I lived in a Walker and Paul managed property for the last two years. The customer service has been extraordinary. Denise always did what it took to make sure my family and I were safe and comfortable in the property. Sadly, the owner decided to sell or I would still be there for at least a few more years. Denise helped me then too, let me know with plenty of time before my lease expired that I wouldn't be able to renew and offered to help me find something else or discuss purchasing the property with the owner. My family and I have been renting the apartment where we're at for 16 years, before they became our landlords we had an awesome landlord who was always there when we had a problem, we never and I repeat NEVER missed a month of rent all of a sudden when they came in somehow we were behind 2-3 months of rent. We wouldn't be living there if that was true, we would've been evicted! They're so quick to come and check to see if we're keeping the apartment complex clean, lord forgive they see a minor thing because they're so quick to send letters wanting an immediate response or "give up the apartment" yet, if we call them to come and fix something they LAG! My bedroom window has been broken for almost two months and they have done nothing, called them and left a very upsetting message, they called back asking for a timeline, a damn TIMELINE?!! I don't recommend renting from or working with this company. Had I seen these reviews ahead of time I would have rented elsewhere. It took almost a month of going back & forth to get approved. They asked for things I've never been asked for before. Mind you, I have good credit, excellent rental history and no criminal background. I also make more then enough money. The house is nice but very out dated. The cabinets in the kitchen are so old and gross you can't even clean them anymore. Denise is rude and condescending and was disrespectful to me in front of the owner of the house. They tried to charge me for things I shouldn't be charged for and now upon moving out they are finding ways not to return my security deposit. I am filing a complaint with the BBB, which I see they have multiple complaints already and I am reporting them to the DRE of CA. My attorney has been contacted as well. P.S. Total nightmare living here really considering other options as soon as my lease ends. Studios are outdated you can literally hear through the walls which is why I always have music or my tv on and neighbors are super nosey. Had to get on here to have my VOICE HEARD they will charge you 75$ every time they ASSUME you violated your lease. For example i was charged for changing my locks when i had already let the manager know and we arranged for me to give him a key. They will at any chance they get give you a 3 day notice to respond or quit without even contacting you through phone or email. I feel like i am being targeted and harassed for being young and successful enough to afford my own place. Take into consideration everyone living there has failed because by the time i am that old i plan on having a big ass house lol. Anyways this company doesn't care about there tenants or the conditions in the units they rent. They are quick to come into your unit whenever they want but when you make a request for service they don't take it seriously. I was excited on getting my own place at first but now this had turned into a learning experience for me. I don't know how much more of this i can handle I don't do anything to anyone I literally mind my own business which is why i feel attacked. Walker and Paul has been a professional property management company. We rented our house for quite some time and we've never had an issue. Any time we had something breakdown (which was always something minimal), I'd submit my online request and they would contact me in less than 24 hours and have a repair person over to fix the problem right away. One time we had an emergency and it was the weekend, I called the after hours number and I had a repair man at the house right away. When we moved out, Veronica was very thorough and helpful. She answered all my questions (I called her a lot) lol, and was happy to help and explained everything in detail making our move out easy. read more

Whenever we have had any issues regarding our apartment, other tenants or the community they have not hesitated to fix or assist with such issues. With the new technology they have has made it very easy to pay rent and there's always a property manager you can talk to 24/7. read more

I have been renting here for two years. I love my place and like the 24 hr service line. I've had to call on weekends and on a holiday before and they were awesome about getting back to me quickly and getting service sent out. I do not recommend renting from this company. Veronica is extremely rude and doesn't follow up with applicants. I have worked in property management for over 5 years and can tell she is not up to date with fair housing laws that or she just doesn't abide by them, Hence the warning on her website that states not to bother submitting an application if you have a history of not paying your bills. (You can't deter anyone by law to apply for a rental) I had to constantly call for updates and information on my application or she probably would have neglected it entirely. After submitting all the documents she needed I was turned down only because she is lazy and didn't follow up with my husbands employer for employment verification even though we submitted recent paystubs. Veronica is unprofessional, she lacks customer service and when we were speaking on the phone she laughed and was snarky at my concerns. I feel I wasn't treated fairly and will be submitting a fair housing complaint. Renters beware of this kind of property management company! read more

Lived in one of the property for almost two years. The management don't care about you as long as they get their profit. When I moved out, I only got $70 out of my $1100deposit. They did not do inspection when they scheduled they will and now ended up with surprises. Things they charged me without necessity to do it. They can't be trust. Renting from Walker and Paul was exceeded my expectations. This is a legit review from a real person. We own are our own home in Texas and I hope that our property manager is managing our property like they do. I asked to see the rental and ALL of my MANY questions were answered. I was kept in the loop of the status of my application and even was contacted when things were held up because of things on my end to give me a chance to speed up the process. Their customer service is awesome. They were very personable and shared my joy with getting a new home. I would definitely recommend them to others. I have seen other reviews and was a bit skeptical. I even talked to my husband about it and was having second thoughts but my experience with them was amazing. I now understand that when it comes to reviews you have to not put too much weight on them because some people get out of the bed pissed off, lol. Honestly great people to work with.
