W This review is specifically for the pharmacy. Long story short another walgreen pharmacy didn't fill a prescription fully. So due to their original mistake my fiancé had been contacting this Walgreens pharmacy (our home pharmacy) to remedy the solution. He was reassured that they would make it right and was promised the medication today and promised call backs to provide him with updates throughout the day. He ended up having 8 calls to the pharmacy throughout the day to get updates and ensure he would get his critical medication today. We ended up just showing up at the pharmacy at 730pm when they had ensured that the prescription would be ready by the time they closed, 2 hours prior. Not only was the prescription, not ready, but they refused to give my fiancé an emergency dose of the medication to get him through till the next day. We emphasized that this medication is for a life-threatening condition. All we got as a response, from the desk lady while the pharmacist gawked at us from afar, was that the manager would be available in the morning and that it was 8pm and we cannot help you, sorry as they closed the door on us. It is extremely disheartening that some people don't have some more humanity and compassion. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS AT ANY WALGREENS!!! They will tell you your prescriber has denied your renewal request when in fact they never contacted your dr. Your dr will approve a renewal and 36 hours later they tell you they are still waiting to hear from dr. Their app DOES NOT communicate with the pharmacy for anything. They will tell you the pharmacist is reviewing your medication for 3 days straight. I no longer wonder why their pharmacists don't show up to work, causing a complete shutdown of the pharmacy. When my dr prescribed covid medicines they couldn't get any but never notified me or my dr, so I did not receive that medication until 2 weeks later. Total incompetence. Do yourself a favor and go to a real pharmacy for your prescription medications!!! read more

Awful pharmacy experience. They showed openings so I booked and drove a long distance as I need the vaccinations for work. I came in and they "meant to call to cancel." Professionalism and courtesy are greatly lacking. The woman at the counter even laughed saying "you need to reschedule." Go elsewhere for all vaccination needs! Though if they are this bad with appointments- can they handle things like prescriptions? Doubtful. I am more mad at myself for not reading other Yelp reviews. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the store overall is fine. The pharmacy is RUDE. They openly make fun of and complain about customers after they leave, but everyone in line can hear them. I stood at the window waiting to be helped while multiple staff who were not doing anything made eye contact with me but did not acknowledge I needed assistance. Then when I was finally asked if I was being helped two other staff members rolled their eyes...as if I was the problem. The pharmacist was unavailable because she had "stepped out" even though they closed for lunch in 15 minutes. When she returned rushed through answering my questions and figuring out what to do about a med shortage impacting my medications. I have limited options when it comes to pharmacies so I am stuck with Walgreens. But I will be picking a different location. read more

Hello, I stopped by this Walgreens today on my way home from work and spent an excruciatingly long amount of time attempting to print photos from my iPhone at the little kiosk in the photos area. USUALLY this takes maybe 20 minutes, and I shop around and buy a bunch of dumb crap i don't need but on this particular occasion i was met with complete and utter incompetency on every level. As soon as I walked in I felt my journey would be a rollercoaster. And hey, I get it. I work in customer service too, sometimes it chaos. But the people inside this establishment were a wild bunch for the middle of the afternoon and not in a nice way!! My first attempt to use the kiosk the media device connector was not working, after trying 12 times to start over I realized the toggles must not work. Interesting, because you sell them right behind the kiosk!!! During this time, people are yelling across the store, romping around. I scan the room for anyone resembling a Walgreens employee, but I cannot tell what is even unfolding in the store let alone who was in charge. Finally a woman in a rush walks by and tries to enter a closet and I ask if she could please help and she looks astonished that I would stop her. She disappears. I move to the second kiosk (yay) and the media device works (yay yay) and i am finally accessing my photos. Here's the thing!! It would not load more than my most recent 10 pictures. I then spent 10 minutes trying to load more pictures, work with the system, yell for help, panic, and watch as kids were destroying the snack isle. It was chaotic. Anyways, another woman walks by and I beg her to help me and she does not have any idea what is going on. With the kiosk or the store. She told me to keep trying and when I told her I'd already spend over half an hour she said to LOG ONLINE AND SEND THEM FROM WALGREENS.COM TO THE STORE. What a waste of time. Don't waste your time with this Walgreens. Go to another pharmacy. This pharmacy is the worst. I only came to this Walgreens because a family member had her prescription sent to this pharmacy when she visited the ER. She got an automated voicemail saying her prescription was ready, so after work, I drove my happy ass to this Walgreens (which is out of my way). When I got to the counter, I told the pharmacy tech that was assisting me that I was there to pick up a prescription for a family member, she asked me for all of my family member's information, I gave it to her, then she tells me that the prescription cannot be filled until they talk to my family member's doctor......................LET ME REMIND YOU THAT SHE GOT A VOICEMAIL SAYING HER PRESCRIPTION WAS READY. Oh, it's not over. I walked away took a 15 minute drive home and when I got home, I'm that 15 minute period, she said she got an automated call from the pharmacy saying that her prescription is ready. WTF???!!! I have a super painful throat infection. (Pharyngitis) I never got a call when my medication was done but it was okay i didn't mind that, but i went 45 minutes after i was told it would be done just in case it wasn't done yet. However once i got there i waited for an hour and when i finally went up to ask how much longer it had already been done who knows for how long (mind i was literally sitting in the seats in the pharmacy) Also when i was paying the phone number i had provided earlier was completely wrong on there which makes sense as to why they didn't call, but the whole thing was butchered. The manager Roberto started scheduling me different hours and I told him I couldn't do it because I was developing sleep paralysis with hallucinations which is horrifying... He yelled "did I say you were going to stay on nights" I finally got the meeting I wanted with him to discuss the sleep paralysis with hallucinations and for him to please stop and things he could do to help my disability... He quickly turned it into his meeting mocked my excuses for why I couldn't do things because of my disabilities in a weird voice... He complains that I came in moping around in my pocket I had a doctors note for the day before and that day but I was still at work of course I was moping around I had a severe upper respiratory infection... I told him I called HR when I was in the office and he immediately said well we're cutting your hours... Pretty much like the rest of 'em, but with a few things that really stood out: 1. This location is not 24 hour. 2. You can tell you're in a borderlined sketchy part of town (or worse?), because the cashiers make you leave your backpack and anything else you're carrying at the front of the store upon entering. This is the only Walgreens location in the world I've ever had to do this at. Nope, it wasn't even a requirement in Downtown Reno or Detroit... 3. The cashier on duty who was telling everyone in line about how she was proud to have a non-addictive personality didn't really float my boat, particularly the part about how "Yah, I used to shoot up with my boyfriend and stopped once I left him..." Who cares, dopey lady? 4. No trash cans outside anywhere on the premises. On the up side, I caught an awesome deal on a new pair of flip flops. Location is extremely sketchy and scary. My wife and kids were in the car for 10 minutes while I was inside and during that time a man was begging for money at the car window. After being turned away a few minutes later another man came up from behind the vehicle (a mini van), and starting stabbing the back tire with a knife. My wife screamed and the man walked off calmly. Mind you this was on a Friday in the middle of the day, broad daylight with other shoppers/people around. The pharmacist refused to refill my asthma medication for no reason at all. I order the refill over the phone and when i went to pick it the pharmacist literally said she closed my account and will not serve me. When i asked why she just stayed quiet and again said she closed my account and will not serve me. I have no idea why but i need my medication, they obviously dont care about ones life. I will now have to call my dr next week (mind you today is friday 8pm) and will have to wait for my life saving medication over the weekend for literally NO REASON! read more

