This Walmart is pretty small but pretty good food so I'm not mad is Walmart so what do you really expect?

I'm 78 and have frequented many Walmart's in the US. This is absolutely the worse Walmart i've ever been to. There was virtually zero in grocery options in meat, dairy, vegetables etc. etc. The other clothing, auto, toiletries were better but the store was cluttered and poorly maintained. The store could also be cleaner. If you are shopping for any food products, do not waste your time here, find another Walmar. read more

Convenient location with an abundance of parking. It can get quite busy. Luckily I went while it was not busy. I found what I needed quickly and was on my way. Prices were good. read more

As I didn't find the right design of tshirt in the last Walmart, I'm here in Altamonte Springs to see. And yes, this one was in better shape and they did not have clothes scattered everywhere. I've been to much worse Walmarts in my time and this one is decent. On the minus side, they've eliminated just about every register and switched them to self-checkout. That's fine with a couple of times, but when I might have a trolley full it's a pain. To be honest, I haven't bought more than a couple of things from a Walmart in a long while. Little known fact about Paul's Yelping (like you care): you never see me check-in at a Walmart. It's not that I don't shop there (I do - infrequently to say the least), or that I am "ashamed" that I patronize a branch of the evil empire (I am, a bit)... it's both of those two reasons, and more importantly, I don't care for Walmart. Yesterday, I deliberately checked in, just so that I can expound on my Walmart antipathy with this review. The big 'W' purports to benefit the little guy while being the biggest of corporations, and that's just hypocrisy personified. Never mind their notoriety in being crappy to workers, bullying suppliers: closer to the truth than "looking out for the common men and women" is the way Walmart rakes in their billions of profits exactly by taking advantage of the little guys, the ones who can least afford to be ripped off. Their 'low price' brand image is as cleverly built as it is deceitful. And nowhere is this more true than in their produce department. They recognize that the frazzled working couples or the single parents don't have the luxury to stop at more than one place for all their shopping needs - so they take advantage of that, and gouge unabashedly. Carefully compare their prices, and you'll see they are as expensive as, say, Publix (not exactly spelled "b-a-r-g-a-i-n") is with their produce. Walmart produce price labels are so small and hidden maybe because they want to hide how outrageous these prices can be. Furthermore, they mislead with their deceptive pricing ways. I saw bananas last Saturday that were pretty ugly looking (thought they were dwarf plantains), with a big sign that said "33 cents". So I thought they must be getting rid of a bad batch with a good price - till I realized these ugly bananas were priced per piece. I think they're less than that, but let's pretend the bananas are 7 oz. each; that works out to be 75 cents a lb! It just so happens I went into Aldi next, where bananas were, indeed, 33 cents, a lb. So, yeah I will use a Walmart from time to time when I have a very specific need (and maybe that, too, is hypocrisy, after bashing them?) Just don't expect to see me check in. read more

Let's talk about this Walmart for a minute, and my background: I worked for Walmart during my high school years, and I have friends in the delivery / grocery route business. This store, as someone said, does have a bit of a weird vibe, and I know exactly why: This store was converted to a Supercenter from an old D1 store. You know, the Walmarts that everyone used to shop at before Supercenters were built. The ceilings are lower in the non-grocery area. This place is well-stocked, clean, and the associates are kind and friendly. It covers almost an entire block. It's the biggest Walmart I've ever been in. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it. Shop here without hesitation. I am kind of upset that this store is rated so poorly. Think about that when leaving your reviews, because I almost didn't shop here today, and it would have been my very great loss. read more

