I liked the idea that the soaps made by Heaven & Earth are made from all-natural ingredients with none of that harsh chemical crap you find in industrial soaps that dry the skin right out. A friend of mine from high school started this business making all-natural vegan soaps. I thought it was very cool and decided to order one of each currently available variety of soap (see pictures): the Luxury Lavender Vanilla, the Island Coconut Lime, and the Sweet Lemon Sugar. (As of now, there is no brick-and-mortar shop; orders are placed exclusively online.) As I pulled at the packing tape, already I could smell good smells wafting up from the cardboard. I started to get excited. Each soap was wrapped individually in 100% recycled paper and affixed on one side of each bar was the Heaven & Earth logo and on the other was a sticker detailing all the ingredients in that particular bar -- for someone who likes to know exactly what is touching her skin, this was a very nice touch! Without getting too detailed about my shower scene (sorry boys), I'll just say that I loved the soap I decided to try first (Island Coconut Lime). I was worried that the soaps wouldn't lather up very well (I hate that) but those worries were unfounded. The soap smells great and feels great on your skin. All in all, I highly recommend the Heaven & Earth soaps for anyone with sensitive skin, allergies, or anyone who is into chemical-free all-natural products. I can't wait to try the lip balm when it comes out!