My experience with the pharmacist has been ridiculously unprofessional. Last week I actually switched pharmacies because of the same lady that hung up on me while I was asking a question. After I pick up the snacks prescription I can assure you I will never pick up from this Walgreens again. I'll because of one girl. I take a trip tomorrow my flight is at 11. This was once a great pharmacy, but for whatever reason, they have become absolutely despicable as of late. I have filled one medication (the same one, same dose, identical every month) for several years. This has always been from the same doctor, simply a refill that can be called in. This isn't some pain medication or anything of the like- just a routine medication. However, the pharmacist has begun to go overboard with some elements of her "job" that aren't only unnecessary, they have prevented me from obtaining a long-term medication for weeks at a time on multiple occasions now. It's become an issue anytime a refill is needed. This time, they lost the information, so my doctor called and spoke with her personally. Oddly enough, they lost the info yet again- In under 24 hours. I would highly suggest avoiding this pharmacy at all costs. Sad, too, because when I began going there, I complimented them on how easy it was to handle everything; how friendly they were, etc. Now, well, I'll be spending quite some time off a long term medication-- my doctor had taken time to personally resolve the issue by providing the pharmacist with the info she needed in order for me to obtain the medication before traveling for the holidays. Surprisingly (or not, actually), I go to get the refill and I'm told that nothing exists in the system. Way to go Walgreens... My doctor has everything documented and went out of her way to send the info twice, making for three times (counting the original paper Rx I dropped off over five weeks prior to this). Too bad you can't do your job because you're so terribly unhappy. Believe me-- it shows. I hope whatever has made you miserable enough to completely disregard the health and well-being of your paying customers is resolved soon. If not, you seriously owe it to those who depend on you to either take some time off to handle your own distress, get a job at a pharmacy where you aren't so distressed, or just retire already- it's very clear that you are far from happy, and it's beginning to affect the health of patients. Nobody deserves to feel as terrible as you clearly do- not even you. "Walgreen's- at the corner of Happy, and Healthy!"- or whatever their corporate jingle-- This one is an exception to rule, I suppose. Having a Pharmacy instore carries certain responsibilities. You have people who are perhaps not in their best state traveling through the store to pick up meds. The likelihood of a customer needing assistance is much greater, yet not one employee seemed to care? Ask yourselves Walgreens on 88 th - How many times have you used that loudspeaker as a weapon instead of a tool? Do you understand what you are saying over the loudspeaker, and the positive effects it can have when used correctly; Negative effects when used incorrectly.. ????? Here's an approach.. train employees how to care , get to know on a comfortable level the GUEST that come into your location . Reminder - Lower Income DOES NOT mean Lower Class... no balance; no case of opposites attract.... this store deserves a ZERO .. A young lady named Reese always greets me with a smile and a "hi!". She makes shopping here a pleasure. Never had to order from the pharmacy. Very convienant location and they have a Chase ATM which saves me a 2 mile drive. It's accurate when people say it's a sketchy neighborhood and yes they do have a problem with panhandlers. The staff has always responded when I reported them though. There is a large garbage can at the very entrance. Thank you Reese for your bright happy personality and your professionalism. read more
