Good Lord. It is impossible to reach this store's pharmacy by telephone. I tried FOUR times this morning and each time was directed to a "customer care survey" after which I was disconnected. There are many phone prompts before you reach a person who asks questions and then sends you to the survey. It is time consuming and worthless. You can complete certain actions online like ordering refills, but you cannot speak to a pharmacist apparently. This system is broken. Shame. read more

Impossible to get them on the phone even after you go through a bunch of mandatory phone prompts that do not include any options that you would actually need to phone in for, you could easily do on the web or in their app. And guess what? I know if it's an emergency I should be calling 911, not calling a pharmacy. I've spent up to half an hour on hold before giving up, they don't even have an option to call you back. The place is VERY difficult to get in and out of, I guess probably marginally better than the one on East Main St., which I avoid anyway. Really wish they hadn't bought out RiteAid, they were much more responsive and convenient. read more

Please, please... Just turn right to get in and out of this Walgreens. Please stop slowing down the rest of society to turn left. Other then that, the Walgreens itself is okay. I've found a few expired items, but they returned them quickly and apologized. Their seasonal display can vary in size, if you're looking for something specific it's not a bad place to try due to it's size. brought my puppy in because I had to return a package and he had an accident like all puppies do i asked for some paper towels to clean up his mess lady was rushing me to take my package while another one came through the isle across saying "they better not leave that paper towel on the ground we don't play that" felt very disrespected and seemed very unwelcome will be sticking to CVS from now on. read more

Very rude and inconsiderate. I asked for my son's prescription (blood pressure), it was 6:40 and it was supposed to be ready for 5:00, they close at 7:00 wasn't ready and not going to be ready until 1:00 tomorrow. I said he's already not had it for a few days, the response from the woman (that wasn't waiting on me was, "there's people that have been without for a week or longer!" Guess what I'm not there for anyone else. It's not the customers fault that you don't have enough help to keep up! After this my son will take his business to Walmart Pharmacy where they treat their customers with respect! This is not the first issue with this Walgreens pharmacy on East Elm Street in Torrington he has had! Moving on! If I could give zero stars, I would've! read more

The pharmacy has gone downhill (for me) it's slow and half of my meds aren't there or are out of stock and it takes them forever and a day to get my meds filled and refilled and forget about calling to talk to someone you'll be waiting 10+ minutes. read more

If you call the pharmacy a half hour before closing and you are on hold, they will disconnect your call. I got tired of waiting forever to get through to them that I changed my medicare health insurance from United Healthcare to Aetna. United Healthcare has a deal with Walgreens and if you go to another pharmacy you have to pay full price for your meds. I just called Aetna and switched over the their Medicare plan. Now I can leave this terrible place called Walgreens and go to Walmart or CVS for my meds. What a relief. Hey, Walgreens, what about hiring more staff to help your customers? See ya! read more

If you need Covid testing, go anywhere else! Got there 20 min b4 appt time to sit in drive- thru line for 1hr 30 min. Got to the window, swabbed, waited 15 min for the testing machine to process b4 my husband got tested. Drove away with info that they would let us know by email in 4-6 hrs. I received my results quickly. The next day my husband still hadn't heard. I called & was told computer was down & they'd call me back. They never called. At hr 25 my husband called & was told that the machine malfunctioned & he could come back after 5. He asked why they didn't call or email him to let him know... couldn't answer. Are there no procedures in place? Terrible customer service, very disappointing. He went to CVS by McDs a month or so ago, for a Covid test, took 10 min & was notified with results quickly. Sorry Walgreens, you dropped the ball.... be accountable. read more

Had to make the move from Rite Aid to Walgreens. Right from the start I could tell that this switch was not going to be great. There was trouble with the transfers, excuses, more troubles, excuses, etc. I gave them chance after chance and was finally fed up when my HSA card would not work and they didn't know why (it worked every where else) and I had to pay for 7 pills at a time from my checking account (VERY expensive RX). When I got home and counted the pills there were only 6! A pharmacist that can't count to 7? Really?! When I finally moved to CVS (wonderful service, BTW) they told me there was a generic for my RX which saved me $200! Run, don't walk away from this pharmacy! read more

The Cashier who sits cashing people out seriously pissed me off. I have a big family and grab snacks to last for a whole month and fill up my deep freezer with freezer pops and ice cream. This witch sat there and critized us how wrong we were talking about diabetes then took a picture of our items that we were buying to send to her son and tell him this is what diabetes all wrapped up in one package. I found it disgusting for her to act this way and to embarrass us like that I will never ever go back. read more

I came in to this store applyingg for a job. When going in there, the manager kindly told me that they werent hiring, however I could still complete the assessment. Afterwards, I waited for my friend to check out. In the distance I could hear the employee stocking the floor and the cashier discussing and making fun of me and my application for that store. While doing this they were ignoring my friend at the register and paying attention to the TAKE OUT they hist ordered. Seriously? While on the clock and a customer waiting? Not knowing, these two women were talking about me infront of the person I was with. They then glare at us when she meets up with me realizing we were together. The same day I had to return because I left my wallet at the store. When I came back in they snarled at me and glared. Weren't very helpful. Truely UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND AN INVASION OF PRIVACY. Truely taking my business elsewhere in addition to my job application. If a store is run like that, and treat customers as such, I do not need to be working or supporting their business. read more

absolute last time i ever shop or patronize this shoddy 06790 elm street store of so-called walgreens on elm street in t-town 06790. this store is a sleazy place, customers are a joke this is a total scam & scandal. this "elm street walgreens store" does filthy business. i have been overcharged & double & triple charged at this walgreens by every single cashier & manager in store for items i did not purchase 13 out of the last 14 times i have been there in past 17 days. these bums are hacks, slackers, scammers and rip-off artists. as soon as i would get ready to leave the store & cashiers or managers were nervously bagging up my purchases, three or four people waiting in cars or standing around outside would bustle in & line up extremely close behind me (and others). all were texting on their phones to eachother. their purchase would be set on counter next to mine. cashier would finish ringing up my purchases. then could no longer look me in eye & start babbling & fumbling bagging. as i paid, she or he would start ringing up next customer. outside of store i would double check my purse & packages & receipt. sometimes it was only overcharge or doublecharge for 1-2 items i did not purchase, totalling less than $5.00. tonight is was $40.00 overcharge which i had paid to cashier in cash. cashier ran off as soon as i returned to store. mystery manager who was literally sitting right behind me, on the floor @ 2nd register w/ another employee, male, bald & obese, during my transaction tonight w/ first cashier, only refunded me $15.99 for one item (did not even refund the tax!!!!), said she had no idea about overcharged, said to come back in morning & talk to day manager, "dan." buyers & t-town beware. check & doublecheck your receipts. count & double count your change. boooooo!!!!!! read more

Walk in at 9:55 to grab some allergen you medicine with my friend. And there are 4 ladies two sitting down on the counter and one says "we're closing in 3 minutes" we said we're just grabbing some allergy medicine and we will be right there. And she yells well you better hurry we close at 10 in 2 minutes. So we rush to get out of there and at the register a mother lady said it's 10:01 and we just want to get out of here. And proceeds to tell us come back just make sure it's not this late next time.!!! Um no ladies you should learn some customer service skills! read more
