There is a decent community pool complete with a slide for thrill seekers. There is a lot of chatter around town about Gordon Square, North Collinwood, Ohio City and other neighborhoods getting hip. I hope that Birdtown in Lakewood can make the same transition. Madison Park serves as the anchor.

This review is for the tennis courts. The tennis courts are called COULTON COURTS and it is located in Bay Village. There are 4 tennis courts covered by a fence and it is a "first come, first serve" deal so the sooner you arrive, the sooner you'll be able to get a court to play on. The courts are a hard court surface and they are well maintained and kept clean. The surface feels good to play on. Just outside of the courts are some benches/seats and a dustbin (trash can). This is my favorite mountain bike trail, so far…read more As of April, 2012, there were two new mountain bike trails built in the Strongsville Metroparks Reservation just south of Route 82. Royalview is located off the main road in the park. It's not a challenging trail by CAMBA standards, but it is a fun, fast trail that you can maintain a lot of speed on. You won't need a full suspension bike for these trails, but it's always nice to have. I would definitely recommend a front suspension system, however. The two new trails are in great condition. One is yellow (novice) and one is red (intermediate). I don't think either trail is particularly challenging in terms of difficulty of obstacles (there really are none), but the red trail will definitely give you more of a workout. I believe, combined, the trails stretch approximately nine miles. I am adding this review to my list of mountain bike trails around Cleveland, so feel free to browse.

I grew up on a large piece of land and always loved watching the small creatures who lived near my house. I feed the animals who live in my backyard now, and I love watching various forms of wildlife frolic in my trees. I've always jokingly said that it would be cool to be able to feed birds from my hand (Cinderella style) but I never knew that would be actually possible. It's a pretty simple process. You go into the nature center, they give you sunflower seeds, and then you patiently and quietly wait with your hand outstretched and full of seeds. I was skeptical at first, but...the chickadees and other birds were quick to scope me out. They'd fly close enough to look at me, briefly make eye contact, and then swoop in for some food. They are so light! And beautiful! And amazingly brave, I think. I know I had a hand full of food, but...I'm a heck of a lot bigger than a chickadee. I had about a dozen birds land on me while I was outside. (and I wasn't out there very long - it was coooollllldd) The highlight was having a bird land on my head! This is a super fun (and free) wintertime thing to do. Chickadee feeding is held from late December through February (weather permitting). It's such a cool experience and totally worth the drive, no matter where you live. (and it's especially fun for the little ones! they can warm up inside by the fire afterwards)

The entrance is right at the end of an intersection, so traffic can be a pain sometimes, but luckily I live within walking distance! They also have a fishing pier and there's Miller Park right next door with a mini beach and picnic areas. It's a great place to get some fresh (sometimes fishy) air and listen to the Jet Skis zoom by.

In fact, they even have a special receptacle bin for the poos, which I only know because my boyfriend almost disposed of a baggie in the wrong one. This makes me think that they have a special way to dispose of the waste, which can cause toxic runoff in our water. I appreciate that! This was actually the first dog park I've ever been to, and now that I've experienced a few I decided that I really like this one. It's not the biggest, or the most glamorous, but it's got plenty of open space for running. There are toys, water bowls, hand sanitizer and a separate area for small dogs. Archie walked in and immediately made a friend with what seemed like a breed of sheep dog. What I loved about this park was that it wasn't packed with folks who were sitting on benches with their coffee and not watching their canines. Tremont seems to attract owners who want to interact with their dogs and play with them while they're here. Since this was my first doggie park experience, I was a little worried about Archie running off or misbehaving with other dogs. The owner of the sheep dog quickly informed me that he wouldn't get out and to relax and let 'em all play. Great advice. One thing I could do without is feeling like I'm playing next to a radioactive power plant. I kept thinking I was going to leave here and develop a third eye from the toxic waves. Not a great view. I also wouldn't come down here alone at dusk, but during the day I don't think that would be a problem. Lastly, we didn't bring my boyfriend's son with us this time around, but we plan on it next time. There is a huge playground right next door for kids and since I know he'd get bored in the dog park within 10 mins, it would be a perfect situation for an energetic 6yr old.

While your dog plays, you can watch the canal traffic and the bridge (though who are we kidding, we stare at the dogs at dog parks). There are a few dog structures for puppos to run up and down. Negatives: Hard to find parking, the dog park is tiny, and the two times that I've brought my dog here, he has been the ONLY dog there. What the heck? Totally defeats the purpose of bringing him to play... All that being said, if I'm downtown with my dog, I'll bring him there but won't go out of the way to go to this dog park.

There isn't that much to do in here so you won't be spending lots of time. Another bad thing is that the ground is covered in gravel. This isn't easy for many dogs to walk on. It seems designed for you to only be in there a few minutes. Just a place to piddle and poop. It seems clean. There usually aren't any leftovers. It conveniently is located next to a train station near the bridge. It's next to a train station. The area can get noisy so it's not much of a park but a place for dogs to play and relieve themselves.
