Oh Wimberley! You give my city exhausted heart a rest. This is my 4th time coming to Wimberley Market Days - I think I've been coming from Houston every 3ish years since 2014. Not a fully seasoned market day gal but definitely not my first rodeo. First, Lions Club parking is now a $10 donation up from the $5 it used to be. There is one $5 lot but it's a cute walk. With shopping & an almost 4 year old kid, we opted for a close parking lot. There is something for everyone here. Vintage, garden art, pottery, freeze dried candy, jellies, hats, boots, hot wheels. There is even a donation only booth for a pet shelter/rescue. This is an open air market so weather is a huge factor here. Thankfully today was the first pre-fall cool front so the breeze & mid-80s awaited us! Bring your wagons/carts, coolers, fresh eyes & enjoy! Places like this remind me Texas is a beautiful place to live. read more

If you ever get a chance, this market is a must go! Mark your calendar, because it's only on the first Sat of every month 7am- 4pm. Arrive early as parking fills up fast! $5 fee to park at some of the lots and bring a wagon to tow all your purchased goodies. Maps are provided at the entrances and be prepared to browse hundreds of booths/vendors selling everything- you name it! Plants, antiques, books, food, home made decor, garden decor, etc. Concession stands throughout the market- selling BBQ, burgers, breakfast tacos, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. This market is entirely run by friendly volunteers. Entertainment (live bands) are located at each stand. We ended up buying a beautiful plant (dessert rose), cute metal TX armadillo decor, a large metal round TX star art to place on a large stone in our front yard, an antique bike planter, and a large metal wind spinner. Drove through downtown Wimberley afterwards, but there was so much tourist traffic, that it was impossible to park. Looked like there were lovely restaurants along the river as well. Checking out downtown may have to be on a separate day. Cute cowboy boot statues are decorated throughout the city, great for a photo op. We look forward to attending market day once again in the future. read more

