    Prescribed nasal spray,
    Robert H.

This Walgreens store at 1551 Richmond Ave is the worst, the pharmacy manager was supposed to check my order that was delivered to me from FedEx. This happens to be the first time I did delivery service, I am a just disabled person and it's hard for me to get around. I got 1 out of my 2 prescriptions the nasal spray that I paid for was missing, I did not receive it at all. On Saturday, March 13th I called the store and was told the pharmacy manager would call me on Monday after she reviewed the tapes. At first it made me feel like I stole something but after thinking about that I'm fine, I am sure it happens to them all the time. I informed the young lady on Saturday please make sure she calls me on Monday so I can come and pick up my nasal spray that I paid $18 and change, my insurance paid for the rest. It is a prescription I just can't go buy it somewhere else and I've been dealing with this pharmacy for a long time. Monday I'm waiting for the phone call from the manager of the pharmacy to tell me to come and pick up my prescription the nasal spray. I get no phone call at all on Monday, Tuesday morning (today) I called the store again after being on hold for 30 minutes again the girl gets on the phone and tells me that the manager will review it today and get back to me on Wednesday. I'm out of the prescription nasal spray, this is absolutely ridiculous now I am out of my medication. I told the young lady on the phone to tell the pharmacist manager that I'm calling corporate customer service. I called customer service and I was on hold for 32 minutes no one ever picked up after hearing the recording every five seconds telling me how sorry they are instead of hiring more people to take care of upset customers. Obviously Walgreens has enough business and doesn't need anymore. I am now transferring all my prescriptions over to CVS which by the way Walgreen made a ton of money on my prescriptions every month. I do not blame the young ladies that answered the phone they were just relaying a message, however I do blame the pharmacy manager and corporate customer service. All they keep saying on the phone is that they are sorry. You know what, I'm tired of hearing that you're sorry try picking answering the phone call. I don't understand what happened, Walgreen's was the place to go for a great customer service now they are the WORST. Also instead of saying you're sorry try hiring more people I hear there's plenty of opportunities in the job market why don't you help out Wallgreen's instead of stealing my money. I would like the district manager for this location to call me or someone from corporate because I'm not going to sit on the phone like an idiot.

This place is not as bad as the other reviews. I will 5 star it and update if I change my mind. Lol. Was easy to fill and quick to pick up prescriptions from pharmacy here. Unlike cvs where its always a hustle.

The stuffs I usually get at Walgreen

Everyone who works here is very nice but they are chronically understaffed, and if I can get out in 30 minutes, it's a good day.

The phone service is an absolute joke. You get put on hold for 20-30 minutes just to ask a simple question, and then they come back with an attitude like YOU bothered THEM. The pharmacist acts overwhelmed and disorganized constantly, also a rude dick. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be, nobody communicates with each other, and every visit turns into unnecessary stress. What happened to professionalism? This is a pharmacy, not a high school hangout spot. The staff acts annoyed anytime someone asks a question, and the customer service is honestly embarrassing. I've had better experiences at busy chain pharmacies than this so-called "friendly neighborhood pharmacy." Honestly, I'm switching to CVS. It's closer, faster, and at least when employees have attitudes there, management actually steps in and fixes it. Here, the bad attitudes are apparently encouraged because nobody does anything about it. And CVS calls you to tell them they have your medications and then call you when they're ready. Here, you have call them. You wonder why you're losing business? This is exactly why. The ownership changes constantly, employees don't care, and the whole place feels poorly managed. I give this place maybe 3 more years before it either gets sold again or shuts down completely. You'd think they'd read these and take them into account and learn from them, but NO! they think they're doing you a favor. We're right, you're wrong. What do you expect on Staten Island? This is why mom and pop businesses are going under and everyone would rather shop online just not to hear people's attitudes. Keep having this mindset. They're also only kind to you if they know you personally, if they don't know you they don't care. I get a mild low dose benzo, but because this is Staten Island, junkies galore!, they just lump everybody into the same category. As long as your bottle has the orange label on it, you're going to be treated just the same as anyone who picks up Oxycontin. I especially don't have to tell them what my medical diagnosis is. I wasn't aware they were my physician. I could go on and on and on. One last thing: imagine dreading having to call this place because the nasty heifer that answers the phone, only a cashier btw, always asks you what you're looking for while smacking her gum. Rude much? I'm looking for your mother, whatever the doctor sent, you got my name, you see the prescriptions, why are you asking me. A joke. She isn't the owner, the pharmacist, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who has complained about her, yet, she's still there. This place will never do better, so don't waste your time. It's a shame. I support small businesses, but unfortunately, a lot of small businesses, especially on Staten Island, don't care. I guess because they're just miserable and arrogant to begin with and feel as if they got it like that and they're entitled to be a jerkoff because they're having a bad day. Imagine if we all did that because they're the only one'sallowed to have a bad day. I've worked in retail, personal stays personal, and most of all, the customer is always right. Do better. but you're not going to. Go to CVS, Walgreens, don't go through nonsense and get upset by these people just to get a medication.