if your disabled and want to feel worthless, like you don't matter, and want to be ignored and treated like your shopping issues don't matter then go here other than that stay away from this place and if your a service dog handler then definitely stay away if I could give negative stars I'd give it -100. This place is horrible and their handicap parking is always filled with carts so you can't park anywhere and they don't have any van accessible parking labeled. Also they tend to put a lot of what would be considered needful for the disabled community is on the highest shelf or the highest rack and don't even bother trying to ask for help it'll take 40+ minutes to get help. The road is absolutely atrocious so if you have a power wheelchair do not come. Update. I went in today to return something and someone had walked in with a dog in a cart and the employees let theM in and where encouraging it! The only one that took problem with it was the manager and told her not to do it again but all the employees where puppy eyed with this dog and EVEN HELD THE LEASH FOR THE OWNER AFTER IT GOT OUT OF THE OWNERS GRIP! I showed clear disgust and the employees tried to side with the person with a pet. It was discussing and repulsive. I am never stepping foot in that Walmart again. This is absolutely disputing letting a dog in a cart and repulsive. I am ashamed to ever step foot in there. read more

The location of this Walmart store is great however from my perspective, it could be way cleaner as I find this store's floors to be extremely dirty and sticky. Also it's currently being remodeled, which means things are often being moved around and there is a lack of signage or incorrect signage in the aisles to find the things you are looking for. Also I want more cashiers!! The Scan & Go counters suck. Another pet peeve here is that the ladies bathrooms were in such a bad state of affairs. Smelly and with two loo stalls out of order. They need to have more people going and checking the bathrooms for cleanliness. I'm only giving the extra star because Helen in the ladies section is a total sweetheart. If you are in the area and need an item that a smaller Walmart would carry, this is a good place to get it. Like most locations, parking is nightmarish and the crosswalk is always filled with people coming in and out so be prepared to wait. It's in a shopping center so it is convenient that there are other stores and restaurants in the same locale. The grocery section is limited as this is not a super Walmart. Self-checkout is the prevalent way to check out now. read more

Refused service, tried to buy a computer this morning and told someone is having a meeting in the room and to come back in an hour. Couldn't wait an hour and shouldn't have to. Told by employees that no one, including the manager was allowed in the room. Frustrating and perplexed. This store compared to the Casselberry store, this Walmart gives off a weird "vibe" that I wouldn't go again. A vibe in which a undercover cop was outside of the Walmart (which I never seen before), so I'm guessing they have some sort of "stuff" going on in this location (either stolen merchandise or homeless people, I have no idea). I ordered online and for some reason my order didn't want to go to the Casselberry store so I had to pick it up here. For one, the "Pick Up" location is literally in the back of the store where the shoes are. Why? Why not put it in the front the store? lol. Employee who helped me was great and staff are helpful as well. The only thing that turns this location a 3-star is the cleanliness both inside of the store and outside. read more

Walmart membership has the worst customer service and sales tactics so stick to Amazon. I purchased a Vizio 55-in TV that said it was a bundle with a sound bar and so I just moved to Florida. Ordered it on the 18th and my sister took it in. I just arrived March 25th and to my surprise there was no soundbar and on top of that I paid $498.40 and the TV was reduced at $398.00 I should have took a picture screenshot and so they wouldn't even adjust the price to $398 so I will never shop online at Walmart. I love Walmart's prices, but dislike just about everything else about Walmart, including its long lines, limited selection, and unfriendly, unhelpful customer service. Two things set this Walmart apart from its peers such as the Mount Dora Walmart. First, this Walmart store either carries more plus sizes or has more in stock. Second, this Walmart store's customers are more blue collar, more diverse, and much more friendly. Several times when I have failed to find a plus size item at Walmart in Mount Dora, I have come here and found it. For example, I love Walmart's seasonal t-shirts which are inexpensive ($5-$7.50) and are usually cute. However, I often have difficulty getting the pattern and sizes my family needs at the Mount Dora store. I am more successful here. If I can't get friendly staff, I'll take friendly customers. We need to stick together! I have both asked another customer for assistance at this store successfully and been asked by other customers for help or opinions. Additionally, I receive more frequent casual smiles, pleasant comments while passing in the aisles, and had more conversations with customers while in long lines, which helps time to pass quicker, than at other stores. read more

