A Yelp search brought up Belleza Salon at the top with good reviews, so I booked an appointment. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the cut and color turned out fine. Not the best I've ever had, but perfectly okay. Then came the shock: $160! For comparison, I used to get my cut and color done in Arcadia, one of the nicer areas of Phoenix, and never paid more than $120, often for noticeably better results. I would have happily given 5 stars if the price matched the value, but $160 feels steep for a small town in southwest New Mexico. We moved here partly because the cost of living is lower than in Phoenix. Turns out that's true for most things, just not at Belleza Salon. 3 stars. Friendly staff, decent work, but priced well above what the experience delivers.

Had an increasing toothache - Dr Sherman has the most advanced diagnostic tools I have ever seen…read more Exceptional imaging machines made a tricky diagnosis a clear decision. Ended up needing two crowns. I expected to get a temporary crown and have to return in two weeks for a permanent crown - Not with Dr Sherman - the office has lab machinery in house that creates a custom crown in about 30 minutes. End result was two perfectly fitted crowns - from this single appointment. Pain gone! Truly modern dentistry, bravo! Dr Sherman and his staff (thanks Tim) where very caring and gentle. Everything was clearly explained as the procedure went along. I never felt like I was being talked down to, or treated as anything less than the most important patient of the day.

Writing this review for Walmart Auto Center in Silver City, NM. On 7/3/19 my Lincoln Navigator was…read moredue for an oil change. I checked in at opening time and the mechanic said that it would be done in about 25 minutes. I returned in the alotted time to find out that it could not be done, due to a cross threaded oil pan drain plug installed at my last oil change, at the same Walmart; done by a mechanic that is no longer employed there. The mechanic, on 7/3/19, said he would not remove it unless a department manager was present, and the manager was gone that particular day. Due to a family emergency, the manager was gone for several days. I returned on 7/9/19 and told the mechanic, that I had been talking to, that I really needed to get my oil changed. Yet again, he told me that the manager was still not there, and needed to be present because of the drain plug issue. There was another mechanic, named Antonio, that was listening to conversation. He stepped up and said that he would do the oil change himself, because he knew that I had returned several times. He stated that he would do it without a manager present. I am giving two thumbs up to Antonio for stepping up and resolving the situation. I know that his years of experience is why he had no problem removing the drain plug and making a decision for a quick plug replacement. Thank you again Antonio for your great service!
