Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

This is my go to Publix, nearest one to home and it has its pluses and negatives. While the parking is a large one, even includes two spaces for the now available scheduled pickups it can be a bit frustrating getting a spot. Can people please respect the scheduled pick up parking which they should NOT put their cars?! Inside the supermarket the aisles are well organized and maintained with the typical fruits and veggies, poultry and meats, all kinds of snacks and deli plus bakery. Plenty of cashiers to get you through but it's rare every one of the lines is open. They usually have enough for peak times. The building seems to have the older feel to it but it's a good sized Publix which carries a lot of variety. read more

This is one of the smaller Publix I've seen, but the experience was no less satisfying. ++ One of the best supermarket delis ever, and their subs are superb! The smokehouse style baked beans are spectacularly delicious. Clean aisles and clear signs. This is my least favorite Publix in the area. Parking is terrible. It takes forever to get your order at the deli, and when I did finally get it, the order was wrong. I'm not sure why I have issues at this one at none of the others but it happens every time. Also, it's dark in here and also very small. It seems old and I would rather drive an extra couple of miles to go to another location. My friend had a racist encounter with one of the cashiers and he was very upset. I would advise management to work on at least the customer service if nothing else. And in the meantime, find yourself another Publix to shop at. read more

Stopped by the store to pick up filled prescription(strep sucks), needed some chicken noodle soup, told the deli lady I did not want to contaminate the utensils, she promptly took her gloves oof, rewashed her hands, came around the counter and graciously served me the soup. Man behind me has no mask Publix employee standing there sanitizing cart doesn't say anything I said I thought you weren't allowed in without a mask they just shrug , This is Not fault of Publix but then standing in line for rx man in front of me pulls his mask down to cough. I stopped here as needed some milk. Couldn't find the Maple Hill brand so ended up getting Organic Valley instead. I was at this location just a bit after 6pm and for a total of 9 registers, there were 4 open at this peak time. Cashier was quick and helpful but special shout-out to Elias in Customer Service who was very courteous and charming and just for my fantastic interaction with him, this Publix gets an extra star! Oh btw, there were 3 ladies loo stalls but the bath tissue location was at this weird high location at the back. You had to twist your upper body to get to it. Really very weird design... It's a little out of my way, which is why I'm just an infrequent visitor. This is an older Publix, but as with most of them, it's neat and tidy, with mostly friendly and helpful folks. I've noticed lately that Publix as a whole is touting a lot more Buy-One-Get-One-Free deals (It's NOT BOGO, peeps - where's the deal if you buy one and only GET one?) Perhaps it's to compensate for some of the more challenging prices they have on some items. One thing I'd advise - do NOT buy 'fresh' oysters here, or any super market for that matter. I can not believe I am the first person to review this Publix, nice store and busy with a small parking lot and plenty of business near by including a pizza place. The store is old but has been remodeled a few times and fixed inside and out. They just recently moved some stuff around inside and it looks good. So how do you rate a grocery store? Difficult indeed. However, I chose to give 5 stars for this place because its' management was prepared for hurricane like no other place !!! They had generator running. Food fresh. And fully staffed store one day after the storm. Great job guys! That's what really matters! This is the worst Publix I have ever been in. The seafood department is always MIA and then you're greeted with someone who has a bad attitude. The deli is a joke, we were asked very rudely "what did you want?" By a woman with an attitude even though we just arrived and hadn't exchanged any words. The deli assistant manager even seemed pretty rude and indifferent towards us. I avoid this Publix at all costs unless I'm ever in the mood to feel like I'm inconveniencing workers by asking for their assistance. read more

I think Tom's review on the Casselberry Publix Super Market was spot on. . . great location, ample parking, typical Publix layout with moderately higher prices than you would find in other supermarkets. I frequent this Publix quite often, mostly when grabbing lunch meat and cheese from the deli. There is ample parking outside, I always tend to park to the right as I hate the one way directions through the other parking lanes. There are entrances on either side, with your cold food selections, fruits, vegetables being to the left and your milk, cheese, and mostly importantly, beer, being to your right, the deli is straight back! Although the line for a publix sub can sometimes be backed up, especially during the lunch hour, it is definitely worth it. Staff is always very friendly, the store itself is always clean, and there are constantly people stocking or organizing the shelves. If you've been to any Publix before than you will feel right at home at this location. However you most likely would have been to a nicer location as well. The positives of this location are definitely the employees. They are friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face. They really make you feel like part of the family. The store and the parking lot are always kept clean. They have a decent beer selection with some of the more popular craft beers. They will order special meat cuts if you ask. Now for the negatives. I am going to list a few, but these are minor things. It is an older location and shows it's age. Many locations have been updated (Tuskawilla or Howell branch for example), so you won't feel as fancy shopping at this location. Their selection is more basic than those other locations as well. While they have some of the healthy, new age, hipster products, they don't have as large of a selection as other locations. There have been times when we've seen advertised deals and when we go to this location they don't have the deal in place. They run out of silk almond milk a lot...like a lot. Obviously you are gonna shop at your closest location, but in a pinch you have nothing to fear in patronizing this location. read more

This is a typical older style Publix. They are usually well stocked and have pretty much everything all the other Publixes have. Their deli staff is friendly and quick, the line is always long in length but not in time. Their seafood and meat departments are average as well as their produce. Half the time they have great fresh produce, and the other half you'll be lucky to find one ripe tomato in a sea of bruised and green ones. I have stopped shopping at this Publix in the last few months, because every time I've bought bread from their bakery (usually the whole wheat loaf or country bread loaf) within a few days it's crawling with small baby red ants. I think they have an ant infestation in their flour or something. I do not have ants anywhere in my house, and the bread from this Publix is the only hing I've ever seen them in. I switched to the Publix on 436 in Casselberry and have not had this problem since. read more

