The pharmacy gets 5 stars, and the rest of the store gets 2, for an average of 3-ish. I've filled several precriptions here and the pharmacy staff has always been pleasant and efficient. They knew my insurance card was a prescription card, as well (even though I wasn't sure myself). I get a text when my stuff is ready, and so far, it's been ready on time (fitting with their estimates). The store itself is just ok - very clean, slightly below average selection, with convenience store prices. The real problem is that I've had an extremely slow checkout person every time, and several times they've been so slow and inept that I've left without my purchase. It's really nice that they employ elderly people, but they need to be trained to handle purchases in a somewhat timely manner. Month after month, without fail, I have the worst retail experience of my life at the pharmacy. I was honestly thankful to see dozens of one star reviews because I couldn't figure out for the life of me why they were treating me the way they were - it's just how they treat everyone.... Terrible customer service - they absolutely refuse to answer questions and assume everyone understands the rules of the pharmacy at the level they do, and good luck getting acknowledgement from anyone. On top of it all, they absolutely refuse to do their jobs. Every single month, I call the pharmacy for a refill, they say they don't have it and to call the doctor, I TEXT the doctor (have all of these on file) who says Walgreens has refills, then I call Walgreens and give them the details upon which they magically find it. I have gotten texts from WAG and showed up and been told they don't have any scripts ready, just to stand there and argue for 5 minutes just for them to.... MAGICALLY FIND IT AGAIN... At the end of the day this is one of the most important service industries... if you want to worry about your health, or your scripts not getting filled, or to deal with the rudest people on earth, you'll love this Walgreens pharmacy but if you want to deal with regular pharmacists and have a stress free pharmacy experience I would recommend you go to literally any other pharmacy on earth. I think it's also important that I say everyone who works inside the store are the nicest people on earth - like previous reviews have mentioned, it's just the folks who work in the pharmacy who are the most careless, rude folks in all of healthcare or service. read more

Every time I see Katrina at the pharmacy, she is so ridiculously rude for no reason. Makes it seem like I'm an inconvenience for picking up my prescription and her having to do her job. 100% do not go here for Village Medical care. Based on the reviews over the past year, I had an extremely similar situation with their shady billing. I will not be returning to Village Medical even though I have not received my follow up appointment because I do not trust how they will code my billing. Although I know some thing is off with my hormones, I do not trust going to this particular location. They coded my diagnosis as mental health, even though it was a blood draw. I received a bill for $187 a month and a half ago and have been in phone tag with both sides of insurance. I called their location and they were not helpful. I've had to call their billing in Texas, and they have no idea what they're doing. In fact, their own company asked where LabCorp was located.... That's your third party billing.. you should know. I called over a month ago and asked them to re-code my diagnosis from mental health to blood panel so that my insurance could pay for it. I got a letter today saying I'm past due. My insurance hasn't seen any kind of review submission. I called Labcorp today and they said they did send it but to call back this Wednesday. It has been over a month. Labcorp should have done this already. I was on the phone with my Insurance and their billing for the past hour. My insurance told me to call back on Wednesday to see if there was a submission. If there isn't, then I have to call LabCorp for the third time. Oh the doctor I saw was Jenna Hilton. Now I feel like it's a whole scam and originally I liked her. Unfortunately that's been a trend of mine since moving to Arizona - liking the wrong people. This is currently still causing me so much stress. I hate dealing with financials and this blood panel should be covered under my insurance where mental health is not. Walgreens - Little annual check up that I'm like eight years behind in - Drugstores Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

I have been SO sick for the past week, I finally was able to get my hands on some antibiotics to kick my pneumonia I got AFTER having influenza A. I pay for my medicine and I reach back to grab my prescriptions and my debit card, but my debit card was placed on top of the prescriptions and to my surprise, disappears! It's gone. I look at the lady and I'm like "where's my debit card?", and she goes "I put it on top" I'm thinking that is a stupid choice but maybe it fell out of my car window since it was windy. I get out of my car to look on the ground with a line of cars behind mine, and she opens the prescription drawer right into my open car door (which wasn't open far, mind you). It hits my car HARD and then she goes "where is it". And I say I don't know, again, and she goes (sarcastically) "well, I put it on top". I pulled around and tore my car apart for 20 minutes while sick with pneumonia just to not leave with my debit card. I have never had an experience like this, and I have been on prescription medication since I came out of the womb. With that being said, I don't complain easily, but this is one where I need the store to know. UPDATE: they called me an hour later to tell me they had my debit card. Girl at front desk did not know how to communicate information to patients. She claimed I had to pay out of pocket for the office visit, although I had insurance that was covered there. The manager Nicole is a nasty little liar. She likes to accuse kids of stealing and then when you ask for proof she says "I don't have any". We used to go there for vaccines and prescriptions but I'll be immediately transferring all care from this Walgreens to one that isn't run by such a sad individual. Do not go to the Village Medical clinic I. This Walgreens. I'm a cash paying patient and paid in full for testing to later get a $30 bill for a test I already paid for. I also got a bill for a $6 behavioral evaluation, that isn't included I. The $150 office visit? $289 I paid in full and still received a $36 bill with no insurance involvement. Your prices are your prices, if the trifecta test is $139 why do I get an extra $30 bill in the mail? Shady shady business. read more

