This review is based on my personal experience as a custer of this business on Feb 21, 2025. District Music Hall is a fantastic venue for a close-up experience with your favorite cult or cover band. They book comics sometimes too. The place is immaculate. Recent renovations to sound and lighting make it a great choice for top quality perfomances and a fun night out with friends. Most shows are kid friendly too. The staff is pleasant and couteous, and the drinks are only moderately overpriced. Garnishes included free of charge. The Wall Street Theater was renamed District Music Hall in March 2024. I'm betting it will be March 2034 before Yelp updates this listing. read more

My experiences at the Wall Street Theater in Norwalk, CT Tonight's Liege Lord show was my 3rd trip to the Wall Street Theater total. My first being in 2019 when Liege Lord played last time, everything went fine as far as the show went. The second being in May when Burning Witches played the venue this past year. At this show, the Wall Street Theater wouldn't allow the band to hang out and meet fans in the lobby after their set, but the show itself was a great show regardless of how it treated the band. The reason I mention these previous shows is they let you use your phone to record the band performing at both of these shows. No big deal is what I thought, but not tonight. Why wouldn't a venue allow this in 2022? It's free publicity for both the venue and the band. Just look at youtube, there's a million live performances on there! Which leads me to the unprofessional behavior of a female security member of your venue tonight. At Tonight's Liege Lord show, they take the stage and everything is going good. I start to video the band playing (who had zero problem with this by the way, it is 2022 after all, everyone records everything now). Within 30 seconds, I have a female security member of your team tap me on the shoulder, yell at me and tell me I have to go. I apologized for recording (which is so odd in this day and age for a venue to enforce this) and told her I drove 2 and a half hours from Worcester for this show. She told me she doesn't care, and tells me she's getting her manager. I then have a very nice gentleman come over to me and just asks me to not record. Everything is smoothed over. I wasn't singled out, this same employee did this to everyone. I would be embarrassed to employ this person. If this is the venue's policy about recording, it wasn't listed on the ticket or there wasn't any signs in the venue stating otherwise. Immediately after the set this employee gets rude with everyone and tells them they must leave the venue. Liege Lord had lots of friends and family hang out after the show in the lobby and this same employee was screaming at these people to leave and get out right in front of the band. I found this behavior truly unprofessional, and that behavior ranked pretty low for me over the 25 years or so of going to concerts for myself. The sad thing is the Wall Street Theater is a great venue. The sound is good and you have a great view of the stage from any position in the theater. This venue has tons of potential, is in a good location, has a good amount of parking and is easy to get to. It's unfortunate you have unprofessional employees working for you like this woman. If a band announces a tour, and I have a choice to see that band at another venue instead, I'm going to do that. I don't care how good the sound and view is, if you hire people like that you deserve any complaints or criticism your business gets. We've seen so many shows here. The people are great, the venue is great, they bar is great, even the bathrooms are great! Seriously, get on their list and make plans to see a show! Tickets are reasonable and managed with Eventbrite so easy to use with your phone. It's fairly easy to get in and out of here and it's just a solid small theater for the acts that perform is a solid small theater. Seriously, get on their list! You'll love it! read more

They did SUCH A GOOD JOB restoring this theatre and bringing it back to life. Truly beautiful inside and the staff are true patrons of the art and so helpful and just as jazzed as we were to see a show. We saw Kashmir the Led Zeppelin tribute band and they knocked our socks off. They have a good selection of offerings at the bar and even offer mixed drinks. Can't wait to see my next show there! read more

Drove over 5 hours round trip to see Taj Mahal 7/27/22. The keyboard was in the way and after about an hour I got frustrated and complained. The owner responded with...you can see his feet. He also said it was the bands fault for putting it there. Shouldn't a responsible owner know to guide the band with the set up to avoid this? Realizing I was more upset he said we could move to another seat, which he took us to. Went to the bar and when we went to sit down, two purses and drinks were under the seats...they were occupied. Wrote my review on TripAdvisor that day and the owner didn't even offer a response. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

We had a great time at Wall Street theatre even though the band we saw ended up being a little disappointing. But the theatre is newly renovated and felt really clean and nice. We sat in the first row of the upper section which turned out to be perfect. We had a clear view with nobody in front of us. We were able to get drinks and snacks quickly and the people behind the bar were friendly. Parking was a little tricky as we were unsure if spots In nearby store lots were ok. We found a spot on the street behind the building. Would definitely return for a different show read more

We just got lucky and a friend by chance found the show. Not the way to go to mkt. Venue maybe 2/3rds full. Not the point...the point is we just attended a great Holiday show w/ Peabo Bryson, Deniese Williams, John Secada and Taylor Dayne in a beautifully renovated theater. Find a show and just GO! Great new theatre, wonderful staff and you will not be disappointed. SO GREAT. read more

20-12-22 sat Ruben Studdard tickets said 730 to 1100 pm show started 735 an at 9pm walk off the stage the show was over everyone around was confused but with that said I called an went down there friday the box office said will be open 11 to 5 I was there in afternoon for 20 min rang bell everything no one came to the window not happy with the show or the way the box office works was charged 30 dollars for 2 drinks ? The show was supposed to stream for 72 hours. When I logged onto watch after the kids went to bed it would not work. It does not stream through apple tv as advertised and the stream through wallstreettheater.live does not work. What gives? This was very poorly done. I would like a refund. read more

A very nice venue. Staff is fantastic. Seating is good,as a matter of fact there's not a bad seat in the house. Here's where the one star rating comes in.........the sound system sucks! We went there for the Satisfaction concert (Rolling Stones Tribute Band) and all the words were muffled and couldn't understand anything the frontman was singing. Luckily I'm a lifetime Stones fan so I knew every word of every song, but that wasn't the point. After the 3rd song we couldn't take it anymore and left. We had also purchased tickets at the same time for The Band Band at the end of the summer so we had to go and hoped that the sound system was an isolated situation. Well we got there, sat down (again great staff) and waited for the show to begin crossing our fingers that this would be a great time with great music. Mind you, we saw The Band Band at another venue last year and the music, singing and acoustics were fabulous, which brought us to wanting to see them again. We gave them until the second song and the sound was so bad we couldn't stay there a minute longer. We left as it was sheer torture to stay there and listen to muffled words that we now confirmed was not this bands doing. If someone from the Wall Street theater reads this and wants to fix things from within, we may give it another try as the venue itself is convenient to restaurants, parking etc. read more

its a nice venue but the lack of care on the organizers part was disappointing. they advertised a vip package and it was totally not what they promised. i paid full price 300.00 and they offered the same vip for 50.00 days before. due to this, it made it a disaster for the people who respectfully paid full price. we had to take group pictures with the act to correct their error in judgement. i did not pay 300.00 to take pictures with strangers. nevermind that they promised we could take pics with our own phone and then forbid it when we got there. not right at all. i emailed them and never got a response nor explanation. read more

Attended the Connecticut's got talent competition yesterday and noticed an unprecedented amount of biased judging of a particular finalist... In addition I witnessed unprofessional behavior by the stage crew. The competition seemed more about popularity rather than talent in my opinion. read more
