I ended up walking nearly two miles to a gas station for help. When I got there, the attendant didn't hesitate--he said, "Warrior Tire." That recommendation turned out to be one of the biggest blessings of my day. When I was finally able to get my vehicle to the shop, I explained everything that had happened, along with my history of tire issues. I also shared that I've felt taken advantage of by repair shops in the past because I'm not very knowledgeable about cars. Anita at the front desk and the guys in the shop treated me with so much kindness, honesty, and respect. They took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand and were completely transparent with me. Unfortunately, the news wasn't what I wanted to hear--my vehicle was beyond repair--but they were honest instead of trying to sell me something I didn't need and letting me leave in a very unsafe vehicle like previous shops had apparently done. As a single mom who works in the nonprofit field, losing my vehicle was one of the hardest days I've had in a long time. Reliable transportation isn't a luxury for me--it's how I take care of my daughter and get to work. I was emotional, and every single person there was patient, compassionate, and understanding. Since I live about an hour and a half away, they even allowed me to leave my vehicle there because it wasn't safe to drive. They were so kind and the owner himself drove over to the Volero gas station to inspect my car. He got it running enough to drive it back to their shop where they promptly fixed the issue. I have bought at least 4 sets of tires through Discount Tire. My past experiences have been…read morereasonably good, but this latest set has tested me. I originally somewhat reluctantly purchased a set of Cooper tires knowing a 30 day free exchange warranty was offered. After riding on them for about 2 weeks I decided the ride was too much of an off-road feel where as I was prioritizing a highway ride. I elected to pursue the exchange. Moving to a tire listed at $20 per tire more resulted in a proposed added cost of $500. I looked closer at the breakdown and learned that in addition to the expected $80plus tax, I was to be charged for: 1) a new tire warranty. I was told at this time that the previous tire warranty I purchased for $25 per tire or 15% of new tire cost was non-transferable. Not only non-transferable but also non-refundable. This is probably covered in the miles of pages of terms and conditions but wasn't made clear to me. 2) The tire balance and mount which the company website stated should be waived was not. 3) To make the change, I had to waive the new tire warranty that would have added $35/tire or an increase of $140. A business that advertises honesty isnt as transparent with their advertising as expected. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next tires.

Several days later my car wouldn't start and my engine light came on. It turned out to be a key fob battery. When i fi ll up on gas in an area that was potentislly unsafe i had gased up leaving my car running apparently this is whst caused my engine light to come on not to mention a fire hazard. Apparently, static electricity can cause and explosion. In my defense, i am an 80 year old widow living on a pension. In the 40's and 50's not only were there no cell phones, there were no computers. You can see how vulnerable i am. Nic and Brody have listened patiently and provided all the info i needed. Infact i was given a list of all repairs that were needed and the corresponding price. These were divided into those i needed right now, those that coul wait a momth,, and those that could wait longer. They both approached me with respect and kindness which has prompted this review. I was prepared to leave when Nic said to me that the serpentine belt was about to break. I thought Nic was going not going to let me leave wi th it in the condition it was in Nic sent one of his workers t7o go get the belt and put it on. Took an hour including picking up the belt. I got the feeling he was trying to inform me without scaring me. What did i know about serpentine belts.Not a thing! Everyone i encountered behaved that way. I have not felt that way since my husband passed. It was quite touching. Now i learned a new woŕd KeyFob. It has a CR 2032 battery. If the battery is dead so is your car. Lesson # 2. Now being 80 at night when i needed gas if i felt frightened, i would lea e the car running while i gassed up. Did you know that would cause the engine light to come on. Lesson #3. Or that you should never have the car running while gasing up because like static Lesson #4 electricity could cause the car to catch on fire or worse.
