This Wal-Mart has got to be the worst Wal-Mart I have ever gone to. Shelves are completely unorganized, none of the employees speak english!! I asked an employee were something was and they had noooooooo clue what I was saying just pointed their finger in a direction.. which was in the wrong direction of the store, the section I was looking for was on the other end.. I got so frustrated I just left.. I will never come here again, and I advise people to go elsewhere too. I will rather travel to go to another Wal-Mart then come to this one ever again! read more

Try calling the store to speak with the store manager or assistant manager regarding a bad experience... you will be placed on hold for a long period.. Called into the main line to Kingstowne, VA store ask if they sold a product line in the store. It is sold on-line, but I needed to purchase immediately. The first call someone said they would transfer me and hung up. I called back, someone again answered me and hung up. I called again and it rang for 4 minutes before going to a message saying "your call is important to us...continue to hold". After the fourth call, and again being hung up on, I tried the pharmacy dept. Someone in this dept. at least acknowledged that was poor to have been handled in such a way. They were willing to page someone for the floor check on the item. I did not know if it was something they could do, but hoped it would save me the several miles drive and time. The worse part was to not get an answer from the beginning. A simple "no, we can't check the floor for the product line", would have been much better than being hung up on four times. THIS AUTO CARE CENTER IS DYING!! I want to auto care center at 4:30 for oil Change, on my arrival there was a lady who is working at the customer service desk and i asked her how many cars were waiting for oil change, she said there were 3 cars ahead of me and also I asked her how long am i going to wait and she said approximately 2 hours then I decided to wait 2 hours to get my car oil change done there.I started to walk inside the store and on my way I bought some staff from the store. after 2 hours waiting and going around I came back to the service desk I found another guy on the desk .When I look through the window to the garage there was no cars and mechanics inside and I though that my car oil change was done.I asked the guy is my car oil change done, he said not yet,even he said there are 2 cars ahead of you, i told him when i came here at 4:30 there were 3 cars ahead of me and now its 6:30 and neither cars nor mechanics are in the garage,how comes that you are telling me two cars ahead of me,he said that what I can see in the computer, and he said wait here.I was not able to believe him that there will be 2 cars ahead of me since i waiting 2 hours already.I waited another 2 hours and still my car was not started yet.I went to the mechanic directly and told him that i have been waiting here for four hours and my car is not started yet,what is going on here? he asked me to show him the bar code number of my receipt and he said there were 6 cars that we changed oil in front of your car, still there is 1 car ahead of you. The staff that work at the customer service desk at this location are THE WORST!!! They are rude and completely unhelpful! I would rather sit on a toilet seat on fire then deal with the customer service department at this Walmart because no matter who you get they're ALL BAD! The lovely experience I had today was with some gum chewing skank, I bought a laptop for my daughter for her Christmas and I haven't even owned it for 30 days, but their return policy on electronics is 15 days period and instead of explaining any of this to me she tells me she won't return it and then I asked her what am I supposed to do and she tells me to throw it in the trash if it doesn't work. Then I ask for a manager or supervisor waited around for 10 minutes for one to show up never did found out because she never called one. Because she didn't want me to report her nasty ass attitude. But believe me I will go up the corporate ranks if I have to to make sure that she is held accountable for her nasty "customer service skills." Kingstowne Walmart is the worst I've been to. I ordered tires online...when I tried to pick them up and get them installed, the tire center sent me to the site to store counter. There I learned that only three of four tires were available. After waiting in a very long line served by one person who frequently disappeared, I proceeded to obtain a refund so I could look for other tires. Returning to the tire center, I found my car on the lift with the tires being removed! Turns out someone couldn't count...the tire center had all four tires and had started to install them. So I then had to repurchase them or have my old tires reinstalled. Did I mention it was dirty and the staff rude and untrained? Only one guy installing tires seemed at all competent. read more

