I had to postpone from the original date, as the drywall installation wasn't complete. In spite of the additional time (7 data) they said the carpet was back ordered and would not even ship to the wholesaler for 2 more weeks. They asked that I go to their wholesaler and choose a new carpet. The only carpet that was similar and in stock was a much lesser quality and the warranty was 7 years instead of 25 years. However, they wanted to charge me the same amount as the original carpet order. I canceled the agreement and requested a refund. They've not refunded my deposit ($2500) in spite of several requests. I've filed a dispute with American Express. Ironically, I'm having the same carpet from the wholesaler installed by another company, removal, carpet and pad for $1600 less than RENEW FLOORING was charging me. I would have given them the business. Brian, who was the representative contractor working at the company, and may even be the owner, could not have been more disorganized and disrespectful in his interactions. Anybody who behaves like this from what appears to be a successful company, doesn't deserve business. Feel free to contact me and I can let you know reasonable alternatives whom we eventually gave the business to. We were delighted with the quality, but more importantly the business transaction and professionalism. I will stress I am evaluating this company clearly on their professionalism, and client management. Consumers need to be aware. If you are allergic to dust or mold they will purposely put your life at risk and make you clean out shipping containers and not think about your medical conditions. Kyle forced me to clean containers covered with dust and mold was told to suck it up and that you cannot be that allergic Happened to me multiple times caused me to have a asthma attack and almost had to go to the er. Also the owner cannot even keep track what day of the week it is is always on his phone he will tell you to have a good weekend and it's Monday am shows ya how in sink with his own company he really is. OSHA violations everywhere on the property 3 people have been injured to a loading dock he refuses to fix me being one of them and also my father who works there and another employee. Half the materials he sells are junk or damaged majorly due to him not knowing how to run a machine I cannot tell you how many times a day we would get stuck fixing stuff he messed up. I had someone I know get material from their and the shingles were junk water damaged from sitting outside and when he open the 2nd pack it had Algae growing on it. He gets the felt from overseas it's made in India gets it very cheap and then jacks the price. You want molded boxes of resisto or ice and water theirs plenty of that there. The place is very disorganized to like serious lack of communication. Also he can't keep work and home life separated has issues in his marriage was sleeping with his secretary and got caught by his wife at work in the truck so what's that tell ya about how he treats his female employees! This dude has no respect for other people. Told me I was a safety risk and fired me while he was in Texas at a business convention was not even mad enough to fire me in person and his reason for firing me was a crop of shit. I found out after the fact he fired me beocuse I stood up for myself and did not take his verbal abuse and getting in my face he got mad Becouse he could not get away with the way he treated me like he treated other employees. Holding them side by side they feel different in your hands and are different shades as well (although both considered "elliptical oak"). Best Laminate insists this is not an error on their part and it is just made in different places. I was trying to match the "Pro" flooring I have. Nowhere on the online listing does it say the word "Original", but it does say "Pro". I feel this was an error on their part. I did not order a swatch because it said "Pro" and the number/color matched. They are allowing me to return it, but I do have to pay shipping both ways which will come out to be about $300-400. This was a huge hit for me being a single mom of 3 already having to pay for the floor restoration after a water leak. PLEASE order a sample before buying from them to be sure that it matches. I would honestly check your local stores rather than order from Best Laminate. They charged me 630+ the shipping for what my local Carpet Exchange gave me for $350 total and shipping wasn't necessary.
