One time I moved and changed my billing address at the bank. The bank changed the address of everyone with my last name. My family all had to go out of their way to change their address to their own address. Multiple times I have bought something and asked if it was fraud. I acknowledge that it is me shopping and the card is still shut down and my orders blocked. The app never works and the employees at the bank are not able to help you when it does not work. It's so stressful trying to use this bank and unnecessary. I'm done and will be withdrawing all my money at this point

On two occasions I reported fraud on my card one of which they refunded but then said I could not get a new card because I have requested replacements as indicated above for those reasons. Found the manager to be an arrogant coot and now I have to withdraw my money and deposit into my Bank of America account to have the use of a card. BOA is a better choice with many more locations closer to my residence.

While waiting one time for a simple transaction that needed more than a teller I overheard so much personal information from customers that if I wanted to steal someone's identity I might have been able to pull it off. I heard where people work, how much they make, etc because the loan officer sits right there in the open area of the bank; zero privacy! The lack of customer privacy at this location is concerning and if all their locations are designed the same way then I'll never open a loan with this bank ever! I value my pricey and would expect a bank to at least make an effort to enclose me in a room so that I have some privacy. What's that Mr. Loan officer you want my social security number? Sure thing 123-00-4567 (as the guy waiting writes that down), oh and you want my home address...sure thing! All done in a wide open space. A nearby competitor takes customers to a back area of the bank within cubicles that offer semi-privacy but you're still FAR away from the main area of the bank where anyone can take a seat to listen for that perfect info for ID theft. Great bank as far as goods and services offered but terrible privacy practices.

Before i opened my mouth the bank teller looked at me as if I interrupted her during dinner.... the glare and disrespect was unfathomable. As i stated my reason for being there she tells me "those are overdraft fees you are responsible for" the fact that i was a new customer and had only one transaction on my account did not register. We were in need of a notary on a Saturday, and the MHVFCU was the first bank of five that we called that had a real human being answer the phone (off to a good start). They had a notary available (and were open til 2 pm on Saturdays), and not only is the notary's services free for members, but it's also free for non-members! If you're keeping track, that means it's free for everybody. We walked in and the friendly tellers let us know we'd be waiting for Linda in the back, but to help ourselves to a seat and a cup of coffee. For the record, that's nicer than most of my relatives treat me. We waited for a few minutes, and then Linda turned out to be even nicer than the other employees, as well as the branch manager and probably in the top three notaries I've dealt with in my lifetime. You know what? She's #1! I just decided. The only downside of MHVFCU is that I am a bit frightened of the other clientele. It was 8 degrees outside, and my brother and I were the only non-employee males that were wearing full length pants. Sure it was only two other guys, but as we all know, nothing screams mental instability more than being inappropriately dressed for the weather.

I've used this branch of the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union for many, many, years, and I've…read morenever had any problems. They have 2 ATM's, one in the entrance, and one drive-through. They have someone at the front desk to tries to greet you if he or she is not already helping someone. They always have enough tellers available so that even if there is a line, it moves quickly. The last time I got a loan there - albeit quite a few years ago - it went very smoothly.

Mindful, they know it was fraud as per the supervisor convo, who claimed to be powerless until transactions posted. Been with them since they were Fleet Bank in MA. I'm done! Moving all my banking to my fairly strong local credit unions. My concern is that the Fraud Prevention supervisor should not just be another CS agent. They need the tools to resolve the issue in real time, just as the negative balance is reflected in real time (before the transaction posts) when it suits BoA's interests.