I called three days in a row the first day no answer the next day was a holiday then the next no answer now once I finally got through they supposedly can't get my medication because it's now expired. It expired today. If they would have answered the pharmacy phone the last few days ive called I would have been able to get my medication. I've been a long time customer at the Walgreens on Hayden and McDowell . But lately they have disappointed me in the drugstore Pharmacy they are slow Maybe understaffed . But lately I have been getting the wrong prescription refills and when I addressed it with the pharmacist it was blamed on me as if it was my fault I thought felt that this was definitely someone grabbing the wrong thing off the shelf and shoving it in a bag and handing it to me . The Walgreens loses a star and a pharmacy customer in me after my most recent experience. I have been going to this Walgreens for nearly a year and had positive experiences with the pharmacy, regardless of the consistently slow service. However, in the last two months, the customer service has completely diminished. Last month, I had an issue with a prescription discount card and the girl who helped me ended up working it out. This month, I refilled the same prescription and when I went to refill it, they claimed my discount card wouldn't go through. I ended up waiting there for an hour while the same girl who helped me last time tried to figure it out. After an hour wait and attitude from her the entire time, the girl finally found a solution and I was able to get the discount. However, while ringing me up, she informed me what she did regarding the discount last time in order for it to work out and told me that I need to remember this moving forward and if I had remembered it, it wouldn't have taken so long. I wasn't aware that the customer is responsible for remembering what the Walgreen's pharmacy staff does on their own commuters to make a prescription and discount card go through. I then asked if Walgreens has an area where they can write notes about perscriptions so they can remember certain issues and if they can make an admin note on their end to avoid these problems. The girl rudely informed me how many customers she has and how it's impossible to remember everyone's notes and Walgreen's does not have a way to right notes in a patient's file. After she got heated with me and I was leaving, she rudely said, "you have a Merry Christmas" in a way that meant the opposite. So after waiting for my prescription for an hour after coming back three days in a row to get it and then being treated like this, I think I will consider visiting another Walgreen's location for my pharmacy needs. read more

I worked with Kimberly Brandstetter, DO and it was an awful experience. I was at a different location and wanted to get a blood test done in which that location messed up. So Village Medical said the only way I could fix it would be to call Kimberly and asked her to fix the other doctors mistake and do the right tests. They charged me $116 for calling Kimberly to fix the other doctors mistake and when I explained the situation and asked them to fix it they did nothing. It took me weeks to get into contact with customer care and finally when I did they argued with me about it for hours. Eventually they said they would escalate it and contact me with more information. One month later they did not contact me at all and they sent the bill to collections. This place scammed me and two Village medical locations have given me a bad experience where I have lost over $100 of my hard earned money for their doctors incompetency. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for several years now and always felt like the pharmacists were overly grumpy. But then I got a heart condition 2.5 years ago and after spending lots of time at pharmacies I realize most pharmacists are like this as a general trend. Probably because they spend their day hearing from sick people, most of which who are likely paying way too much for meds. Nonetheless, my review isn't about this pharmacy's staff or attitudes because it's always been sub-par and I have accepted that. As I mentioned earlier, I have a heart condition and as such I am on a beta blocker which keeps my heart from beating too fast. Several days ago, I re-filled my prescription and noticed the pills had changed slightly in size, but because it's a generic pill I assumed it was some kind of change in the formula. Well, that was NOT the case. Immediately, I felt a difference and got really concerned as my blood pressure dropped more than usual. So, I went back to speak to a pharmacist about what changes may have taken place with the drug. As I was talking to the guy, Dave, who began to give me the typical "spiel" about how some manufacturers can change the drug on you - I took a closer look at the markings on the pill and pointed out that they didn't match what's on the bottle! He looked into it in the computer while I googled it on my phone and turns out they filled a 40 mg tab when I'm supposed to be on 20 mg. They gave me double the dosage!! Now, I understand it's people filling these things and humans can easily make errors, BUT THIS IS MY HEART we are talking about here!! My boyfriend was with me and proceeded to ask Dave for the name of the person that filled the prescription and Dave proceeded to say that he "doesn't have the info right at the moment, but he can find out because they have cameras showing who did the filling." He then gave us the manager's business card. I work in the software industry. I have a hard time believing that it isn't in the system for him to find out at a moment's notice, but nonetheless he pushed it off on finding out later and proceeded to take the bottle and fill it with the right dosage. This place just lost me as a customer/patient. read more

Good Lawd why dont they get rid of this pharmacy staff. The service is good only when the male pharmacist are working. One of the workers is the same rude pharmacist fron November 2016 that lied on me told the store manager to ban me Shannon btw she is just as rude, and knows close to anything about treating customers. Jeff the manager for Pharmacy is great. However these pharmacist are really just clueless they provide the worse service. Honestly teach a basic course on how to treat customers. It happened to me when n item I went to purchase wrang up incorrectly and I decided to go Bashas instead of going back to the aisle. I was about to have surgery, and my Dr. called in several prescriptions that were needed. I was told that one of them they did not have, and it would probably be in the next day. This went on for several days. I finally informed them that I needed a definite answer on whether my prescription would be in the next day or not since it was critical for my surgery and I could not wait any longer. The answer I receive was beyond rude and unprofessional. The next day my prescription did show up and I was informed that it was going to be $189 and that there was another brand that my insurance WOULD have paid for (but thanks to the delay caused by Walgreens this was now not an option!) As if that was not bad enough I then was told by Walgreen that they would not release the prescription to me until they got Dr. approval!! My response to that was that the Dr. was the one that called in the prescription so I did not understand why they would not release it until the Dr. approved it. Well they must have annoyed the Dr. as well when the Dr. called them to approve the release of the prescription because the Dr. called me and told me I needed to go pick it up elsewhere. I ended up having to drive over 100 miles (no exaggeration!) to pick it up and that place only charged $50 and even apologied for how much it cost! read more
