We stopped by Walkie Talkie Coffee on our way back from playing a tournament game at the Hall of Fame Village. Walkie Talkie looks like a restored old building. There is vintage furniture inside as well as a trendy vibe. The workers were friendly and helpful. The menu had a list of interesting types of coffee. My son had a mudlide iced and I tried the muddy buddy hot. Both had a lot of flavor and I'm glad we got the chance to stop by and try it. read more

Wonderful coffee shop! There is some construction around it right now so it's a little difficult to get to but definitely worth it. It's a smaller place but they have a few parking spots out front and some room to sit inside, plus they're open later which is great! I got one of their iced jelly donut drink (described as a pastry inspired raspberry oat cold brew) and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I was unable to make it decaf as it was a premade cold brew, but I went for it anyway and have no regrets! It was on the sweeter side for sure so a small was plenty, and there were raspberry seeds inside from the steeped milk so that was great. I also got one of their seasonal poptarts (lemon meringue) and it was excellent! Flaky pastry with torched meringue on top and a nice lemon curd inside. The barista was friendly too. Absolutely loved my stop at this shop. I was in town for an appointment and searched coffee shops randomly. This one was close & highly rated so I decided to check it out. The girl who helped me was extremely friendly & very helpful. I forgot to grab her name but she was working Thursday @ 1pm! The atmosphere of the shop is very unique and distinct. It's so cute & I genuinely love everything about the aesthetic of this coffee shop. All of the syrups are HOMEMADE, which is a huuuge point of interest in my opinion when visitng a coffee shop. I tried an iced choco latte after being indecisive for a few minutes because of the multiple flavors that sounded delicious. This is a great little coffee shop that is built into an old auto repair shop. Its sort of in a neighborhood but worth the drive out. The owners/staff were excellent and welcoming. They explained the menu and the seasonal options as well. I ended up trying the birthday cake latte (no coffee and was to celebrate their... X year anniversary of opening, I apologize I forgot which year). I was told it tastes exactly like birthday cake and they were absolutely correct, it was almost bizzare. I have been wanting to stop by Walkie Talkie for a long time and I finally stopped by after work to study for a little bit. The barista was so friendly and made me one of the most delicious drinks! I got the mud slide and omg I would recommend. I am not a vegan girlie but the chocolate chip cookie looked so good and I was starving so I figured why not. We checked out Walkie Talkie for the first time following a morning workout at the Mckinley Monument. The shop is very cute and reminded us of the shops in the Pacific Northwest. I ordered a regular coffee and my friend ordered a Matcha. Both drinks were very good and the prices were in line with most coffee places in the area. So incredibly cool in here, and I love a good theme. Their theming is really awesome. Do you copy? It is not right on the main drag, but the shop is bright orange, and easy to spot if you know what you are looking for. The building is really cute, tucked onto a corner with a facade that really stands out. They don't really do pour overs anymore, because they explained to me that their coffee blends do better as drip coffees. Okay, Roger that. Shorter wait and less expense. And the coffee was superb. Wanted to stop and get a nice cup of warm on a cold day and found this place. Cute! Sitting at a corner lot in kinda of a regular neighborhood. By that I mean it's not in a strip mall or by other businesses it's just on a corner. It's a cool space for sure. Old gas station type vibe. Limited Parking in a small parking lot but people were parking on the street across the street. We did. It's easy. Just limited. It's cute inside. Tables and chairs and a window type ledge table. Could use some comfy couches. But it's nice. They have the normal list of coffee/tea drinks and some specials. When we went they told us they were out of eggnog drinks because they didn't have any eggnog. Those were part of the specials. I ordered a almond mile chai latte. But no almond milk. So I got oat milk. Prefer almond but that's fine. We also got 2 hot chocolates which looked great. All in all prices were normal. Ambiance was cute. Staff was friendly. Nice neighborhood place. I ended up going later in the day, so a few of their drinks and pastries were sold out, but it looks like they had nice variety. I had the blueberry fields forever tea latte. Coffee is better when it's not a corporate big chain. It certainly is an independent place here. Walkie Talkie is Canton's best coffee shop. Atmosphere is cool. The staff is very good at creating stuff. Cozy is a good way to describe it. It doesn't have that much room inside, so a lot get takeout. There is a room with seating though. It's located in an interesting building. This used to be a gas station. As for the coffee, everything I've had I would get again. The special they had one day was some kind of oat vanilla. It was about $5 for a medium. This was made with oat milk, with a strong amount of vanilla. It's good even though the coffee isn't local. It's coffee is from Heart Roasters, located in Portland. I