The pharmacy is horrible. My daughter had a double ear infection. Her prescription was sent in at 10:39AM. It is currently 7:46 and it is still "processing." I've called twice and they have had me wait on hold for 10-15 minutes before just hanging up completely. I also get birth control as a 3 month order. This is the second time my order has been "delayed due to no stock." Which throws the whole purpose of birth control. I don't understand how this is a reoccurring issue. read more

I've never had any issues. No pharmacy is perfect and I found this location to be as helpful as humanly possible.

The pharmacy is a mess. Sometimes it's just closed because they can't get a pharmacist to come in. My prescription said it was being reviewed by a pharmacist for a week and I called and they said they'd fill it. 2 days later and they haven't filled it and it disappeared from my account completely. SAVE YOURSELF THE BRAIN DAMAGE. The service is just horrible. Wait times are long. Every time I go to fill a prescription there is a problem. I have had to go without my medication due to their inability to fill my prescription. I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and this establishment has slowly digressed. I now dread going there. This past visit I was told 3 times to come back tomorrow we will fill it then. This place is the worst! Every time I get my prescription filled here there is a problem. Tonight when I called to see when my new prescription would be ready they first couldn't find it and once they did, I was told it would be ready in an hour. 1 1/2 hours later when I went to pick it up, the person at the register told me they didn't have any prescriptions for me. So I explained the phone call I had with the pharmacist 1 1/2 hours earlier so the guy went to talk to the pharmacist. This is when I heard the pharmacist apparently look at the prescription for the first time because he seemed surprised by the prescription and then told the register guy that he didn't have the medication at the store and therefore could not fill it and that I would have to come back at the end of the week! If this was the case then WHY tell me it would be ready in an hour??? So I drove over there for no reason! And this isn't the first time I have had problems - Once this order is filled, I will be transferring the refills over to a different pharmacy... read more

Well...they say that the definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing and expecting a different result". Why do I keep expecting the closest Walgreens to me to be more than just a convenience store? Shame on me. I wanted a flu shot. Last Friday, they told me that I can just come back this week..."No appointment needed" they emphasized. So, yesterday I leave work early to go get my flu shot and after I've finished waiting for the 5 customers in front of me, I get laughed at. Yes...laughed at. Not in a horrible way, but with a chuckle in her voice the person tells me "Oh...hahahah...we can't do that now. We are way too busy.". I just let it go. I wasn't going to get into the whole story about how the week prior I was told to just come back and I've now arranged my day around it. Instead I ask when I should come back. "Oh...tomorrow morning should be fine. Or any morning. We are just too busy now". I smile and leave. Today, and 9:40 I once again have the pleasure of waiting in line and had the privilege of hearing in great detail all about how the lady in front of me has insurance that the system isn't taking. Not sure why its so unimportant to the store that this private conversation has zero privacy. Oh! And as she's talking to the pharmacist, I say... "Ma'am....I know you're going to freak out, but..." as I point to the floor where a giant cockroach is circling her sandals. She freaks, and tries rolling the cart wheel over it but finally resorts to stepping on it with disgust... At a pharmacy. Anyway, I digress. Finally, after what seemed like ages, this lady is shood away because her insurance doesn't work...and I have my turn. At which point I am not told that they aren't doing vaccinations today since they are short staffed (despite the fact that a couple had just walked out of the vaccination room with a pharmacist in a mask and lab coat). Look at the other reviews. Better yet, CORPORATE WALGREENS IN MY HOME TOWN OF DEERFIELD PLEASE LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS! This location is a cash cow! Do it right, or shut down the shop. I'd rather drive an extra 15 minutes and be appreciated than to put up with all of the things that everyone reviewing this location has. Why is it a 15-20 minutes wait most often at the pharmacy? Why are there always between 6-10 people back there, yet only one (or two at the most) that might...accidentally...mistakingly MAKE EYE CONTACT with a patron? I KNOW Walgreens is better than this. Dropped off an Rx for my dog last night. Was told it might be ready last night or if not, it would be this morning, and signed up for text notifications. The latest he was supposed to start taking it was this morning. Never got a text saying it was done, no one answered phone. So I drove there and sat in the drive through and two different people came to the window. One to take my profile (why wasn't this done last night) and the second, an incredibly rude person, who told me I was in the way and should move my car out of the drive through. Soooo my Rx that should have been ready last night that nothing had been done with was not ready, and you're rude to me? Lol. Then I get home, and the second item I gave them a slip for wasn't in the stapled bag. So I call and I'm told that the second item is OTC. Why praytell did the woman last night not say this? Why didn't anyone say it today, or did they get a kick out of the fact they knew I'd have to return? So, now I have to leave my dog alone again to go get it. WAIT FOR HOURS! WASTE TIME! MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS! If you this sounds like fun, this is the place for you! Tried 3 times. No more. Each time I gave them a couple hours to fill the prescription only to be told to come back. Like sure. I literally have nothing to do but drive back and forth because you can't fill a script in a reasonable amount of time! Most places do it in less than an hour. Today, 8/24/21, I arrived 2 hours after Dr sent it in and they said at 6:20pm that it wouldn't be ready until 8:30 -9:00! Are you kidding me? So it takes over 4 hours to slide some pills into a bottle? Any other business would be out of business with such horrible service. But then again, they have kind of a monopoly in this area of Scottsdale. Monopolies make companies lazy because there is no competition and this Walgreens location is the worst. I am new to the area and found this Walgreens near my home and cannot tell you how happy I am with this store. They are fantastic and so helpful! I had my Covid vaccines there and they were awesome! The person who gave my second vaccine (Markus) was not only kind and professional, the shot didn't hurt. He knew what he was doing. Every Walgreens I've been to is incompetent to some extent, but this one is pretty unique in the level of incompetence. This pharmacy had my essential medicine late by almost a week, and when I called, they said this was fraudulently picked up by someone in another city. What actually happened was someone misinterpreted the data in their own system and it was sent to a processing facility. I have had an "auto refill" here for months that is late every month, lost in the mail, and otherwise not available to me, and requires me to stand in line every time to figure out what incompetent nonsense they're serving up this month. Currently waiting 30+ minutes for the paperwork for two vaccines I scheduled three weeks ago. I stood at the waiting area for like ten minutes waiting. Our family likes this Walgreens a lot and we're always stopping in during the week. One thing this Walgreens does have that the other nearby pharmacies do not is an on-site health-care professional called: "Take Care Clinic". Last year I needed some shots for an overseas trip and I was able to come here to get them. They also seem to do a good business with Flu and Shingle shots. The other positive is their drive-thru window which makes it so easy to pickup prescription when your doctor calls ahead. Nice! read more