I tried to call Walmart to speak about an order I made online. I have been trying I get in contact with a representative from my local Walmart several times and have been on hold several times! This is the longest I had to wait to speak to a representative from that store. They never want to speak to the customers on the phone. We have shopped a few times at this Wal-mart in the Electronics department and I must say the employees in this department are very friendly and very helpful. In particular, a big thumbs up to Julio. He waited on us today and about a week ago and I was very impressed with his knowledge, friendliness, patience, and the fact that he went out of his way to answer any questions and to help us out. And this was during the Christmas rush! I would return to shop here in the electronics department for the fact that employees like this truly do make the shopping experience a pleasure. If you shop at this store ask for Julio. He's an exceptional employee and I sincerely hope Wal-mart recognizes what a valuable employee they have in him. read more

Walmart and Walmart + is horrible the deliveries can not get worked out correctly they do t have drivers available and the orders arrive late or canceled the ice cream and cold food are warm when they arrive and the 800 phone service is horrible cancel the order your funds take days to appear back in your account and Walmart customer care is nonexistent. the Walmart + delivery is an epic fail Walmart should leave delivery to the pros like Kroger or Amazon customer service is not an sera walma has any experience in unless it's poor service. I assure you Walmart plus is not worth the money and Walmart will never get another penny from me. I discoverered Kroger does a better job delivering on time cheaper prices everything comes still cold or frozen and there is no tupping the professional Kroger driver because kroget pays a living wage. This Walmart is my last resort as it is just down the street and I generally go somewhere else that's nice. The first bad experience was when I first moved here and they had no desire to help me find anything or help grabbing something from another area. The staff in unbelievably lazy and rude in this store.I do not think I've gone into this store one time to it being organized or clean. What can I say about Walmart? I love the store, any of them. You just can't find better prices without shopping online. I've been coming to this store forever. What I don't buy at Sam's I buy at Walmart. Some things I just don't want in that huge size, so I will get the smaller one here. Sometimes I find some items are actually a better deal at Walmart than at Sam's. I mostly come to this location for the garden center or if I'm in the area. For the most part I find the store organized & it has a good shopping flow. It's hit or miss with customer service but that's normal for this type of store. There are always a good amount of registers open so you don't have to stand in line forever. The customer service desk seems to flow fairly quick & smoothly for returns. The parking can be a bit difficult at this location because there is quite a few popular stores in this plaza. read more

It's Walmart. It's not really a Supercenter so I don't expect much from them as far as groceries, but they do have frozen food isles, basic breakfast foods like eggs, bacon, etc, snacks, breads, & wiiine. I normally come in for the 4lb bag of tilapia which is between $10 & $11, & their cheap wine, Oak Leaf, which is always about $2.98. Their customer service desk is pretty helpful, though I've only ever used them to transfer money. There will almost always be boxes in the isles, and you WILL wait in a long line to purchase your​ items, just like any other Walmart with 30 cash registers but only 4 open. They also have decent priced cosmetics. I have a bajillion lip & eye colors that I've purchased from this Walmart that I just love! read more

The aisles are too crowded which can cause a safety hazard. Need groceries don't go here. Their frozen/cold section is about 3 coolers and that's it. Not sure how this is under the Walmart brand with the lack of inventory. I mean, what can I say...it's Walmart. The website devoted to the people who shop at Walmart exists for a reason & this location, although it is in a lovely area has some really interesting folks strolling up & down the aisles. The parking lot is incredibly busy at this location & it is pertinent that people pay attention when trying to back up out of their spot & try to maneuver their way out back on to the main road SR 434. Regardless, the prices are always the best & they do truly beat their competitors' prices when it comes to every day items & you can find just about anything & everything. I bought the coolest mesh inflatable raft for the pool for $15 the other day & it is truly awesome!! It's much easier to lay out in the scorching hot summer sun here in FL when you're in the water!! I also bought toothpaste, tanning lotion, Dramamine so I can go fishing way out where the seas are much more choppy, and eye drops for allergies. The prices really can't be beat & I know my mother gets all of my father's medicine at the pharmacy because they are also a great price. Even though it feels like a carnival sometimes inside, it is a decent store. It's easy to see that it is well staffed & people who work there seem to be genuinely happy so that is always a nice thing to experience when shopping. read more