The drive through the hill country to get to Wimberley is quite pleasant. However, once there you'll be sitting in a very long car line waiting to get into a parking lot. We spent 20 minutes trying to get a parking space because all the lots were filled. We finally had to park at a school building some distance away. You will be pleased that there is no cost to enter, but you may pay $5 to park. Once inside, you'll find almost entirely permanent structures situated along a paved path, not a bunch of tents in a field. I chuckled at one Yelpers review who said that much of what is purchased here would wind up at a Goodwill in 3 to 5 years, and there is a grain of truth to that. However, there really is a huge selection of fine furnishings, vintage records, knives, vintage toys, leather goods, vintage clothing, CBD oil, jams and almost every conceivable craft item. If you do plan on picking up some items here, keep in mind, you're going to be a good distance from your car so you should bring a backpack or wagon for hauling. I also recommend wearing sun glasses and a hat to keep the sun from bothering you. This place is a lot bigger than you think and you're surrounded by thousands of people pushing and pulling carts. One thing you will also see is a lot of people walking and carrying their dogs. They have plenty of food concessions on the site with everything from barbecue, turkey legs, snow cones, pizzas and hotdogs. There's also a very large seating area with live music located next to the concessions. Despite the parking fiasco, I would definitely recommend adding this place to your bucket list, even if it's just for one visit. Kid and dog friendly with lots of custom made or vintage items to browse through. Closed in January and February. Only open on the first Saturday of each month. Hot but still crowded in the summer. When we went they had over 450 booths/stores set up. There was a great variety of things. I came with the expectation that if I didn't find anything I would at least get my walking steps in. It was like being in an outdoor antique mall. I loved looking at all the different crafts, vintage, and antiques. Looking forward to visiting next month. I recommend going with others to make the drive out and gas consumption worth it. I especially liked the F & D creations and thought their stuff was well curated. Check out the lamp and table we got. A more simified and better organized arts/crafts/antique/collectibles/food/refreshments/plants/aromatherapy/misc choice to walk around, explore and shop. Parking fir $5, very helpful volunteers guiding you to a parking spot, maps available, facilities are clean and accessible. Surprised with a wooden cross given to anyone , to display on your lawn (predrilled and a ribar and flag). Not very healthy options, but a fair variety. It was disappointing to have a hotdogs warm, but the bun cold, yet liked the prices for items to eat. Liked the common eating area with plenty of seating and where ther was live music for entertainment. Yet, if was unavoidable to see alot of "reason separation" throughout with little " intermix". (Not hard to avoid some unwelcome stares from some locals in the eating common area and even few vendors were not as friendly to greet buyers), so instead just go back to more exploration of more booths. It was a welcome surprise to see you could rent carts for $15/ all day to carry your buys and even golf carts that for a $10 donation, could help you load your larger items from the booths and take to your car. An important point-Void hot summer days, if possible. Ring comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing for comfort and walking, bring your own cart/buggy with a cooler with waters; maybe snacks or pack food that you can avoid the non-vegan or undesired fried foods.come early, take your time and you can leave before the heat intensifies or more traffic. Handicapped Friendly. Family Friendly. So Fun! I've only been there once so I was SO EXCITED! Wimberley definitely didn't disappoint! It's like a cute little village & all the villagers are having a yard sale My Grandma uses a wheelchair so I was happy to see some of the little shops had ramps! The bathroom is a tight fit so beware of that. Also it can get very rocky & hilly very quick so beware of that. My Grandmas wheelchair has a seatbelt so we were fine with off roading every now and then We didn't eat there except the kettle corn which was delicious. And the vendors are all so sweet! You can definitely find cute vintage stuff here for those who love thrift shopping. There are a lot of great deals but there are also some super pricey stuff so keep in mind that just because it's set up like a flea market, doesn't necessarily mean everyone will be dirt cheap with their prices (Which is what I was looking forward to lol) But we did find really great deals tho! We found a beautiful barley used Jean Jacket with Tassels for only $20! & some Himalayan crystal Candel holders for only $5 each . So it really depends on the vendor of course. My husband was told about this last year from someone in his motorcycle group. We finally remembered to attend since it is only the first Saturday of the month during specific months of the years. Check out their website for details. It is free to get and there are many booths to check out. You will have to pay for parking which ranged between $3-5. We didn't take the motorcycle due to Texas current rain off and on weather even though it's hot outside. There is a variety of things here to include: folk art lawn art, pictures, LuLaRoe, homemade skincare, Lipsense, clothing, antiques, neon signage, etc. I did see a lot of junk. There is also places to eat, drink while you shop, live music, etc. read more

Yelpers, I am the self proclaimed Market Day expert. I've been going for 34 years. My first visit was when I was 1 month old and I was taking notes....sorta. Here is the list of what you could find at market day Antiques Hand Made Collectibles Jewelry Toys Old Signs Specialty Foods Way Too Much To List You may be asking why three stars? Well, the love is still there but I miss the olden days. They used to feature Smokey Denmark in their sausage wraps. GONE. They used to give you a choice of flour tortilla, white, or wheat bread. GONE. I stopped at my normal concession to get some food only to find out they only serve Fried Catish and Shrimp. If I wanted a wrap at this point; I'd have to walk across the complex to a different concession stand. The menu used to be consistent for all stands.I don't mind the change and the fish is a welcomed addition. I just wish they would serve the sausage wraps at all stands. You can't visit without getting a bag of the kettle corn. There is also free food samples galore. Jellies, rubs, butters, honey, and my favorite Thai Gourmet by Nong. She sells her currys and Thai cucumber salsa. I will continue to go back again and again for bargain hunting. See you on the first Saturday of the month March - December!! read more

If you like fake-tiques, 'rustic' furniture made by a retired dude, home-did yard art, junky sports accessories, word decor, and lot's of jesus junk - this is the place for you! There are few booths with actual "old" stuff, but overpriced. If you are thinking this is a mini Canton, you are sadly mistaken. Mostly just tacky decor. All of which will all show up in your neighborhood Goodwill in 3-5 years. This is the kind of stuff that's sinking people into the hoarding life and storage debt. read more

