Long phone wait times. Never have inventory needed and do not automatically fill remaining partial orders. Awful customer service.

I went to get two photos of my daughter's wedding today. I spent an hour adding in the pictures fixing them and getting them to the way I wanted, I walked around the store for an hour until they got ready. The young lady behind the photo booth came looking for me and told me that I was unable to get those pictures in large because they were copyright. I explained to her that the pictures not copyright and that I own the right to the pictures as I purchased them and took them from my phone. She then said to me that they were not and they were I explained to her again that they were not copyright and they were my photos. I then proceed to say to her that she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, but I would go to another Walgreens and had them done there. as I proceeded to walk out the gentleman behind the counter who talks to himself really said to me that I have no idea what I'm talking about , the lady behind the Photo Booth knows what she's talking about when no one was even talking to him was rude to me. I'm totally with allowing people with disabilities to work in organizations, however to be rude to customers it's completely unacceptable. Make a long story short. I went to another Walgreens where I always get my pictures done and they completely agree that my pictures are not copyright and they should've been able to be Walgreens on is a complete disgrace each time I go there everyone has an attitude and there's no whatsoever. They really need to re-organize. read more

Worst pharmacy and customer service in Ocean County, NJ. They tell me they need 4 hours to fill 30 pills in a bottle. After an hour they gave me wrong medicine becaus e they ran out of my meds and never told me. Place is a joke. Every thing evil about Walgreens you will find here. Understaffed and over booked. Called for an appointment for vaccination. Was told to call the 800#. Did that. After being On hold for 16 minutes I was told I had to call the store directly. Called the store 4 times and was constantly on hold and disconnected (4 times). Went on line and booked an appointment. Went to the pharmacy 10 minutes before the appointment was scheduled. This review is for all of the Walgreens pharmacy locations I've dealt with (NJ) and their policy on telling costumers if they have a medication in stock. I've been trying to find my prescription that has been on backorder at most pharmacies for about 3 months now so I've been calling just about every pharmacy in my area trying to find it. When I called Walgreens, I was told that I can't be given that information over the phone and would need to bring in the actual prescription. (JUST TO TELL ME IF THEY HAVE IT IN STOCK?!) Anyone that gets prescriptions nowadays know that most MD's electronically send your Rx to your pharmacy. So for me to have to bring Walgreens the actual written Rx, I would have do all of the things listed below just so they can tell me if they have the medication or not! First, I'd need to call the pharmacy my MD initially sent the Rx to so they can cancel the Rx from their system, call my MD to see when I can pick them up, drive to my MD's office (an hour away from me) to get the written Rx's, then drive all over just to see if any Walgreens have the medication!! That has to be one of the WORST pharmacy policies I've ever heard of! There's absolutely no need to add more frustration to the costumers that are simply trying to find their medicine and looking for a simple answer, which would take all of 5mins. instead of wasting what could turn into over a days wait. After a couple more calls to other pharmacies, I was finally able to find my medicine and now they have a happy, new costumer. read more

As I'm walking in, another guy was walking out and said out loud "I don't know why I bother coming here." An hour and a half later, I began to wonder the same thing. I understand pharmacies are understaffed and I'm not expecting my prescriptions to be served like fast food, but the drive-through appears to get all the attention while the people in the store just wait. A lot of the technicians are just standing around chatting with each other. Anyone who dares to ask how much longer it's going to be is quickly shot down and told to go wait. read more

Has to be the worst customer service and I have never dealt with such incompetent staff in the pharmacy. They show no caring for patients, they are abrupt on the phone and have no respect for the elderly. If you feel this way and work there then you should consider working in a different industry because if you are that miserable working please don't care for people that are sick. Arrived at 7, 15 minutes ahead of time as instructed fora flu and covid booster. One person ahead was inquiring on a booster. 7:20 they take her as a walk in and handed paperwork to fill out. They take my card. Not the paperwork. I wait. Another appointment was asked to wait. Expecting to be called upon next... nope. The next appointment was and. I waited. Waited another 5 minutes. I'm finally done with this pharmacy!! The wait time is outrageous, my prescriptions are very rarely ready when they are supposed to be and I still kept going there. Today was the last straw, they close at 6pm, I was in the drive through at 5:45 behind the car being helped. I got up to the window at 5:52 and they turned the closed sign over and shut the shade in my face!!! Well I thought making an appointment for a second Covid shot mattered. My husband and I had an 830 appointment and by 9 o'clock were asking how much longer it would be. We were the only people sitting in the waiting area no one was even there to pick up prescriptions. The girl at the window told me it could be another half hour. When I questioned her about us having an 830 appointment she said appointments don't matter. I stated that there was not one other person waiting and her response was the girl who gives the shots has other things to do. By 910 my husband and I requested our vaccine cards back and left. When we 1st moved to Lakewood, neighbors told us if we wanted a good pharmacy avoid Walgreens on Church Street. We have been their customer for 5 years, hoping to see improvements. Unfortunately pharmacy and on the floor service has declined. To pick up a prescription you must allow 15-30 minute wait in line before reaching the counter. Never can you find an employee to assist you in the main part of thee store. I must add, the front counter cashier is always pleasant, Courteous and helpful. We have recently changed pharmacies. My issue is with the pharmacy department. When they don't have my entire prescription order available they give me a few, but never call me to let me know when the rest of my prescription is in. I have to keep calling, get a robot, then wait for a person to answer and the line disconnects. It happens so often, that is why I'm complaining about it. read more

This is the nicest drugstore makeup and shampoo etc products I have seen all around as far as drug store makeup! I love going there! The pharmacy I don't use- I find them to be kind- helpful- I can spend HOURS browsing and it also has a large section for phone accessories! I absolutely hate this Walgreens I hate that it is the closest drug store to where I live. The employees are constantly rude and when there is a line of 10 people you see managers and employees all among the store just talking and not helping. Also the tags are never updated to what the weekly ad says nothing ever matches. This store needs better management and a better customer experience. read more

The Walgreens recently changed from 24 hour to closing, the pharmacy used to be open 24 hours now closes early. The store is alright but the pharmacy is the slooooowesssstttt and nothing can ever be done quickly or efficiently either by phone, in person, or at the drive thru. Wonderful staff!!! The pharmacy is usually very busy but the staff does everything they can to help you quickly and efficiently! RX manager is great! You can get a wide range of immunizations from seasonal flu to specific travel vaccines. This is a compounding pharmacy so you are able to get all those crazy mixtures your doctor may prescribe. I went to Walgreens in church Rd Toms River 5am to get rx. My insurance did not authorize till after 6am when I left said Horizon computers down. Teresa pharmacist took excellent exceptional care trying to get it cleared called twice and sent me home with a few meds then called me at 7am they finally gave authorization. I was in pain and exhausted and she went out of her way for me. I hope management acknowledges her professional experience with customers read more

I have been using the services from this pharmacy for more than one year now. I have never been impressed with their service and efficiency. It is a very busy pharmacy and it gives the impression that they cannot keep up with their clients. Picking up prescriptions can take a long time, in one occasion I waited 20 minutes after filling out the paperwork for a vaccine, just to be informed that the last shot of my vaccine was mysteriously half full and I had to wait one week. At the drive thru you are never sure if they know you are there if no "pharmacist" is at the window, this service is probably the most disappointing, the customer service is not good, they are never kind, caring or even interested in satisfying the minimal expectations; my own experience is waiting 10 minutes staring at the window wondering if they know I am there, just to find out that they do not have my prescription. If you are picking up medication you might not be feeling your best, and a little efficiency and caring would help. I have complained to the manager and I got an apology with an I don't care face, that's why I decided to use this resource. read more
