I purposely moved my prescriptions to these guys because I was tired of cvs, walgreens, Walmart, etc. They were great until TODAY. They are imposing a rule that you can only get 1 "controlled" medication per 4 "uncontrolled" medications. Ive been going there for years and have 4 total prescriptions, 2 controlled, 2 not. I would need prescriptions for 10 different medications (2 controlled, 8 not) to get them. Think about that. Also think about the fact that this was imposed by their "supplier". I called cvs after and even though they were out of one, they had no crazy 4-1 policy. In 1 swipe Jollley's did worse than cvs and walgreens combined. I will never go back and hope they go out of business. read more

I do not know what I would have done without Dean Jolley's expertise and his pharmacy this past year. I've had numerous medication challenges and changes this past year, and not only has he always taken the time to consult and explain aspects of the medications, he has gone above and beyond to track down my doctor and consult with him about my medications as well. He then offers straight forward and thorough facts and information. His vast pharmaceutical knowledge is continually evident as he has helped me navigate the changes. I always have lots of questions, and sometimes repeated concerns and he never seems to tire with making sure I'm resolved about my prescriptions before filling them. Also, when the drive-thru line is busy, Dean's right out there himself, taking care of the cars. Further, I've really enjoyed Jolley's in-house homemade hand sanitizer---an incredible value because of the brilliant dispenser bottle. It's hand-softening component makes it a best-kept secret (well, not anymore with this!) Beth is often managing the register, and she always has a smile or a witty observation. I am writing this review based on the experience of a friend of mine. Jolley's is a compounding pharmacy and one of only a handful in the Salt Lake Valley. Unfortunately on two occasions they failed to put the actual medicine into the compound (as discovered through routine blood test at the doctor's office). Mr. Jolley himself was confronted about this issue the first time it happened, verified for himself that the compound did not contain the proper amount of medication (verified through independent blood test he paid for), but completely failed to rectify the problem simply blaming his supplier and saying because it was the last of a batch maybe it was too old.... not even an offer for a refund let alone an apology for a life-threatening oversight. The second time this happened -- the following month -- it was enough to just leave them alone and go elsewhere even though the new pharmacy is 10 miles out of the way. Additionally, the new pharmacy charges half the amount and actually puts the medication in the compound. Update - A few have asked what the other pharmacy is that I refer to - it is Gibson's on 6200 South and just off of State St. read more

Incredible customer service. The owner took 20 minutes on the phone with me to answer all of my questions! This is my first time using a compounding pharmacy and a technician (Spencer) offered to stop by my home on his way home at the end of his work day on a Friday night to give an additional measuring device! She has helped me to get the correct combination of over-the-counter meds for relief from hay fever. She also took the time to discuss the ingredients in eye drops and which brand would be best for me to use, and I really appreciate it. I have been a customer for years and I am always treated kindly and respectfully, and all of my compounding prescriptions are exactly what my doctor has prescribed. I was traveling and forgot to pick up my prescriptions prior to leaving SLC. I was very concerned about going without them. Monique helped me to verify that my compounds had been filled correctly and was able to have them shipped to me in Denver. She was in contact with me throughout the day while she managed the delivery and careful packaged the items in discrete wrapping for safety. She really saved my cookies on this one! This was service that went above and beyond! I have complicated health issues and my compounds, in general, must be specifically issued. I am very grateful to Jolley's for their care and attention to detail. My health and quality of life are much improved as a result. read more

This is a sort of odd place, the kind of place that one wonders how and sometimes why it's still around...compounding here is really hit or miss. They roundly rejected the first attempt we made there to have something done, but the following time were one of the few who were able and it was ready and waiting when I went to retrieve it. Both times, service was friendly, with the last time we were at the hands of one of the nicest pharmacists it has ever been my pleasure to deal with. There is a decent selection of over-the-counter vitamins and pills and so on, snacks, but not a lot of drinks, oddly. About 1/3 of the store is given over to odd toys, cards and various random crafty things, somewhat inexplicably, in my view. I find almost all of that confusing as very little there seems to be of any use. Prices overall seemed reasonable comparatively, but all in all, this is sort of curious, mysterious place. I don't imagine I'll be in it again unless I have need; it's not the kind of place to really frequent otherwise. All in all, jury is still sort of out on this place and the rating is splitting the difference between the two visits. read more

I went into jolley's to buy syringes for my erectile dysfunction. They told me no. Because I didn't fill the prescription there. They completely discriminated me because I have long hair and I'm a plumber. I even offered to run home and get my erectile medicine to show them that it has to be injected. They still told me no. If I were a drug user (which I am not) jolley's is the type of pharmacy to turn those types away and force them to share needles and spread disease. I will never use this pharmacy again. And you shouldn't either. read more

I've been a customer at Jolley's for 20 years now. And these folks really came through for me a couple weeks ago. I had a child visiting from an out-of-state college who forgot his prescription medication. And it is not a common medication that they keep in stock. Hannah, one of Jolley's longtime technicians, went the extra mile, making several calls to my insurance company, the out-of-state pharmacy, and other local shops to locate the medication and get it to us within a day. read more

I've attempted to get prescriptions filled at this pharmacy a number of times. They never seem to have my RX or the correct amount. I even called in advance last time and they said it would be ordered for me. When I arrived on the time and date I was told, it still wasn't available and told to come back the next day. I should have called first, but I thought their word was good enough. Very frustrating. I think I'll find another pharmacy. read more

After lunching at Finn's, we three friends, thought it would be a good idea to buy grandchildren gifts at Jolley's. What a bad idea. When we walked in the store, there was a young guy behind the counter playing some animated game on the store computer. He did not look up. He didn't bother to greet us or ask us if he could help us. The gift department had many really nice items and we were eager to purchase some. However, we couldn't seem to get this employee's attention. They had some small Tibetan flags with letters on them. I was trying to find two more to spell my grand daughter's name. I asked the employee if he had more. He never even looked up. Just told me no. So then I asked, if he could call Jolley's other location to see if they had the two letters I wanted. "I don't know if they carry the same inventory," he said. "Maybe, you could ask them when you call," I suggested. He looked at me as though I had asked to detail my car. Obviously, calling the other location was not in his job description. He told me I could go the other Jolley's and look or come back in a week or so because there might be more of the flags then. My two friends, hastily put back the items they were going to purchase and we left. Of course, the employee didn't even say "see ya" or "have a nice day." He was back to his video game. Oh, there are lots of little signs around telling you not to shoplift and that you will be sitting in the back of a police car if you shoplift, etc. Very, clever and positive. As for positive, I'm sure none of us will ever go back there again. Better luck at the Art Garden gift shop, where grown ups make eye contact and have some interpersonal skills. read more

I went to pick up a Rx and the cashier guy had dirt under his fingernails! ICK! He had a LOT of dirt under his fingernails. If there is dirt we can see under his fingernails what other icky dirty things is he doing behind the counter??? You could get cold, flu or cudie germs from him tounching your meds. ICK! Be very careful when using this particular pharmacy! Make sure to check with your Dr. first, especially when getting recommendations from FIRSTMED in Murray, UT. My son was a new patient at FirstMed. They sent him several miles from 84107 to 84105, to Jolley's to get a very simple medication he could have received at any general pharmacy; then over charged us for the medicine, well above our co-pay! Thankfully after 4 calls, a very nice woman was able to give us a small discount on the medication. It wasn't their fault. FirstMed should have never sent us there! Beware! read more
