Absolute worst service experience I have ever received. I have worked in the car business for 4 years and if I ever spoke to or treated anyone with the service we received it would be a quick cause for termination. After lying to my fiancé multiple times about what was going on with our vehicle after having it for almost a week I tried to speak with them. Mind you I made 15 calls throughout the week since the vehicle is also in my name. I never once received a call back until today when I was told they would not tell me anything they did to my vehicle and I needed to come get it off their lot. The service manager was exceptionally rude and disrespectful toward my mother in law when she tried to inquire about the cost of what they were saying needed to be replaced. We got our vehicle towed to another shop and they have been such a delight after dealing with a week long nightmare with Walker Chevrolet. If I could give them a worse review I would. I do not understand how they can possibly maintain a customer basis when they treat people they don't know terribly. read more

In 2013, I purchase a Camaro ZL1 from Walker Chevrolet. During the time I owned the vehicle, the vehicle had numerous quality issues. In fact, it was the worst ownership experience that I have ever had! I live about 1 hour South of the dealership and at one point I called Walker to get an appointment and a rental while the ZL1 was in their shop. They refused to provide a rental and WOULD NOT even schedule a service appointment. These are the facts. Obviously, this is not the the service they implied I would recieve if I needed them - on the day I purchased this $60,000 sports car. Why talk about this three year later? Absolutely useless staff, First they forced me to take the finance from their allied finance organisation, secondly they forcibly included all kinds for service and warranty contracts which i never wanted to take. Their Service department is much worser,Scheduling a service maintenance is really horrible experience, first i walked in to the service station and was turned down citing the reason that it has be pre-scheduled and second time when i tried to schedule , they turned it down again saying slots are not available until next 7 days I would rather walk down to firestone or any other nearby oil change station and get my service done at much lesser price and time. i dont understand what for i am paying the premium for the service contract . They are just concerned with pushing their inventory out of the door, once that is done, they will show their true colors. they missed my complimentary floor mats and they never bothered to provide me one . I came in with an appointment to have a recall checked about. The phones and internet were down and so Walker's system couldn't verify what the recall was and no one had made any note in the appointment log. I had to drive an hour to get to the dealership so to ensure that the correct problem was being fixed I asked the person 'helping me' (Jennifer) to call another dealer just to verify that was a problem (I offered the use of my cell phone). She told me no that we should proceed with this fix. She was very condescending and rude. Aside for the attitude of the attendant the procedure took over an hour and all that was done was to put a plastic insert into my key. After this experience I wish I didn't own a chevy; 1) because of the quality of people that establishment employees and 2) because chevy had me come in so they could put a insert into the keys of a 15 year old car. read more

I should have gone with my gut feelings, and the words of my wife, to wait on the purchase of my 2018 Camero ZL1 from Walker Chevrolet in Cool Springs. From the first contact after driving it home I sensed a lack of urgency from the dealership to complete their promises and agreements upon making the deal. On Saturday June 8, 2019 I went to Walker Chevrolet in Cool Springs to view the 2018 Camero ZL1 they had on their lot. The car was in my price range and I negotiated with them on the trade of my 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Prior to going to the dealership I had discussed the purchase of this car with my bank. I was approved to finance this vehicle with my bank at a significantly lower rate than I knew I would be given at the dealerships. When I purchased the car that Saturday I agreed to do a loan through Suntrust so I could drive the car home that day. But I was clear that I would be transferring the loan to my bank the following week so that I could take advantage of the lower rate that they offered. I have made 3 visits to my bank since this purchase with no luck of getting this transferred. My banker was very frustrated with the dealership and while I was in his office we waited on responses that the dealership failed to return. As of 07/02/2019 Suntrust states they still haven't received and processed the sale from Walker. And after additional attempts to contact the dealership they stated there was nothing they could do. On my last visit on Friday, June 21st, Suntrust stated that they could not transfer the loan to my bank due to them not receiving the title from Walker Chevrolet. But somehow I've already received my first statement from Suntrust on this loan in the mail. While discussing the purchase of the Camero, I noted that there was a cap missing from under the hood that I would want to be replaced. They also stated that the previous owner had the second key and they would get that key for me. After a few calls about this and them responding to be patient and call them back in a week. I finally received a text from the salesman on June 24th stating that he now has the cap, but that if I wanted the additional key I would need to pay an additional $183 plus tax. I have yet to hear back from the salesman regarding the additional key. I made a very expensive purchase with Walker Chevrolet, and I am very disappointed in the service and treatment I have received since the initial purchase of my car. Just for anyone out there considering to do a trade in - I was offered $13,750 for my 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (with off road package). On Friday June 14th I noticed the truck was posted on their website for sale at $36,020. Needless to say, I felt that they could have made me a better offer on that vehicle and still made a substantial amount above blue book value. I did keep the truck in excellent condition. I have been looking for a truck for some time. I saw a used F150 with low miles on their website. The salesman, Tommy Moore, was not personable. He seemed to have interpreted me as a "tire kicker" and seemed very disinterested in making a sale. Little did he know that I had cash in my pocket and was intending to buy the truck that day. When I returned to the dealership after a test drive, I noticed the truck had an audible "diesel" sound (5.4 gas engine). Knowing Fords, I felt this to be the dreaded camshaft phasers - a very expensive fix (about $2000). I brought this up to Tommy and his reply was "it's a good truck, runs out good," with a shrug. I wanted a second opinion on my diagnosis, so I didn't purchase immediately. I went to my (Ford certified) mechanic the next day and described the sound. He immediately confirmed my suspicion by agreeing it was most likely the phasers failing. I contacted Tommy (even though I was reluctant to do so, due to his attitude from the day before) and told him that I had confirmed with my mechanic about the "diesel" issue. His reply was "we spent money on the truck. It's priced right." No, Tommy, no it wasn't. They are going to sell this truck to someone who doesn't know Fords and stick them with a $2,000 repair. I will not now or ever again shop at Walker. Don't walk, run from this "dealership". read more