Dealing with this Pharmacy or the 800 number for Walgreens is the WORST. I had no idea that they keep your debit/credit card on file. Well today is the day I realize that you SHOULD NOT trust them with those numbers. They have an express pay on the app and what's the point since they charge you again when picking up the medicine. Yes! Today they charged me again for medicine I paid for yesterday. Spent nearly an hour on the the phone, hold most of the time, to speak to 4, yes 4 different employees that did NOTHING for me. They all wanted to pass me to the next guy. Well now I'm gonna let the BBB take care of it. How is a company as large as Walgreens have 4 employees that do NOTHING????? Do better Walgreens. I thought they did a remodel...not really. New flooring and layout looks like it did 10 years ago. Their systems were down and we had to wait too long at the beauty counter to pay for medicine for my sick child. I'll do myself a favor and go to CVS next time. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my entire life and it should just be shut down by the health department for being a nasty disgusting filthy mess as well as so disorganized that nobody returned my calls or my doctors call. Furthermore I sat in line waiting for 2 hours while they took people coughing their Covid everywhere and processed nasty Covid tests while handing healthy people their medicine. This pharmacy used to be great but since they hired Sarah the pharmacist she is very unprofessional and is lacking in customer service skills and doesn't seem to know the policies and procedures. Walgreens Pharmacy is terrible. My son had been on an acne medication for 3 months. The first two months I assumed positive intent that I did something wrong in filling the prescription. I have good insurance and the Dr assured me everything was sent in and approved yet it took 3 visits each time to get WLlgrwens to fill it. This Month I triple checked with the dr and all good. However after 5 days Walgreens still can't figure out how to fill a simple acne medication for a United Heathcare insured patient. After calling 3 times and being disconnected twice the third attempt says the store is closed.it is 9:45 pm and it is open until 10:00 pm. Terrible customer service. We will be moving all prescriptions to other pharmacies going forward. read more
