    Mowers and More Equipment Repair

My intent is not to be malicious, but this is 100% my honest review of my experience. If you had a…read moregood experience, awesome, but this was mine. If the owner replies to this review claiming they have no record of working with me, it is a lie. Here is the reality of my four-month, $1,400+ experience with Mowers And More. It started in April with a $210 diagnostic and a $500 PTO clutch replacement that did not solve the issue. They then said I needed a wiring harness. What followed was a frustrating series of delayed appointments. I was incredibly patient and accommodating through all of this, including reschedules for when the owner was hospitalized, and another time when they had to reschedule and couldn't show up because it was very hot that day and they got overheated at their earlier jobs. When they finally showed up weeks later, they realized they forgot to order the necessary PTO switch. They hadn't checked their inventory and blamed an 'AI ordering system' instead of taking accountability. Worse, during the install, they actually blew a solenoid, leaving my mower completely dead and unable to even crank. They had to make another trip just to fix the solenoid they broke. Literally before this entire ordeal, my mower cranked up just fine. Sitting idle for months waiting for their delayed repairs is more than likely what contributed to the fuel issues, not the 'wrong gas' that the owner later tried to claim. During that visit, they drained the fuel system, put on a new filter, and got it running on starting fluid just long enough to claim the PTO worked. They told me my carburetor was 'gross' and that I needed a new one. At this point, I was completely fed up. I told them I would just handle the fuel system myself because I wanted them gone. I never intended to not pay them. However, I clearly communicated that I wanted to get the mower running first so I could personally verify their electrical work. I couldn't just take their word for it. Instead of being understanding, he claimed, 'We did the work you hired us for,' and demanded the $720 final payment for a machine that still wouldn't stay running. I held my ground and refused to pay until I knew the machine worked. I am not a professional mechanic, but I took over, put on a new fuel pump, cleaned my old carburetor (I didn't even need the new one they claimed I did), replaced a single fuel line to the tank, and boom, it fired right up and cut the front yard perfectly. Only after I got it running myself did I go ahead and pay the invoice in full even though I feel like I shouldn't have, just to wash my hands of them and close the account for good. The owner likes to brag that they just won a local repair award. When confronted about this terrible service, he made excuses about how hard the parts supply chain is right now and claimed I 'have no idea' what it is like to run a "repair" business. It is incredibly ironic, especially when my entire career has been building companies in Home Services and Tech. The reality of running any business is that backend logistical issues happen, but it is your job as an owner to manage that chaos so the customer doesn't feel it. Save your time and money and find a true professional.

I would not recommend this business. They charged a fortune and did not fix the mower. The mower…read morenever ran properly after their work. During the first mow after they "fixed" it, it ran very, very rough. On subsequent attempts, the mower continually died and I was not able to cut my lawn. I paid close to $500 dollars and the mower was never fixed. I don't have extra money to throw away. They really created a hardship for me.

It started earlier this summer, when they picked up 4 mowers/trimmers for repair. I already knew it would take forever to get them back, BUT....one 3 year old walk behind came back unrepaired "because they couldn't find parts" (I was charged the 50 bucks to tell me that and they offered to let me dispose of that $500 mower by leaving it there. I declined!) They return the second unit, a field trimmer with the same reason (if I remember right) unfixed, same charge, same offer to "relieve me off 400 bucks" by keeping it there. I declined. They fixed the ride on, however, I gave them a written note, telling them exactly what I wanted to to have. INSTEAD they replaced a "dead" battery that was in fine shape and held a charge before they came for an insane amount of money, did NOT have it authorized before hand, rebuilt the carburetor that had JUST been rebuild/cleaned and only been used about 10 minutes before it went to them. And at the second mowing, a few weeks after they came back, that carburetor turned out faulty and pushed a huge amount of gasoline into my oil! Now, I dare call them about this and you guessed it, warranty on their work is THIRTY days! That is how much they trust their own work, ONE maybe TWO uses and you are on your own. And it never needed to be messed with to begin with, nor that battery (Of course they didn't return my "old" battery either....) So I paid 800 bucks, got 2 unfixed mowers back, have not yet even tried to start the handheld trimmer......and the ride on is as dead as it was a few weeks ago and NO WARRANTY on their own work, that they MESSED UP. Watch some videos, you can fix more yourself then you know. Start with google AI to narrow down the issue. You can do it. Save your money.
