You'll find candles for almost any ailment, predicament or situation. Baby mama drama, legal trouble, help winning the lottery, etc. Some of them are printed on the jar but other signs are taped onto the jar (a little low-rent for my tastes). Room for improvement includes pricing all the candles. I picked one up without a price tag and it was $8 when I got to the register, when I saw many others priced around $6 or $7. It was a gift for a friend so not a big deal. Discount Candles is a really fun shop whether you believe the hullabaloo or not. They offer a wide variety of candles, incense and oils to choose from, and they've got a large (free!) parking lot to the right of the store for your convenience. I have been frequent recently with the annual release of their Fall/Halloween scents and immersed myself in the soap section with the sales they've had. This location's staff is also really great, they greet you and ask you if you're looking for anything in particular, and if you have any questions they give you their name, which also at cash, they ask you if anyone has helped you. There is always at least 5 employees wandering around the store willing to help you find something you need. The different varieties they have in stock are great, my favourite scents are the Fall scents for example Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, Fall Leaves, basically anything from their Fall line and Moonlight Path which is one of their regular scents that had gone away but now is back. Make sure you always look for a sale, they always have them, because regular price for their items are on the expensive side.

I believe I spent about 1-2 hrs in this store talking to the chandler about the candle making process and smelling the different scents. The staff is very knowledgeable. She let me experience a scent that she's currently making as well as a new release called Amalfi coast. The scents are available in candles, parfums, roll on scents, body wash and hand lotion. Highly recommend. There's also a candle making experience available after business hours.

Everything is reasonable priced. The staff is more than equipped to handle any questions; it's a pleasure talking with people who are into what you're into. The shop carries a great welcoming and comforting energy. Classes and gatherings are offered, such as meditation circles. Parking: paid on the street or parking lots.

When I requested a refund they said because the product had been used they couldn't accept (of course they've been used, I attempted to burn the candles, which ultimately wouldn't burn). Also said they 'couldn't guarantee the quality' because they didn't manufacture them. Do not sell product you can't stand behind! I was shocked and disappointed by the terrible customer service here. Wouldn't recommend. I will continue supporting The Boston Tea Room where they run an exceptional business and treat customers with respect!

During a recent visit to complete our annual Christmas candle shopping, my wife, children, and I had a highly unprofessional experience involving an employee named Amanda. When we asked basic customer service questions--specifically about available gift sets and whether we could check out--we were met with unnecessary rudeness and dismissive behavior. Her words and actions made it clear that we were unwelcome in the store. This visit occurred within the final hour before closing, which may explain the treatment we received, but regardless of timing, customers should not be made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable for asking routine questions. Unfortunately, the issue did not end there. Several days later, we contacted the store to report our experience. Amanda answered the phone and stated that there was no one overseeing management at the location and refused to provide contact information for any supervisor or corporate office. My wife did not identify herself during this call, so there was no indication that Amanda knew she was speaking with the same customer from the prior visit. On a subsequent call, I again spoke with Amanda and was provided a generic Gmail address as the only point of contact for someone allegedly overseeing the location. During this same conversation, Amanda stated she was working alone, which was later determined to be untrue, as the individual whose email address she provided was physically present in the store at that time. Eventually, I did receive a callback from the individual currently overseeing the store. I was informed that the store manager was terminated earlier this year and the position has not been filled. Despite assuming managerial duties, this individual stated he is not authorized to coach employees, address performance concerns, or take corrective action. No apology was offered for our in-store experience. Additionally, I was informed that there are no formal processes or training in place at this location related to customer sensitivity, diversity awareness, emergency situations, or incident escalation to corporate leadership. This lack of oversight and structure is concerning from both a customer service and safety standpoint. Based on this experience, it appears there is little to no accountability or management oversight at this location. As a result, I cannot recommend shopping here and will not be returning.