I went in to buy three trucks from Walker. I liked Chevy trucks over the other brands. When I walked in I was greeted by no one. I waited for about five minutes before someone came over and asked if I needed help. I was waiting at the front area where you wait to get help. The salesman didn't act very interested in getting the sale. I tried asking him a lot of questions and he just didn't seem interested. He told me he would be back in a few minutes with numbers on the trucks I was interested in. After twenty minutes of waiting at his desk I just left. I would avoid Walker if you care about service or your time at all. I see the other reviews kind of say the same. Also look at the reviews not recommended there are another seventy one stars. Since my car was from Chicago and parking outside for 9 years, Chris knew I probably had some corrosion issues as it related to some issue with the car. This place has terrible customer service. We brought our Silverado in for a factory recall and not only were they slow in repair (3 days and counting), they had zero communication. I just had to call repeatedly for any info. When I did speak with service department they were very sassy and offered no helpful information for when they might get done and offered no loaner vehicle. In Dec we bought a 2012 Buick Enclave that we absolutely loved. We were looking specifically for an Enclave. We bought it with cash and paid it in full at the time of purchase. There was no deal, they wouldn't come down off the sticker price at all. "They even said, we post that price to get you in the door" when we asked if they would take less than what they advertised it on......of course over the phone they said yes come in and see us I am sure we can work something out.....but different story when we were there. We purchased the vehicle anyway because we were told that their own mechanics inspected the vehicle thoroughly and promised that everything is in tip top shape! We have had the vehicle for barely 3 months and it needs $1445 worth of work to fix bad plugs, catalytic converter, and shock sensors. We were also told that the motor mounts are worn and will need to be replaced soon! We put everything we had into getting this vehicle and this company refuses to do ANYTHING about it at all! Pretty much told my husband that we stuck with what I bought! I hate doing bad reviews.......but not sure what else can be done. I do know that this company will NOT get our business ever again! When my son relocated to TN in 2019 we took his chevy cruze to get serviced several times and the staff seemed very competent and the car was always serviced promptly or we were told it would take xx amount of time and they were always on the money by 10 or 15 min. Fast forward to 2022... A complete and utter breakdown in communication between parts and service consistently. A tire was ordered and paid for a week and a half in advance . My son had a blow out and we were told they needed a couple days to order tire but due to the holiday weekend (memorial day) they did not have an appointment for a week and a half to mount the tire. We waited, my son brings in the car and waits a half an hour for someone to then come out and tell him they don't have the tire!. I spoke to the manager who says they will get it by tomorrow and made an appt for him to bring it in again. Guess what?? No tire (second time). I called and the Manager went in the back and calls me back after a few minutes to tell me the tire is there and they will mount. At that same time I ordered a passenger side mirror. Paid in full , part needed to come in and get painted. No one called after three weeks we called and we were told it was in but they had no appointment for at least 2 additional weeks. We made appointment two weeks out and I called the day before to be told that it was not painted yet. Made another appointment 2.5 weeks out from that appointment. Called last night and was told everything was in shop and to come. We waited 3 hours until someone came out and told us that the mechanical part, and the outside of the mirror was there but not the actual mirror!! They are going to another shop to get it.. I called to speak to the Manager Chris and he was very receptive about listening to the situation. He said he will try to find out what is going on and call me back but this has taken hours out of my day, due to piss poor management and communication. I don' think we will use this chevy dealer again! read more

