We came here to pick up some essentials for the home. The drugstore has a big and ample parking lot. The store is a bit crowded with narrow aisles than other Walgreens. It doesn't help that some of those aisles are filled with crates waiting to be unpacked. The pharmacy section tends to have people but there is always only one cashier in front and the line gets long all the time. If you have an idea of what you need and it's not on sale, this is a decent location but if you would need help or if its on sale, I would suggest going to another Walgreens. read more

Is it really possible to have an issue with Walgreens? I mean it's not the best Walgreens on Hylan Boulevard but it serves its purpose - gets you basically what you need. The Walgreens further down on Hylan, near Seaview has the better selection. The family owned pharmacy across the street has been prescription drug prices. But this one is fine. Good location. Great staff. It's a nice place. read more

They are pretty accommodating with government programs. If you find that stores are low on something in general, try looking for it here (if it's the sort of thing they carry). read more

Your usual local Walgreens. Location is great - right between Chase and Met Foods. Store is small and often does not have advertised items. Still nice to run in and out if you need something in a hurry. read more

pharmacy is pretty useless, more talking amongst themselves behind the counter than helping waiting customers.

*effin* Walgreens. You go there when you absolutely have to, otherwise avoid it like the plague. They try (they really do) but you know deep down they don't care. My strife is their new service - you can now drop off your FedEx packages at this location. In a crunch for time, I gave it a try as this location was a lot closer than my usual drop off spot (the FedEx Ship Center on Hylan by Buel). I dropped off a package in the morning that is for NEXT DAY delivery. The manager scans the package and asks for my email so I can get the status alerts. I asked what time does FedEx pick up the packages for express delivery, she says between 5p-6p. I see her put my package with the other FedEx packages on the ground behind the registers. Next day comes, the status of my package does not change - it has not reached the destination. I called FedEx to inquire, nothing. That's odd. So I went back to Walgreens to see if the package even got picked up. Lo and behold... my package was sitting behind the register to prop up a heater for the cashier! {Insert your favorite expletive.} It's been sitting there for two days because my package missed the original pickup time AND the pickup the next day. The kid working there apologized and said "the package will be picked up tomorrow." I told him, my package needed to be delivered today. I took my package back and went to the official FedEx Ship Center on Richmond Terrace so I don't lose another day. Lesson learned. Walgreens+FedEx = 0 stars read more

This location has terrible Pharmacy Customer Service. It's unfortunate because they used to be very good. But the Pharmacy staff that is there now is not helpful, rude, and treat Customers with attitude. When I arrived yesterday, I was advised that they had not yet received the electronic script from the Provider. So I called the Doctor's office three times, and each time they advised that they resent it (as well as faxed it). Instead of being helpful, the Pharmacy Employee handed me the Pharmacy's business card, indicating I should call AGAIN to make sure they are sending it to the correct Pharmacy. Finally, one of the ladies offered to call the Doctor's office herself. She did and I waited. I was not kept informed of the status of the call and when I asked if everything was OK I was told only that they got through. One hour later, one of the females announced over the loudspeaker that my prescription was ready (even though I was standing right in front of the pick up window). While paying, I asked what the issue was with the e-script so that we can know for future purposes and the young man advised that he doesn't know and I would have to ask one of the other ladies. One would think they would come to me and give SOME kind of explanation. Overall, this experience left a very bad taste and impression for me and I will no longer be using this Walgreens Pharmacy. At a minimum, it's expected that the staff be a little more caring, sympathetic, and just overall helpful. Instead, I felt as if I was asking the staff for a favor by filling my infant's prescription. In a nutshell, the current Pharmacy Staff at this Walgreens location is not helpful, rude, and perhaps needs training on how to treat customers in a caring and helpful manner. read more

how in the hell do you run out of out of drugs. on Monday 11/16/20 they email to fill my prescription, on sat. 11/21/20 did sent it in was told to pick it up sun 11/22/20 at 12:00pm on sun they email me they ran out of my medicine, don't they know what they have in stock so they can order it so they don't run out,who running that place its the worst. I never have that trouble with CVS. read more

Pharmacists are busy, but always willing to help solve insurance issues and work with medication discount cards and coupons. Really good customer service! read more

Staff is super friendly and helpful.. The deals are really good too. Also, the store always looks pretty clean and organized, unlike the other walgreens in Tompkins. read more