Avoid! This is a 4D store: a dirty, disorganized, dated, dumpster fire. I ordered a couple of video games online on Cyber Monday. At most stores when you order online and it's in-stock, you can pick up pretty quickly. Not here. I ordered at noon Monday and got a pick up email at 9:30am on Tuesday. I followed the instructions and "checked in" to the pick up from home which is supposed to decrease your wait time. I live about 20 minutes from the store. I arrived and the store was as dirty as I remembered - it's not a renovated store, it's a slapdash updated store. It has the dim lights and dingy floors and generally feels gross. Because it's just had random updates, the floor plan makes no sense. The express pick up is on the back wall of the store - the entry to the warehouse and where staff is coming and going. It's a hike from the front door - nothing express about it. There were a bunch of staff working in the pick up area, three were helping one customer with a basic order. I checked in at the kiosk when I arrived since no one was going to pay any attention anyway. From there it was another 25+ minutes before my order was in my hands. I'd say the whole pick up experience was a dumpster fire. Only one staff person had any idea what was going on, I watched them print an enormous batch of orders that were backlogged. And they were trying to do way too many jobs. The area was cluttered with random crap. The orders were piled on shelves and in file drawers and in the back in lockers and the staff had no clue where anything was. I had planned to pick up a couple other items at the store, but as I wandered out of that dystopia I didn't want to think about trying to figure out the mishmash of floorplans in the store (a random aisle of fridge is in the middle of the store) to attempt to find anything worthwhile. Don't get me wrong -- pretty much everything about this store sucks (the lack of parking, the overwhelming number of foreigners in there ALL the time, the poor customer service) BUT, the tire/lube guys who work outside (on the right side of the building) are awesome! I'm not talking about the automotive section *inside* the store, they suck just as much as the rest; but the mechanics *outside* the store, in the garage. They're great. I've taken my car there 3 times (for tires, battery, and an engine test) and each time they were extremely helpful and friendly. They might be rude to each other (maybe they're just clowning around?) but their definitely professional and quick and courteous to their customers. I won't go to this Walmart for any other reason but I will definitely continue to go there for the tire/lube work because those guys go above and beyond. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered from WalMart.com for a pickup same day, got the email to pick it up, then I get there and no one was available to help me. Then when someone does come to help she can't find my order. She asked for assistance and the next person couldn't find it either. I waited close to 20 minutes and eventually had to take a restroom break because i waited so long! Then I came back and the girl proceeds to tell me they don't have my order. Well how wonderful that i get a confirmation email and leave my home to drive in the snow and nasty roads to get there and my orders not there? So of course I ask for a manager. Well out comes Fran who turned out to be the least helpful person I've ever met. She tells me that their "on hand" stock is wrong and they actually don't have my order. My response? "This is why I don't shop at WalMart." Her response you ask? "well with your attitude why should I even help you?" I'm in customer service and let me tell you the customer is always right--even when they're wrong! And the number one rule is to kill them with kindness--not point out to a clearly frustratetd woman that she has an attitude problem! So I strutted my angry self up front and waited another 20 minutes for a manager who turned out to be helpful. My biggest problem: when I stated my problem and that Fran was the source of my frustration, all 5 people I talked to while waiting for the manager were sympathetic and responded something along the lines of "ya, i've heard about her acting that way before." So I ask why someone who clearly hates their job continues to grace us WalMart shoppers with their presence? Be grateful you even have a job in this economy--don't jeopardize your job becuase you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided getting smart with a customer who pays your salary by shopping in your store! Such a horrible experience. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. In the morning I bought 12 Quarts of Mobil1 oil for my two cars, but I ended up using 9. My original receipt was drench in oil so I threw it away. Upon making a return, an Indian/Bengali associate (named Syed) assisted me, he purposely opened one bottle of Mobil1 and yelled at me "You can't return this since this is open!" I kindly told him I did not open that bottle, and I promised that I did not open it. He kept on yelling at me saying that I opened it and proceeded to inspect/open the other bottles. It's was weird and funny how he treated the female customer before me, with kindness and sincere. He returned an open bottle of protein shake for her and even offered to throw her bag away. He didn't even open her bottle! If that's the type of customer service he was been providing for the last 5 years then he should be fired. read more

I've gotten oil changes done at this Walmart twice before and they've always been quick and convenient. You just park your car in the line and someone comes out and asks what service you need before putting in your service request and taking your keys. This morning I pulled up, first in line. There were some guys already working on a car in the garage so I figured one of them would eventually come out. Thirty minutes later a car pulls up behind me and the lady goes inside. I thought about following her in to see if someone inside could help me but since I was first in line I decided to just wait for them to come out. Fifteen minutes later someone does come out....to get the car behind me, back it all the way back out of the lane, and takes it into the garage. When I go inside to talk to someone at the desk, they say they have no greeter today and that it'd be 45 minutes for an oil change. I told him since I had already waited 45 minutes outside I did not have an additional 45 to waste. It was very frustrating, especially since the workers inside saw me waiting there all that time. They never came out and said anything, even when one of them came out to get the car behind me. read more