Bought a brand new truck, had 1 major issue within the first month and two other minor ones. Took it in, they said it would be repaired in 1 day, they called two days later and said it would be another day, then they texted and said they need it over the weekend and I would get it Monday AM. I get a text at 3 PM saying it's ready. I go to pick it up and drive off the lot and within 1 hour the major issue occurs again. I call it in and they say that it was a new tech and to bring it back. The next day the other two issues happen again and I call them and tell them I need a loaner and they say they don't have one. So, I tell them to tell me when there is a loaner so I can leave it for enough time to get it fixed. Then, the next day the truck shuts off in a busy intersection. I have to drive 5 miles down the road in first gear just to get it from shutting off. It has now been three days and I have text and asked for the truck so I can use it over the weekend and nothing. In future, be cautious about making commitments to your customers about timing as we schedule our days around what we told. read more

Since I was going down S Carothers, I saw that they pulled into Walker Chevrolet. So, I decided to call Walker Chevrolet and I got put on hold and cut off several times. I Purchased a used car here in November 2018. After having the car for a week I noticed the head rests on the backseat were missing. I contacted the dealership they said no problem we will find them. After two weeks and no follow up I called again this time they told me they ordered a set and they would arrive in two weeks. Three weeks later no follow up. Still no headrests. Then a week later still no headrests and no follow up. Then I was told they would arrive on the following Saturday. No follow up. I followed up on Monday. No follow up again. On Wednesday I was told that they mailed them to my home on Monday. On Friday afternoon still no head rests and no follow up from the dealer. I ask for a tracking number for the package. No follow up. I called back on Monday no follow up. I called back on Tuesday and they assured me that a new set of been overnighted. They told me to go to the brand dealership for the car I Purchased that they had them. We went there and they had one head rest. The original package still has not arrived at my home. I asked for the tracking number and there was no follow up. I assume at this point there is not another package, And this was an attempt to further delay the process in hopes I would give up. I called the manager and now 36 hours later no follow up. I have been incredibly patient and now I believe I have been taking advantage of and I've been lied to multiple times. This is a critical safety feature of the car, we will not give up. I totally trusted the sales person until the package did not arrive and then when I became angry and impatient finally I was told they are being overnighted from the manufacture and and that I can deal with the car manufacture and I was given a phone number and a contact and told they were done, it was out of their hands. that's when I went to the other dealership and received one but not two head rests. What a mess - - they could've given me a credit and I could've ordered the head rest myself and this would've been resolved over a month ago but now they have an unhappy customer and a bad review. I'm not sure who was dishonest along the way but I found it even more crazy that the general manager will not return my phone call since I decided to escalate the problem after almost 2 months. I was pAtient and trusting for two months. They finally offered me a loaner but I would have to drive 30 miles each way to pick it up and return home. But the manager won't call me I guess he's not interested in the dishonesty or breakdown in communication that has happened at his dealership. So much for a family owned business...don't fall for it. If you have a problem there's lots of good talk and great promises from the sales person but ultimately no follow up and no sense of responsibility. I was really OK until the general manager decided not to call me back... i'm thinking he still won't call. read more