love this space! A seating mix of outdoor, modernized old house, and industrial with a lovely mural on the wall. Baristas are great, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. The customers are cool. This shop serves Heart coffee, which is great. They don't serve pour overs anymore, but hey, if most customers aren't into that, why serve it? Their percolated drip is great, so no worries about taste. I can still pick out notes. Their Cinna something drink is quite popular! I'll have to try it out next time. Really cool coffee shop. It is pretty small, but that feeds into the intimate/cozy/relaxing atmosphere. There are different seating options to just hang out, or to work a little while you're there. There are also a lot of people who get their drinks to go. You can tell the quality difference in the drinks by the ingredients that they use. They had a few specialty drinks at the time, and they also were friendly enough to make a simple vanilla steamer for one of the more picky people in our group. If you want exceptional espresso drinks, especially if you actually love the taste of espresso, you need to visit this place. Great ambiance, decor, and a surprising number of seating options, but the care put into their drinks is what pushes this shop to 5 stars. I order a cortado wherever I go and I've rarely had one as exceptional as here. I was in a hurry and took a sip while getting into my car and literally went back into the shop to thank them. Incredible flavor in their espresso and they don't drown it with milk or feel the needs to top off the cup. I ordered a cortado and a pour over of a lightly roasted Kenyan coffee and both were excellent. The pour over tasted just how the barista said it would taste--fruity, light acidity. The milk in the cortado was smooth and silky and the espresso in the cortado shined with good flavors. What I liked about Walkie Talkie Coffee. 1) The love for coffee and down to earth service that went into making the guest experience great. The baristas demonstrated a love for and dedication to brewing and crafting the coffee drinks. They put their full and careful attention into the drink preparation. I love supporting local, small owned places and I'm a sucker for good coffee so this place checks all the boxes. I came here about a month ago and again today. I've had their drip coffee both times because I wanted to keep it simple the first time and then it was so tasty I wanted it the next time. But I also really want to try their espressos drinks because they sound really good and also different from your typical chain coffee shop. Staff have been super friendly both times. The first time I ordered when I arrived and this time did order ahead. Both were good experiences. The food menu is very limited: cookies and scones. I first heard about Walkie Talkie through an article in the local newspaper while they were attempting to secure funding for equipment through Kickstarter. I love the idea of trying to create more friendly neighborhood businesses, and Walkie Talkie definitely is such a business. Inside of an old (remodeled) fuel station, Walkie Talkie has a really cool, laid back vibe. A vintage record player sits off to one side, and the music adds to the overall ambiance of this spot. There is ample room to sit (both chairs and counter space). Their coffee is from Heart Roasters in Portland, Oregon and it is top-notch! My wife and I both tried chai lattes and were impressed! Specialty coffee is in Canton! I first heard about Walkie Talkie and their Kickstarter campaign through Heart Coffee's Instagram last summer. Since then, they've been able to raise their funds completely and are open for business. COFFEE: -Heart's Kenya Kiandu pour over was awesome, I'd recommend waiting a little for the coffee to cool down before trying to get more of the flavor notes! -I also grabbed the cold brew to go before heading out and it was delicious as well. They just recently added it and are experimenting with the stereo blend and immersion times but the batch I had was brewed for 24 hours and diluted with a 1/3 water ratio which was perfect. -Will be adding more as I continue trying more but the basil & rosemary lattes both seem like a must-try. They also have the big kid which is the cold brew diluted with chocolate milk instead of water and definitely unique to them. The shop is cute and everyone is super friendly. Got to talk with John for a couple of minutes on all the new drinks they're experimenting with and future menu options for the summer. Whether you're just visiting the area and need a quick fix of quality coffee or you're a local, I'd definitely recommend giving Walkie Talkie a visit! read more

The pastries are in-house now and the cruffins (weekends only, maybe on Saturday?) are giant but made well. I almost always get a chocolate chip cookie, though. The name is so so good, as an older millennial I have gobs of nostalgia for those little radio phones and the logo and signage and color scheme could not appeal to me more. The walkaccino solves my problem of always wanting a Cappuccino But Bigger, the awesome variety homemade syrups!, the local dairy milk already flavored with orange deliciousness and then you steam it for lattes?! Yes. That is my alley. I had a very real problem of wanting every drink of the menu. And that scone!!! Apparently it is made by a local bakery, but thank you so much for blessing the public with coffee's best friend. One of the best scones I've had in a long time.