This store is a nightmare. I wish I could give it zero stars. For starters, it's old, outdated and gross. Not to mention they are constantly restocking and blocking the aisles. And despite the restocking, they never have much of what I need in stock. In addition, no one there knows where anything is. Two employees didn't even know what a "bandana" was. So frustrating! That being said, I had a horrible experience there today. I bought a TON of stuff. And had 5 coupons from Sunday's paper. I told her BEFORE she began ringing that I had coupons. When I handed them to her at the end, she refused to scan them, telling me they had some new policy and to read about it on the paper clipped to the check out area. I explained they were all valid, unexpired coupons for items I purchased. She refused to even attempt to scan them and proceded to call the manager. Then, they actually made me dig through 15 bags of items to find one Children's Advil and 2 Softsoaps because they didn't believe I had them. I asked if they could just review the register but they looked at me like I was insane. The manager was rude beyond words, kept telling the cashier "it's okay, it's okay" never apologizing to me once. I finally found the items and the manager said "Well, this isn't our fault, it's your fault." Then told me for some reason she needed to call the manufacturers. There's a lot more to the story, but I don't want to bore anyone. It was literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced I'd rather pay more and just shop at the grocery store. Basic Wal-mart with no bells and whistles. Stocked up good and you'd be able to find pretty much everything that you can expect from a Wal-mart. However, if you are a female shopper your shopping experience will be completely thrown off because of the constant and creepy staring from an employee who goes by the name Ishaq. If you shop there just once this may not be a problem but if you shop there often, this will happen to you every single time you are there. He even tried cat calling once. This Walmart is the worst place on the planet. I won't get into the Walmartians at this place as the people who shop here can't really be considered any fault of the store. However, the three employees I happen to have interaction with as well as another 2-3 that I watched NOT help a family were extremely rude and exceptionally condescending to customers who were simply asking for an online pickup order. I would have asked for a manager, but then I realized he was standing there watching his fellow employee's lack of common courtesy to fellow humans l, much less have any comprehension of customer service. I literally watched an employee use a box holding another customer's online order to stand on so he could reach my order while it crushed under his significant heft, he dropped my item as well as two others from about 6'. I have had the WORST experience with Walmart hands down!! From online order service, in-store service, and customer care is a joke!!! I ordered a bedroom set online and had it shipped to my closest walmart location. Once the items arrived and not all at the same time retrieving the items was also a nightmare. Employees could not locate the items, waited over an hour and the items still weren't signed out correctly. I had to make two more trips and each time had the same experience. When I contacted their customer service to get one of the items refunded because I refuse to deal with going through picking up another item I was disconnected 3 separate times. When finally getting a hold of a person she said she would email the store or I could go to the store to get a refund. I explained to her why would I want to step foot in your store again after the experience I just explained to you and her answer was i will email the store manager to do your refund. When i asked how long before i receive my refund she stated whenever the Store manager receives the email and does the refund. I was so appalled I emailed their customer service team and here it is almost 3 weeks later and still received no response from any Walmart representative and just today received my refund. Never again will I use any Walmart store and will be cancelling my newly opened WALMART CARD. I have a HUGE issue with this location! I am a fan of late night trips to Walmart, it is true. However, their fish section upsets me every single time I go. Some would ask why I don't just steer clear of this department...well, if you know me then you are aware that I can not ever stay away from anything animal-related especially when it comes to an animal in need. Sadly, this location sells the Green Spotted Puffer fish. This adorable little guys need brackish water as they get older and CAN NOT be fed fish flakes. They need bloodworms, etc. Everytime I go there they are on the brink of death...emaciated..I end up feeding them something even if it isn't exactly what they need. Or I end up coming home with all of them to nurse back to health or at the very least give them the right conditions, food, and safety they deserve with the time they have left. (Walmart puts them in with other fish and the GSPs often have bite marks on them especially while they are dying). I always leave a note for the staff on what to feed them- like some overbearing PETA member with nothing better to do- and I speak with management. One time the manager took what I had to say seriously and stopped ordering this breed for a handful of months....even though I may have spoken to management about 10 times. Recently I saw that they began stocking these little guys again and immediately spoke to a new manager...after feeding them and leaving a note:) Hopefully they will stop selling them.....the mistreatment and abuse is heartbreaking. read more

