This was my first time at Wally's. I think they were okay. I think they're okay. The staff are friendly and have recommendations readily available if you need them. The service is good. The soft serves are okay: they're just like any soft serve I've had. The one thing I was a little bit annoyed by is their sign saying that they have cookies n' cream flavor soft serve, but turns out they don't. So they gave me vanilla soft serve and put oreo crumbles on top and charged me extra for the Oreo crumbles as a topping. I thought that was a little bit deceiving, and it annoyed me a bit. Overall, I think they're okay. I probably wouldn't come back again just for myself. read more

Came at 2 mins closing not realizing the time. They still served me so that was nice but service was poor. The girl that took my order was nice enough but the other girl had a rude tone and sour expression. They didn't allow my dipped cone to drip long enough so the cone holder was over flowing with chocolate all over my shirt on the first bite. To make things worse she swirled it with butterscotch instead of peanut butter as requested. Gross. Used to love Wallys but atp rather go to a chain. read more

We tried this place once before, but we went right when they were opening. We weren't thrilled that the soft serve did not have time to freeze yet so it was very soupy. We went later in the day this time and the texture was so much better. My kids swirl cone and strawberry nachos. I opted for the s'mores milkshake. I love that This is one of the few places that does swirled ice cream. The pretty swirl it makes while adding the flavor is just so nostalgic for me. Ice cream nachos were one of the most unique things we've tried in a while. I love the little dipping waffle cone pieces. It was delicious. I also loved the milkshake because the toasted marshmallow ice cream was really good. I had her add chocolate and graham crackers which was really good, but I would probably forego the chocolate next time because it slightly overpowered the really nice marshmallow ice cream. It would have been amazing too with just the graham cracker. The service wasn't bad, we were second in line and got our ice cream pretty quickly. Not much ambiance to speak of, you order at the takeout window (much like a similar chain ice cream place) and then they do have a handful of picnic tables around back, so that is cool when you don't want ice cream melting in your car. We will definitely be back, probably to split more of the cool nachos. read more

I'm gonna start off and say that I don't mind a line at all, I don't mind a wait! The problem I have with Wally's is what I saw today, 1 poor girl, keeping her chin up and trying to hold the whole place together by herself, on Mother's Day, in the afternoon, on a 91 degree day!! She had a great attitude even with the steady 12 person line!! How dare the owner leave her alone to run that place by herself!!! If someone called out, I don't care about the situation, you need to either close or go down there and help her!! read more

Found this little gem a few years ago. It's located behind the Walgreens in Chester. Cute little shop. No eat in available but they have outside tables. The chocolate custard is amazing. It reminds me of back home where frozen custard stands were everywhere. Hard to find them here. Custard is creamier than ice cream. If Wally's Sweet Spot doesn't convert you into a conehead, nothing will! I was seriously hankering for a soft serve cone with a twist, and Wally's quelled my craving! I got the kiddie cone, smaller than the small, but it was still way more than I expected. A generous serving for about 2$! Can't beat that!! There's more than soft serve though; Wally's serves sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits and more! I was Blown away by the cone cover with the collar to catch drips! Genius! Wally's is a walk-up and order at the window shop but there are lots of shaded tables behind the store and another one in front. I was served in a pleasant manner and got my heavenly cone lickety split! Parking is convenient in this shopping center but I'm sure it will be packed this summer! Definitely one of the coolest joints around... I'll be a frequent customer here and next time I'm going all out and getting SPRINKLES!! read more

Milk shakes are really thin, they can't put more than 2 fruits in it or else they say it's too liquidy. The shakes are ok. I like mine thick to eat with a spoon so they are good with the brownies mixes in. The ice cream by itself is very soft , not a strong vanilla or chocolate flavor but it still hits that soft serve craving. The thing that keeps me away except for really bad cravings is the price. $7 (I wish I was exaggerating) for a cone is the most I've ever paid for soft serve. If they were more affordable I would stop a few times a week vs 3 times a year. I upped my order once I saw a CHOCOLATE waffle cone, def something new! Kids cones run about $3, it is so delicious and worth it. They can change the flavor of the soft serve and they can hand dip into hard shell. My favorite is butterscotch soft serve with a butterscotch hard shell. My son likes the cotton candy hard shell. Our family has made it a summer tradition to go to the public library for the summer reading program and then go to Wally's for ice cream after. They are so close to each other. read more

My sister and I went to Wally's Sweet Spot in Chester last night for milk shakes. All the lights were on, the open signs were flashing but no one was there. We walked around the building, and still there was no one. It struck us as a little peculiar, and we began to think something was wrong. I decided to knock on the window to see if I could hear anything inside, and to my surprise a woman flew around the corner, slung open the window and yelled "Do you mind". We were horrified! We sort of just stood there with our mouths open, not believing how she was acting. Once I got over the shock, I said to her "Here we are thinking the person working here was robbed and locked in a freezer or something, and you come out screaming at us like that? It's a little rude, don't you think?" She replied "Well you were banging on the glass! Do you want to order something or not?" I said, "Absolutely not, but I would like to speak to your manager". She aggressively stuck out her hand as if to shake my hand, and said "Hi, my name is VANNY, and I AM the manager." I couldn't believe it! I had never been treated so disrespectful in all my life and I let her know! If she needed to use the restroom, why wouldn't she just put a sign up that says, "be back in 15 minutes." I mean, we were genuinely worried about her wellbeing! I just feel like VANNY was unprofessional, disrespectful and downright RUDE. As a business owner myself, I wouldn't want someone like her representing my company! I will say that my family and I will never go back to Wally's Sweet Spot after this, and I do intend to let the owners of the business know about VANNY'S rude, disrespectful and unprofessional behavior in their establishment. read more

Hi! First of all I LOVE your ice cream, however I am disappointed in the inconsistency of the shop's hours. This is only one example, but last night at 7pm I saw your hours on Facebook were till 9pm, but when I called, no one answered. The answering machine said your hours are everyday till 9pm. Tonight, we have visitors in town from PA, and we arrived at 8:10pm, and your shop is closed. The winter hours are posted outside the shop as 8pm closing time, but it's not winter. The crew in the shop said you close at 8, but again, answering machine says 9pm. This is only one of about 6-7 times this has happened, which makes your customers frustrated and you are losing out on business from locals who LOVE your ice cream. I realize one customer lost isn't that big of a deal but I also can't imagine I'm the only one experiencing this frustration. read more

Their ice cream bowls and milkshakes are phenomenal. The servers there are very nice and hard working. I sometimes visit my Nana and Papa's house and the location is very convenient because it's only a couple minutes away from their house. I think it's fitting that the location is built like an old food shack and I like that it's known as a "Sweet Spot" in its name. read more

99% sure I got food poisoning from their Strawberry and Banana Milk Shake. Party of seven went by for ice cream. The five that got ice cream loved it. The two that got shakes experienced stomach cramping all day. I woke up at 5am to what felt like a stomach full of thumb tacks.