I was greeted by a service advisor that must have just started. Never introduced himself... I was in for my first oil change on a Corvette ZO6... I was asked in a rather pissy tone "do you have an appointment or it will be at least 2 hours?" I said no and that's fine. I complained of a creak coming from the passengers side and he said" we only have oil changers on Saturdays you'll have to bring it back" I was like wow ... This guy is the most unfriendly person I've ever met and must hate his job..... 2 hours later car was done unwashed and ready to go. It was pretty expensive for one and had I not asked about a coupon I would have paid more than I did. My tires were rotated and I had done a nice job of trying to keep them clean. They were dirty from all the hands touching the tires and no one wiped them down. After I left the dealership and drove for about 30 minutes I received a error code about my TPS so I had to return to the dealership later that day so they could resolve the issue. We walked around the majority of the lot without being greeted before having to physically go inside the dealership. Once inside, we again were not greeted by anyone. I even made eye contact with one of the sales men who was too caught up in his personal conversation with another employee to ask if we'd been helped. Finally, after about 5-7 minutes of standing there, someone came over to greet us. Thankfully, he was helpful but we ultimately ended up leaving the dealership. So I'll have to find another day that I might be able to get off from work to take my brand new car in to be fixed AGAIN. The actual buying experience was great but I honestly feel like since I signed the papers the customer service has been non-existent. I will never be purchasing another Chevy or any vehicle from them. On 6/29/17 I posted the above to their Facebook account. Peter reached out to me to contact him. After I sent him a long detailed message about the issues with my car and the very poor customer service, he responded with a short message stating that he had passed along the info to his GM and they would be back in contact shortly. Walker Chevrolet trashed my truck. I brought my 2016 Silverado in for routine fluids and maintenance and a warranty job on a defective XM antenna. They completed the work quickly and called me the next day to come pick it up. When they pulled my truck into the bay, the headliner and visors were stained with an insane amount of black grease from the technicians hands, and was damaged at the sunroof. I told my service writer that this was unacceptable, and they ordered a replacement headliner. The replacement took two weeks to arrive, and upon removing my windshield to install it, they broke the windshield. My truck sat in their shop for another two weeks without a windshield, collecting dust and filth throughout the interior and dash. After the replacement windshield and headliner were finally installed after nearly a month in their shop, I still received my truck with stains on the headliner. These new stains were from the dirty hands of technicians who still refused to wear clean gloves in the interior of my truck. Additionally, every trim panel that was removed to replace my headliner was reinstalled with the original clips. They are now loose and rattle as I drive down the road. I can see where they carelessly pried and bent these trim pieces as they hastily repaired my headliner that they damaged in the first place. They also bent the paddles on my trailer brake controller during this install. I put a ton of business (thousands in maintenance) through their shop, and they still treat my truck without any care at all. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! read more

The salesperson I dealt with didn't appear to know how to deal with someone who had done their homework ahead of time and knew exactly what they were going to pay for the vehicle they wanted. After it was all said and done I bought the vehicle at the price I wanted. Where Walker really shines is in its service department. David Beasley and his team have been nothing short of amazing, going that extra mile to ensure that the vehicle that my wife drove was safe and had its scheduled maintenance performed in a time manner. Email reminders, phone calls to follow-up or provide updates, David and his team always made sure we knew what was going on whenever our car was serviced. Had a good experience the first weekend I came in, discussing possible buyout options for my lease soon expiring. I decided to go a different way and not purchase, and the following weekend I came back to turn the car in. The obvious first question asked was if we were going to be purchasing something new, which we were not. They informed us we'd have to wait for a business manager to handle this, and stood in the showroom for over an hour until we were assisted. They informed us Saturday's were busy, but I don't think it was so busy that it warranted an hour or more wait. There was clearly no urgency once they realized I wouldn't be signing on the line for a new one. read more

Thankfully I did not purchase my vehicle here but I came to Walker Chevrolet for an first oil change and they needed to do an update due to my radio would come on but no sound and no back up camera. I talked to Greg on the phone and told him my problem who was very nice. But then on the day of my appt I dealt with TJ who I then had to explain the entire situation again. Which I would have thought there would have been notes in the system. I was told it would take 3 hours to work on my car which I was fine with and had the courtesy driver bring me back to work. TJ was supposed to call me when my car was done and I never received a call. The courtesy driver advised his last pick up was at 4:30 and I was so busy at work I almost totally forgot that they never called. I called at 4:21 to be told that my car was done. Who knows if they would have called in time for me to catch the shuttle. I picked up my car and I received no explanation from service on what was done or how my car looks under the hood. I used to have a Honda and had exceptional service with their service dept. They would greet their customers before they even got out of the car, and at the end of the appt gave you a sheet that listed all components of the vehicle and would mark a check mark in a red, yellow or green box to let you know what is good or getting ready to go bad like an air filter. Even though this dealer is close to work, I will not be back to this service dept. read more

