In fact we even bought from a dealer that is not supplied by TOP, and this brings me to how we came to realize a difference in service, between dealers, and even distributers. To prevent embarrassment, I'll leave the "other" dealer un-named. We bought a good quality product from them (Echo), and months later it needed some warranty work. We dealt with them for months to get it resolved, and the answer they gave us was that our unit was trashed, and we should just buy a new one (from them of course.) Being in desperate need of another unit, we did purchase a replacement, but continued to fight our warranty at the dealer and manufacturer level. Because of the poor involvement of the dealer, the manufacturer was forced to deny the claim. Because of the poor management of the dealer, this would never be resolved, and in the meantime, our unit still held for inspection by un-named dealer, was THROWN AWAY. My guess is so that we couldn't get a second opinion on it. We were lied to, given the run around when we contacted them, and finally treated super rudely when we realized that this dealer was going to do nothing to keep a customer. Leaving said dealer, we entered one of TOP's dealers and voiceing frustration with the Echo, said that we were in need of a replacement product, NOT made by Echo. When TOP got wind of our boycott they decided to make it right even though they were not even involved in this case at all. They picked up the pieces of someone else's mess, and cleaned it up, salvaging a commercial customer. Isn't that how business in America is supposed to be done? Echo, Scag and Billy Goat, make the best products that we have used; BUT THE DEALER MAKES A DIFFERENCE! Make sure you go to Texas Outdoor Power's website, and buy your stuff from a dealer that is held accountable. What good is a warranty if it isn't backed by a company willing to stand for what's Thanks to the guys behind the scenes!

He engaged quickly, set up a time to come out to my house, spent time diagnosing the mower, and showed me the part that was broken. He didn't have the replacement on the truck and I'd told him I was comfortable replacing it myself, so we agreed for him to come back out and adjust it after I replaced the rocker arm. On the second trip, Ken worked on the mower for a while to keep it from running too fast and pointed out a couple things I'd done wrong when I rebuilt the engine. Turns out I was going to need to rebuild the motor again to fix the internal part that wasn't working right. I tried to pay him for the 2 trips and he said he couldn't accept payment since he didn't get it to a full running condition. I have now rebuilt it, gotten it running again, and reached out to Ken to adjust it. He gave me detailed instructions over e-mail to make the adjustments myself since he knows I'm handy, and has declined my 3rd attempt to pay him for his services...again since he says he didn't leave the mower fully functional. You don't see this level of integrity, honesty, and consideration out of many people these days. If Ken won't let me pay him, the most I can do is give him a 5* rating anywhere I can. Great guy, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing small engine repair.

This is in response to Katja, K (8/21/2026) - There is two sides to every story, You got to tell your side. However, you fail to provide all the details. Which I am more than willing to do. So lets start with the limited options for lawn mower repair, you could go to Temple and pay $100.00 per hour plus deposit fee or Austin and pay $120.00 per hour plus deposit. AJ's charges $85.00 per hour. You paid $45.00for pick up/delivery for 5 items (Rider, Push Mower, 2 Push Trimmer's and 1 string trimmer) (You should Have been Charged $45.00 for the rider and $10.00 for each additional unit. For a total of $85.00). Let's start with the Push Mower- The symptoms stats making a weird sound when running, needs new flywheel key. - Upon conducting a diagnostic check on the unit, Found Metallic shavings in the oil, the engine was getting ready to go. The $50.00 was payment for the diagnostic fee. (Payment for the Tech's time and work). The next unit was for a Yard Max Push Trimmer which needed a service plus a brake cable and the engine on/off switch (we could not find the cable or switch for this unit. $50 diagnostic fee was charged. The Murray string trimmer needed a service at which you was charged $137.52. The Cub Cadet Push Trimmer needed a service and you was charged $126.56. The Craftsman Rider Where to Begin. However rebuilt the carburetor prior to come to our shop did a poor job, as they failed to put all the gasket required back in and bent the throttle linkage, didn't replace the sparkplug, unit had rotten fuel in it. Plus when they put the deck back on, they put it on backwards, unit had been sitting for at least a year according to the notes given. So the battery needed to be replaced, a tune-up done. You did approve all estimates. The total for the rider was 412.15. your total bill was $708.02 for 9 hours for work. That averages $78.67 per hour. Not even our posted labor rate. So if you are disgusted. So is AJ's - Customers like you is why AJ's had to start the deposit fee / diagnostic fee. Why we stop doing discounts. Please do us a favor take your equipment to another shop. See if they don't charge you a arm and a leg. May you get what you deserve. read more

