Due to the pandemic not improving we decided to cancel the trip as we were travelling outside of the country with children and someone with pre existing health concerns (We planned last year and thought things would be better now). Once cancelled I did not hear from our travel agent Linda for days to know if the trip was successfully cancelled or when we should expect a refund etc. I had to reach out to her and once we finally spoke she told me that the trip was cancelled and we would not receive our deposits. How unethical and unprofessional to not make a client aware of this before cancelling. My family and I loss over $1300 in deposits. Not to mention there was NO written verbiage in our contract or emails that stated deposits will be forfeited due to cancellation. Which I mentioned to Linda. We also had insurance by the way. I also asked why was I not informed that there would be a loss prior to cancelling the trip. All I received was an apology of miscommunication. There can be no miscommunication if there is NO communication!! I feel this was very low level service for someone who claims to have been in the business for over 20 years. I feel there is a bit of shady business here and I recommend you look elsewhere.

We told her we would meet her and she said she cancelled their ride. They almost missed their flight and we had to rush them 45 minutes to the airport, William never ever initiated anything!! I had to ask for an apology, and here we are months later no refund. He said they switched companies and would try to process and every time I asked for an update nothing. Today when I notified him I would do a review and file a case to get our refund he said he will prepare his lawsuit against us. This is not a good businessman. He should have taken care of this that day to process a refund and calling us with updates. I have never written a bad review before but it is clear he has never had any intention of returning our money . How disappointing that there are people in business that don't know the word Customer Service and doesn't care we are out dollars. I see his responses never his fault with other clients who complain. A real professional would accept the mistake happened and pay us back. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SOUNDS LIKE IF ALL GOES ALRIGHT THATS GREAT BUT IF THEY DON'T SHOW UP AND YOU PRE PAID, YOUR OUT OF LUCK He responded on google and said we could have reported in 12/2024. He told me he could customize a tour that included mid-century modern residential buildings in addition to the regular walking tour of downtown skyscrapers. The price was more than reasonable so we set the date. He picked us up at our hotel and provided an incredibly thorough tour of the city, telling us countless stories about Detroit and Grosse Pointe as we went. I was able to hop out of the car and take photos of my favorite buildings whenever I wanted. The only downside was the day had to end at some point. You will be hard pressed to find someone more knowledgeable and passionate about his city's history than John Paul. As we said goodbye I promised to repay the favor if he makes his way to Houston someday. What else can I say?!