We went for the first time for their 2019 opening on March 2nd. They are open the first saturday of the month beginning in March. There was parking across the street that was $5 per car, but entrance into the market was free. The Market itself was so vast that we didn't even get through the entire place before we got hungry and cold. There were a lot of vendors ranging from people just trying to get rid of their old things to diy homemade items to beautiful furniture. If you're looking for gifts or items to decorate your new home, you should come check out this place. Overall we really enjoyed walking around and looking at all the vendors. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal that weekend so we decided not to walk through the entire maze, but I would definitely return if I'm free on the weekend they are open! read more

I can't say that I got the full gist of Wimberly Market Days because my family & I arrived during the last 30 minutes. From what we could see at that point, there was still quite a few things folks had to offer. The usual fare of knick knacks, jellies, jams, and even a guy who sold rocks. The only reason why I remember that is because my youngest went through a rock collection phase and the guy was kind enough to just GIVE my son one of his choosing. How sweet!! read more

Solid 4 out of 5 review. Went for my first time this past weekend and loved it. You have a great mix of new and old, hand made and junk. Although I prefer to dig through more junk, its still a great market! I wish it was open more than just one day a month! Since it was the last market day before Christmas, many booths had 50% off everything! Some booths even had 'everything for $1'. What a deal! Sad I have to wait two months to visit again, but I will be back. read more

Wow, why such poor reviews? Market Days, open on the first Saturday of every month, is a fun opportunity to get out of town, enjoy a scenic drive to Wimberley, walk around, enjoy the weather, browse, meet some interesting characters, people watch, shop, and enjoy the day. You can find great prices on antique furniture, plants, lawn art, jewelry, crafts, and pretty much everything else under the sun. Prices are typically less than any fair, festival, or event in Austin. The booths wind around and it's easy to miss things! Take your time, stroll down every path, and see all kinds of interesting things. Pay parking ranges from $3-5. Bring cash. A lot of vendors now take cards, but not all. DO NOT MISS THE KETTLE CORN!!!!! I wish they had more food options, but other than that, Market Days is great fun! read more

Market Days is a great way to spend time with the girls. My mom, sister, and I try to go at least every other month. I recommend arriving early so you can get close parking. In addition, it is not as hot in the morning, so we are able to peruse most all of the vendor spots before it gets too hot. It opens up at 7 a.m. I usually find a couple of unique items which I simply must have for my home. Even if I do not find anything to my liking on a given Market Days, I enjoy the time with my mom and sister. read more

Just gonna write and rate about the food I had there. For lunch, I had a "chopped beef" sandwich and some kind of organic tea, both were bleh. The "chopped beef" was almost a puree, definitely not worth the money. Towards the end of the of my Point B destination (400 area), I had some lemonade, me and my girlfriend both felt like it was just watered down. For the market itself, it's more like a flea market. For those that like the flea market, should be worthy of your time. Another said garage sale, which is just as good of a description. To me, I say junkyard. Really, you'll have to spend time digging through quite a bit of stuff to find what you're looking for in a lot of these shops. There are some specialty shops, metal designs, gemstones, homemade jams, salsas too. The latter two you could just go to a farmer's market instead. Some shops take credit or debit cards, other do not, not sure about checks though since I didn't buy anything. read more

I have been coming to Wimberley Market Days for YEARS, and it has just grown, and grown. They now serve beer...which can be enticing for the men who would rather not go shopping..or even the women who like to drink beer! A good way to spend the day. Wait till cooler weather comes, not a summer time trip. Vendors were mainly antiques and used merchandise. Yes, there was some new merchandise but majority seems to be used. Prices were reasonable. Canton trade day 100% better. read more

People are giving negative reviews based mostly on food? The food is fine. I LOVE market days. I always have a great time there. The first Saturday of each month except for January and February. The Lions Club does the upkeep on this place and it is nicely manicured with huge, beautiful trees to help cool off the Texas heat. You can definitely find all kinds of things at Wimberley Market Days. The old, the new, the "what in the world is that?" There are over 450 vendors. Some are there for the day but some have permanent structures. Give it a try. It is the second biggest trade / market day event in the state. read more