As others have pointed out, this is one of the more "elderly" Publix stores in the area. It has yet to be remodeled and reminds me a lot of the store in Longwood/Altamonte Springs (the one across the street from Outback and near where Friendly's used to be). It remains serviceable, but it does not really compare to the newer stores in Winter Park and Lake Mary. I stopped in here for a few things yesterday just to see if it had anything unique. I saw a few interesting items. I don't go to Casselberry for shopping all that much so I'm not sure when I'll be back at this store. I almost always make a point to go to the Publix stores in Lake Mary and Winter Park and definitely will be a regular at the new one that's being built in Longwood/Altamonte Springs (near the intersection of S.R. 434 and Montgomery Road). read more

Comparing this Publix to, say...the Winter Springs Ghost Town Center location, the Casselberry location is bad, bad, bad. I had a couple of coupons and wanted to take advantage of a couple of BOGOs. The store is dirtier than others and no one (including several managers that walked past me) even acknowledged me. At winter Springs, EVERYONE greets you and asks if you need help, This store is also notorious for being out of advertised items. The Casselberry team could learn some things from the Winter Springs store. I saw that they moved the pharmacy and it looks like more changes are coming. I hope they are for the better. read more

This is the closest large supermarket to my home. There are some drawbacks such as the amount of people smoking out front of the store when it opens (why put a cigarette container right in front of the entryway??). I also wish the pharmacy was open earlier and had friendlier staff. Each time I make a separate trip to go to the pharmacy, I wait for at least 5 minutes to be helped, when there is no one else waiting in line. If their computer system doesn't read your Publix digital coupons, you have to go return your items, rebuy your items and remember which ones you had digital coupons for. That's a pain! The pro's: the staff including Publix employees stocking the shelves are always friendly to us. We can ask for special things to be ordered and usually receive them within a week or two. Publix Pharmacy. Oh Lord!!! I have been a dedicated"patient " for over 2 years now and the girls in this pharmacy STILL treat me like Crap! These girls, whom are not the pharmacist, make us feel terrible, awful and guilty that we are there on my monthly schedule, to get my medication ( from my 3 Dr.s and a brain Surgeon) . I have never done a darn thing to Jennifer yet she makes me feel terrible every month, just to get my medication that I need to live. Customer Service Manager and Asst Customer Service Manager is prejudice. A few of my neighbors was sitting around talking about Publix, and we came up with the idea that we would have kids in the community go and apply for a job at our local Publix. 2 white kids, 2 black kids, and 2 Hispanic kids. Each day we all took turns to take the kids up there to check on their application. Each day we had each kid to call and check on their application. Both of the black kids, plus 1 of the Hispanic kids were told that they didnt come up with an interview date yet, check back later, or go to a different store. 1 Hispanic was told that they were not hiring to check back later. But both of the white kids were told to come in for an interview, and were hired for the jobs, and is currently working. None of the kids have experience, all of the kids are the same exact age, and all of the kids live the same exact distance from the location. Now you tell me, if that wasnt prejudice. Sue and Darren should be ashamed of themselves. Darren was the one who told the kid they wasnt hiring, while Sure was the one who told the others that they didnt pick an interview time yet. Sue was also the one who told the other kids to come in for interviews. Way to go Publix. read more

This is an older Publix that has yet to be remodeled, so the layout is different than most of the stores in Orlando. This is a busy location. Checkout lines are not the speediest, but this Deli rocks people in and out no matter how long the lines are. Great Publix! They somehow manage to have everything I need even when some other Publix do not on occasion. Friendly people who will do whatever they can to be of service to you and they will remember you and your preferences between trips as well! This is my Publix, it is 2 minutes down the road from our home. We moved to Casselberry 2 years ago and that is when I started shopping here. The staff is always friendly and they usually are stocked up well on everything I need. The BOGOs are great. I will say I do not buy meat here as they are kind of pricey, but do a huge portion of my shopping here. Store is also always clean and they have a great coupon policy! =-) read more

I'm surprised this Publix hasn't had any reviews yet! When I need something really quick and I'm racing the clock, I love popping into this store. I'm always treated well by the staff. The cashiers here are some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered. The Deli ladies are very fast, and great sub makers, and they're wonderful to have small talk with. The fish people are always willing to help you with a smile, the guys in the meat section are always eager to help customers, and I'm always asked if I need help when I'm clearly confused or in a hurry. Shopping is truly a pleasure at our Casselberry Publix. I had an amazing experience today and it showed true dedication although some may see it as simple and meaningless. I was in a rush to get home to my kids because they had no power and I was trying to place an online order with Publix. The system was down so I called the store. After a few minutes of waiting, a young woman in customer service picked up, try to get me the deli department and after a few more minutes, she picked up again.. I explained my situation and why I was in a rush to pick this food up. She offered to take my order and run it back to the deli department. She didn't have to, she could have simply said to come into the store and place the order while here. I was shocked and surprised but grateful. She took the order rn it to the deli department and five minutes later I get a call from a young man who wanted to make sure he had the order correct. I think that in these times we are all going through one of the worst storms to hit Florida and still recovering, Young Associate's like these two should be commended. The unfortunate thing is that I never got their names but I'm sure someone does. Not because they didn't give it but because I forget everything LOL. Every time I go to Publix here in Casselberry Collection, I never leave disappointed. Prices could be a little better but quality is worth it. I give this store five stars read more
