I recently moved out here and was referred to Dr. Jamii St. Julien. I brought my disc and report from my catscan and had him physically check my incisional hernia, which is the size of a 6lb bowling ball from my cesarean scar. He wanted another catscan to make sure I had a hernia lol Then they literally pushed weight loss surgery on me to get a hernia repair. my youngest is one, but i had her and the middle child back to back within the last 3 years. I am still overweight technically but really not enough to consider weight loss surgery. With medication from my primary care, good diet and exercise I have lost 32 lbs in 4 mos. The catscan they ordered was done at least 2 months ago. They have rescheduled my appointment 2x! what I thought was the follow up with him in regoards to my hernia, only to call and be told it was with someone else there for their weightloss visit!!! I reiterated that I do not need nor want weightloss surgery and would like to proceed with my follow up appointment in regards to the catscan and getting this hernia repaired after my hard work and having to live like this for the past year and half. Only to be told they have never received my results!!! I called the imaging place and was told they sent and received confirmation from the office that they received it!!!! Called again and was told they do not have it and I needed to go to the imaging center and get the copies to bring!!!! This was not the first bad experience. I had issues just getting the order from them for the catscan!!!!!!! I am currently trying to find a reputable surgeon that will help me and honestly. I was instructed to continue to take calcium for that low lab. I also continued vitamin d since it was trending up but still low. I was worried that I was going to have to take calcium for the rest of my life. But thankfully, my recently pth levels are normal. My vitamin d is finally in the normal range too. It isn't in the optimal normal range but it will get there. I just wanted to share that incase someone freaks out about pth being low after the procedure. So hopefully my labs will stabilize and continue to stay normal. Will update if anything changes. The scar is barely visible too. The incision was made at my natural fold. It healed nicely.

Dr. Greene did agree that I needed surgery but added his diagnosis which explained many of my symptoms, which the first doctor had not done. He even volunteered to call my son in another state who planned to be with me for surgery, and actually called him the same day. After speaking with Dr. Greene, my son was convinced that he was the right doctor for me. Although there were originially a few mistakes made in my records by the office staff and one or two problems with scheduling, everything was eventually corrected and the surgery went very well. The front desk staff were always cordial to me and two times when I called and left messages for the doctor, he returned my calls at home. I was extremely apprehensive before surgery and during the recovery period, but within two weeks I was able to stop all pain medications. The first follow-up visit was uncomfortable but Dr Greene assured me that I was healing extremely well, and by the second visit I had no more discomfort, drainage or problems with my sinuses. I would definitely recommend Dr. Greene. I believe he is an excellent diagnostician, a highly skilled surgeon, and a compassionate doctor who actually listens to his patient.

I ended up finding a great surgeon in Sarasota! The experience was like night and day! I had fillers and a breast augmentation in Sarasota. Yelp friends, be sure to choose a super kind, polite and compassionate doctor. Don't settle for mediocracy and arrogance. Also, be sure you read REAL reviews from REAL people. Fake reviews usually don't have a picture of the reviewer. Fake reviews only have 1-4 reviews in total on their profile. Its not uncommon for staff, friends and family to hype up a business with bias reviews.