I had their service dept perform a pre-sale inspection and perform a 100 hr service on it. They also transported it to my local WCTractor 12 miles away since I was running into pick up issues. These professionals were very helpful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to accommodate. The tractor stopped working a couple weeks after I got it, and after sharing a video of what was happening with the Temple crew, they felt my issue was due to an oversight in the initial service I paid for. Mike offered to have the tractor picked up and brought back to them for diagnostic and repair. Again, these professionals are going above and beyond normal expectations. I was skeptical about buying used farm equipment but after working with these professionals, I know I made the right decision to trust WCTractor -Temple. I will not hesitate to do future business with both the Temple and Navasota WCT locations. Without a doubt, Cole in Navasota and Robert and Mike in Temple know how to do business right and treat their customers with the utmost respect and integrity. Highly recommend! I was planning on going down to Austin to have the repair completed but since this is a two-day job, getting the work done in Killeen is much more convenient. I called the shop, confirmed that they could complete the job and received an acceptable estimate. I also mentioned that I didn't have a truck and asked if I could order the top and have it shipped directly to the shop and was told that that wouldn't be a problem; I got the impression that this had been done before. I asked if they could recommend any particular brand of replacement top and was told that both EZ ON and Robbins were quality brands, I went with a Robbins from TopsOnline.com. The person I spoke to at Barrett's was polite and VERY informative, so far, so good. Well, I ordered the top August 2nd, opting for the cloth because I believe it looks a bit classier than the original vinyl, seeing the new top installed I'm glad I made that choice. For any Miata types out there, the item number that I ordered was "R2917C-STBKB" with a description of "1998 thru 2005 Mazda Miata MX5 & MX5 Eunos -- 1 Piece Look Top with No Zipper Heated Defroster Glass Window With New Rain Rail" As planned, on August 8th, my top arrived at the shop, I was notified of the delivery and called to confirm receipt, I wish I had waited for the shop to call me since I could have reviewed that as well. The shop was booked up for the remainder of the week so the install actually began a few days later, I used their drop-off service and dropped my car off in the evening. The install was expected to take two days but took three, this wasn't a big deal, I'd much rather the top be installed professionally than quickly, and this was a beautiful install! I apologize to the business for this review being dated by a couple of months but that is actually a good thing, I've had a few more weeks to review both the top and the install. I am comfortable taking my Miata through touch-free carwashes and this top performs well under such conditions, I also drove through heavy rain generated by Hurricane Harvey and thanks to some cool mornings, I've been able to test out the rear defrost. Everything works as advertised and I am 100% satisfied with both the product and the installation. Kudos to both Topsonline.com and Barrett's Upholstery Center.

The serviceman was new, Carlos was his name. He did not seem to know how to repair the Generator, and was on the phone talking to someone at Generac for help. He was told to break the fan out to get to the part that needed replacement. The unit was under extended warranty. This guy could not seem to fix the generator we asked for a new generator since this one had broken down twice within the first two years. Carlos contacted Generic and started the process to get a new generator, he all but promised we would get a new generator, but it took over 2.5 months to get an answer. Generac decided this generator should be fix. Carlos came back out and fixed the generator in 3 hours. Now if the generator could be fixed in 3 hours, 2.5 months later, why couldn't it be fixed back then? I lost all confidence with this company. And frankly I was surprised Carlos could actually fix the Generator. Time will tell. I am looking for a new company to do my yearly service contract. Also a big problem was that they would not provide the paperwork as to what the serviceman did until I asked for it. So I had lost confidence with Amos Electric a long time ago.

He dug between the very old tank and the house and found that whoever connected the tank to the house had put the pipe in uphill. Problem solved!! Highly recommend this great company.
