The lodge is a medium sized venue that fits just under 100 people. There is an outside grassy area that is slightly hilly but can be perfect for stepping out for a summer event or a summer wedding. It isn't a fancy place but it does the job well. I believe the venue provided the food and the wedding party brought their own music and entertainment. The food was a nice dinner of a starter course (salad, I think), a main dish (meats), and a dessert (I forgot what was served for dessert). Drinks were provided to from non-alcoholic to alcoholic. I wanted to visit this venue for the longest time. I finally stopped in for the Cleveland Vintage Market hosted by the Cleveland Vibes. Ambiance: The space is huge - over 11,000 square feet of open space. There are remnants of Tenk Machine & Tool outside - a little mural. There is one ballrooms and separate rooms to the back of the event space. The vibes are industrial sophistication - gorgeous exposed brick walls, wood details, and abundant natural lighting. I can absolutely envision a wedding here with juxtaposition of delicate and rough. I love exposed brick walls, so for me the venue was just perfect. It was also just right for the Cleveland Vintage Market. It fit in plenty of vendors and attendees with still sufficient room to roam. Marigold Catering: There were sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for sale during the event offered by Marigold. I did not try either. I really enjoyed Marigold catered food at other events I've historically attended at other venues around the city. Service: I interacted with the security staff at this venue. They were so friendly and great at directing the foot traffic. Parking: Parking is available at a surface lot next door owned by Marigold. If you're up for a show walk, Nautica Pavilion is also a good parking choice. Ubering to this destination is pretty easy, GPS shows an accurate location. So a freaking Friday 3 PM wedding on the west side of town - with a 2 hour window before the 6 PM cocktail/7 PM reception. This was hard to find and once in the parking lot - it was still confusing. The cocktail hour was on a terrace - outdoors and rather chilly. And not wheelchair friendly as my elderly mom could not make it to this part. Uneven flooring, jammed with people and tables and chairs to maneuver. Plus there is no elevator to get her down from the reception area. Just bad planning on all levels (no pun intended). I think the food on the patio was good - it looked good but hubby wasn't hungry and there were so many people, I only ended up trying one chicken skewer thing as a waitress wandered by with a tray. It was very good. I also don't know about bar service as again - we don't drink and hubby never offered to get me a soft drink. Plus - no place to put it and eat while standing, too. So just was well. We were seated upstairs for the reception. The room has these huge metal black steel pillar-beams which blocked my view from everything happening - cutting the wedding cake, bridal dance, etc. And I was seated at the family wedding table. The room was too small for the size of the party. When the dancing started, the music was so loud those seated at tables could not talk. I don't think it was the DJ's fault for having the music too loud - we were just all crammed together right by the dance floor. One good thing - the food was absolutely delicious. I went crazy and had the beef. It was a huge serving. I would have preferred med-rare - but no choice given the size of the party. I was just happy to get a choice: beef, salmon, chicken. The squash was also fantastic - with asiago cheese. YUM! Don't know about the potatoes but they looked good. Rolls were average. Salad was good. And I guess dessert doesn't count as it was wedding cake. I do not recommend this venue for a reception for almost 200 people. Pick a bigger place. I don't imagine it was really worth the cost.

Comparatively to other venues, it's in the middle ground as far as pricing, however they do not charge a facility or staffing fee, (almost) everything is built in, so that's definitely a bonus. \ We had our wedding in late November, but a spring/summer/fall wedding can be held outdoors on their beautiful patio with a really cool fire pit. (we had our ceremony inside in front of the fire place and it was great) They have a really cool lounge loft that we did our first looks in and those pictures were my favorites. We had 60 for dinner, I'm sure you could go higher, but it was a very comfortable number for us especially since using the patio as part of the space wasn't really an option. The dinner was awesome, it is owned by the same owner as Strip next door, and I highly recommend the steak. It's also nice because Old Avon Village has two restaurants for rehearsal dinners and lots of parking and photography options.