First off- they were super great to me in the service department UNTIL I left a good review on their website. Then it all started to go downhill. We started having problems when our 2002 Chevrolet Malibu started overheating. We put more coolant into the surge tank, it filled up fine, but the next day it overheated and the surge tank was empty. Suspecting a leak, I took it to the Walker Chevrolet Service Center because they were so helpful when I was trying to get my vehicle to pass emissions just a month prior. They fit me into their busy schedule, which was really great of them to do, and did a pressure test. Almost an hour later, they came back to tell me they found no leaks; however, the whole cooling system was "gunky" (they described it like the film in a fish tank that hasn't been cleaned) and they believed it had never been taken care of in the life of the vehicle. They offered to flush it- twice to be certain- to get the gunk out, then the would refill it and pressure test again to make sure they didn't miss anything. The quote they gave me was a few dollars less than what the total came to, so I was unimpressed with that part. I was also unimpressed with $300 to flush my system, that seemed excessive. But I paid and they gave me back my car and said I was all good, no leaks were found. FOUR days later, the car started SMOKING while my husband was driving home from work and suddenly went from fine to overheating. We took it back to Walker Chevrolet the next day to try to figure out what was going on. I had an appointment, and even arrived for that appointment a little early, but it still took over three hours to figure out what was wrong. They updated me once during that time- the first time, they said it was going to take several hours and offered to shuttle me home...until they noticed (apparently for the first time since coming in??) that I had a toddler and they said they couldn't move my car seat over to get me home and we'd both just have to wait. The only other time they talked to me was to tell me what the problem was. THREE gaskets were suddenly leaking and the car needed $1200+ in work to take care of. I asked how that could happen since we just took our car in less than a week ago and there were no leaks. TJ talked around the problem- saying the "gunk" from before was "masking" the problem (though they cleaned out the "gunk" and tested again, according to them, so shouldn't they have found it?) then saying that the problem was driving it around when it was in bad condition (they had told me less than a week prior that the cooling system was fine, so I had no reason NOT to drive it, I trusted their assessment). When I expressed that they might be responsible- at least for not actually solving the problem the first time and telling me it was fine to drive which made the problem worse- he just kept talking around these points. Then he suggested that if I didn't have $1200 to fix it, that it might be good for a trade in. I said I had to talk to my husband, and they offered to get my car seat to their shuttle car and get me home. I'd already had to WALK with my toddler to a Walgreens to get lunchables to eat in their waiting area AND they had woken my toddler from taking her afternoon nap on a chair in the waiting area. I only did these things because they said they COULDN'T take me home before. So they shuttle me home and my husband and I decided to trade in the car...but somewhere else. We didn't trust Walker Chevrolet with our car any longer. When I went back to pick up the car, they brought it around for me and said they'd had to jump start it. They tried to tell me the battery needed additional testing and there might be more wrong with it and they needed to keep it longer, but I told them to give me the keys to my car and let me leave. They kind of laughed at me and shrugged their shoulders like "good luck." They went from helpful to condescending practically overnight. Until we could trade in the car at a different dealership, we had to jump start the car every time we started it because the car would overheat if we drove it long enough to get the battery charged back up. The battery should not have been bad, it was only a year old!! They killed my battery in the one night they had it and tried to use that as an excuse to keep my car there. I suspect they wanted to do that so they could give me pennies for my car in trade in value and get me to buy a car at their location. I got a Toyota and am more than happy with my decision. My husband and I have sworn off Chevrolet for all future car purchases, just in case we'd ever need to bring it to Walker Chevrolet for any reason. (They also never gave me the opportunity to review this visit on their website. Once they get a good review, the service goes downhill fast. this is one of those dealerships that will say anything to steal your money. They lied to me and said i would have an easy transaction because my credit is so strong....Manager and salesman lied the finance man lied and i walked out..this place is a menace to society. I called ahead for service and was told it would take them about three hours maximum. I scheduled an appointment for when they had someone available to work on it. Five hours later they just gave me the car back and had never even looked at it. Totally wasted my time day and gas with this sorry dealership. read more

Truck wouldn't start. Had it towed in. Quoted $490 for the work. Got there and my total was $761. Figured I would have more for the tow. It was actually $590 before the tow. They also charged me the $59 diagnostic fee on top instead of putting it toward the repairs like they said. They used a refurbished starter and charged me $434!!!!!!!!!!! Very shady and misleading. Would not stand behind work they did less than 12 months ago. Gave me a quote and then added on another problem they caused while working on the car and wanted over $100 more than quoted. The problem mysteriously disappeared when I refused to pay for it. I have given them WAY too many chances! They don't know what they are doing and I won't go back again...I really felt swindled and duped! read more