So I went in to buy some beeswax, originally to make some chapstick. I came to Walmart because when you watch videos on youtube they always say they have it at walmart. There are not many employees and most of them can't understand English which is HORRIBLE!!! I asked various employees but they either didn't understand English or said they didn't have it or didn't know where it was. But I got my phone and went to walmart.com to show them what beeswax was but they still didn't understand!!! Also when we went in the bathroom there was poop on the stall wall, which didn't suprise me. I tried the green pump soap which looked like it was a brand name (this was in the bathroom) but it was just green dishwasher detergent. Long lines as well and not many cashiers. And when we were walking in the store there was a strong smell of poop in the food/ pharmacy aisles. So overall, not really clean, not helpful employees, and dirty bathroom. read more

Tire & Lube Center Review: On Sep 4, 2016 I dropped off my truck to have two tires replaced under Walmart's Road Hazard Warranty. After a six hour wait I thanked the technician but having watched him work I was suspicious as to why it took him so long on the first tire but he completed the second in quick order. I asked him: "Two new tires, right?" His response: "Yes, and the others look good." Perhaps he was confused by my question but imagine my own confusion when I found neither tire was replaced. One tire had been taken off, re-installed, wheel scratched, greasy finger prints added, and the hub cover was missing. Upon asking for a manager I was greeted by the customer service supervisor. When we jointly inquired the tech stated that he was only to repair one flat tire. I find it curious that he did not think to question why he was "repairing" a non-flat tire or think that he should bring someone's attention to the fact that two tires have side wall separation (the reason I was there). The collective team recommended I return the following day but one gentleman did think to say, "Perhaps we should check to see if the tires are in stock." I had to giggle at this suggestion. After all, no quality establishment would have me wait six hours to have two tires replaced if they did not have the tires on hand...right?...right? The assistant manager, Brian, was on duty and sympathetic. He offered to have my spare installed for safety but to be honest, I did not want the same tech working on my truck again. Brian also offered the option of a Walmart gift card as compensation if I chose to buy tires somewhere other than Walmart. Walmart is now going to "steal" tomorrow from me when I should be writing papers for the master's degree I am pursuing while working full time. I must now decide whether to save time by remaining local, buy tires myself and accept a gift card knowing the only thing I want from Walmart is two new tires; or I can put the spare on myself in order to drive on the interstate to another Walmart location perhaps an hour or more away...and get in line again. I am still awaiting a call back from Brian to confirm which location has tires in stock but given hours have passed I am left wondering if that will occur. Again I giggle at the thought of changing my spare tire as it makes me recall another experience at this same store. On Jan 17, 2016, I had a different tire replaced but the new tire leaked. Upon arriving home it possessed 12 psi. After attempting to pump it up and observing over the course of time I realized it was not going to hold air. I then had to install my spare tire. Upon returning to Walmart I was instructed to get back in the queue although the problem I was experiencing was completely due to Walmart's fault. Update to the Tire & Lube experience from Sep 4, 2016: Brian the assistant manager did make contact with the store located in Front Royal who had tires in stock. Although I was the one that spent time locating the tires, I appreciate Brian's follow through to ensure I was taken care of quickly. I drove over an hour to get there but upon arrival I was put at the top of the queue and service was expedited. This does not change the fact that the Tire & Lube folks at Kingstowne could benefit from some additional (deliberate) job specific and customer service training. read more

I returned to the store since this store is my nearest store, And I talked to the assistance Manger whose name is David. He is 100% unmanagerial and not willing to listen. He came and said if another person say NO why I would say YES. I try to explain to him his more responsible than others. He completely ignored me and came back without a good response. This Walmart is the worst. I'll never come back here again. Went in to for site-to-store pick up and it took my husband and I 30mins to get someone to get our order. It was paid for already online so we really only needed to pick it up. 3 different associates came by called/paged overhead for someone to come help us and nobody came until finally my husband found another woman to come. It took her 2 seconds get it from the back and ring us up. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that we had to wait that long just to get someone to the counter!
