arrive. as they are sometimes closed during business hour. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy. The blonde at the counter couldn't figure out my script even though I got a call and said it was ready. They gave me a 90 day supply which I don't need. Then she said she had to refund it and start all over again. Then she called the manager Ashley over and things got worse. She worked on the script for like 15 more minutes. Then she set it aside and the blonde knew the script was ready and she called someone else before me. Finally I asked Ashley to help the blonde and with disgust she finally did. I was in the store for 30 minutes. Either they are ignorant or they do it deliberately. Either way I'll look for another pharmacy that has more than 2 stars. Every time I deal with this one staff member, nothing ever "shows up" for her. Even after all the different information she gathers from me, somehow she still can't find anything. I honestly have no idea how she does her job because she makes everything way more stressful and turns simple things into a whole mess. And then at the end she calls me "honey" like I'm the one who doesn't get it. Seriously?? I called the Walgreens at 5540 S 900 E and told her clearly that she needed to call the other pharmacy to get permission for the prescription transfer, since this is the only location within walking distance for me. She kept insisting the prescribed medication wasn't there. So I had to call the Redwood pharmacy myself -- and they confirmed it was there and that 5540 just needed to call them! Thankfully, on my third call back to 5540, I got a different staff member who helped smoothly, quickly, and without stressing me out and definitely without calling me "honey" Now I have to go back and pick up the medication, which probably means dealing with her again... and being called "honey" in every sentence. My boyfriend tried to go pick up my sleeping meds for me, but he had to work late so he called at around 6:30 PM to ask if he could come in at to 7:01 just a minute after they close and was left on hold for 20 minutes And when someone answered, they hung up on him so he called back and when he asked if they could stay open for one extra minute for him to pick up my meds The worker told him "I'm not working late for you" and hung up on him. i will be moving to a different pharmacy read more

The reviews are all correct. My doctor put a prescription in on Tuesday and I went in to get it Wednesday from this location on 5540 S 900 E and they told me they didn't have it ready and didn't receive it until just then. I updated my phone number so I would get a remind text when it was ready and Friday came without hearing anything. I still went in and they said it still wasn't ready but they could get it ready right then. It took 30 minutes but at least I got it. Not sure what's going on but they do not have it together and it's much safer going to a more reliable pharmacy. read more

I went to pick up prescription, and they are closed during normal business hours. I received a message that my prescription is ready. I go to pick it up and it's not there. Another 2 weeks goes by, again I get a call to pick up prescription, and again it's not there. I was not happy. I said it was a fucking joke. Oh no, they are offended. I changed my verbiage. You are incompetent! She said she would fill the order while I wait. In the meantime, I call the customer service at Walgreens corporate office. I am giving her the story when the non English speaking pharmacist struggling to speak English tells me to stop talking. I remind him about the US constitution. I am allowed to speak. He then tells me he will call the police. Ok, do it. He then tells me he will not fill the prescription. Legally, he is not the Dr. The medicine is covered and approved by the insurance. The medicine is approved for the diagnosis. He does not have the right to not fill it. He is playing with a patients health. It's sick and wrong. Don't go to a Walgreens pharmacy. The police come, they say Walgreens does not want my business. I'm fine with that. I already made the change, but the other pharmacy has records that the prescription was filled, so they won't fill it until the end of August. They are a dangerous company. Don't use them. read more

Pharmacy is closed early. I was told by a store associate that they were closed because nobody wanted to stay and work people quit or they were fired. So sad!! I needed medication that I can't go without very long. There were also elderly people there to get prescriptions. I know that this pharmacy has had very bad customer service as well as the one on 4500 S. 900 east that I left to try the other pharmacy on 5500 south just to get the same bad customer service. I don't know what's going on with Walgreens and either the way they treat their staff or the management in charge. Either way I guess I'm finding a new pharmacy now. Whoever is in charge of this pharmacy needs to do something. They could've at least sent out a notice to their customers or patients that are trying to pick up prescriptions. Walgreens is AWFUL! I'm DONE dealing with them because every month, I try to get my refill on my prescriptions, there are a problem: they said it's delayed (without a cause at all), or they don't fill my prescriptions, saying I don't have refills (while I have 6+). I have to provide my current refills on THEIR dumb app, but the workers still won't help me. Pretty standard drug store--a small grocery selection, personal hygiene aisles, pharmacy, and photo section make up the majority of this store. Nothing noteworthy about the cleanliness or customer service--I'd come here to pick up photos and prescriptions purely because it's a convenient location for me, not because I think it's worth a special trip. read more

Do not get a passport photo at this location! I wasted four months and my money. The picture taken was rejected by the department of state and when I tried to get a new picture at Walgreens they said they couldn't because it was over 30 days! Are you serious? Can't give any worse of a review of customer service. I waited an hour tonight, standing there after talking to the cashier. I wake up at 3, I work in the schools, I am tired . . The Rx that I was picking up had been called in from the ER and had sat there for 2 days . . . I was there to pick up another called in this morning . . 5 or 6 people came and waited and left. I walked up to see what the problem was, the female cashier with the longer dark hair and glasses never told them I was waiting. Walgreens as a store is a great place to go and buy stuff, is organized and clean, no complaints about it, but customer service is a must be trained, who is managing this store has to act and act quickly. We were today in order to make a Canvas, print a poster, or picture, one of the members was explaining us, what we could understand, that they had several orders pending, and could take two days in order to pick it up, my husband said to this member that online Walgreens offer same day pick up, suddenly Kirri (this is the name of the employee) show up and whit a very rude attitude turned out the monitor of her computer telling us that they are very busy and won't be able to do the job. She was rude and prepotent acting in front of us, her body language was very aggressive, I really don't know if she doesn't like her job. Pretty normal Walgreens here. This used to be a Riteaid a few weeks ago. This kind of threw me off at first, as the doctor sent the prescription here and it made it through successfully even though the doctor thought it was a rite aid. It's still pretty much being stalked and rearranged to be Walgreens standards. You will find very clean floors and very helpful employees though. I took my blood pressure while waiting for the medicine, I had very high blood pressure. There was no line for the pharmacy, so we were able to get her medicine within 20 minutes. I'll probably come back here because the pharmacy stays open later than most places, which is 10 p.m. on a Sunday. read more

Came here to pick up a generic OTC and was impressed that everyone who works here was wearing a mask. There is also a plastic stand to provide extra separation between you and the person doing check-out. The price was right for the generic I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I called earlier in the day, they informed me that you can do curbside pickup here for prescriptions (and I'm guessing they would probably do that for OTC drugs). Finally, I have to give love when I see a place handling the COVID-19 social distancing so well. I'd say the only reason this isn't a 5 star review is I have my beef with Walgreens (things just always seem overpriced) and this particular one does not have a drive thru (and it can be easy to miss from the road--look for the Big Lots!). read more

Ever since Walgreens took over this old Rite Aid location the service has been the WORST. It took 4 different trips for their pharmacy to get my script sorted out. They told me that everything was finally lined up with the script and I came back for a refill a month later and for some reason they didnt have my script ready even after their automated phone call saying it was ready. When I showed up to the pharmacy they told me that the pills were put back into the stock bottle. Now I am waiting here for the last 45 min waiting for them to fill my script.
