After an overnight cold spell, I noticed my back tire was reading low. I pulled into the Wal-Mart in Russellville, KY, and they aired it up for no charge. I can think of many auto places that would charge you for that. I misread my PSI on my dashboard due to how the sunlight reflection was coming in, and told them the air did not help, that my tire was still very low on air. Without an appointment, they told me they would get a new tire for me and there was one in stock that fit my car. I can't tell you how hard it is to find a tire already in stock for my discontinued model car at other auto places. Upon taking the tire off, they told me there was nothing wrong, that there was nothing wrong with the tire. I still wasn't charged. Every single time I come here to get a simple oil change or new tires, it always takes over 3 hours. I set appointments and show up on time but somehow each time the service takes a least 3 hours. I came in for an 11:30 appointment for an oil change and left after 3:30. Do not recommend coming here for auto services. read more

I purchased tires online from Walmart.com on Cyber Monday. I got a good deal, but since they were shipping from an authorized seller on Walmart's website I had to have them shipped directly to my home. I called the Automotive department at the Morgantown Rd Walmart here in Bowling Green, KY to make an appointment to have the tires installed the day after I received them. My appointment was for 2:00 pm. I arrived early and waited in line in the Automotive department. I spoke with the Walmart associate and clarified the services I wanted them to perform. I asked them how long it would take and they said probably an hour. I shopped around the store, got a few things I needed for the cars and the house, and returned to the Automotive department at approximately 3:00 pm. I could see through the window into the shop that my vehicle was still up on the lift, so I decided to give them a few more minutes before I checked out. I came back at 3:15 pm and my vehicle was still on the lift. I went ahead and checked out and asked the Walmart associate how much longer it would be. She was nice enough to go out into the shop to ask the technicians. She came back and said 20-25 minutes longer. I sat down in the Automotive department waiting room and here I still sit at 4:15 pm. Two hours and fifteen minutes and they're still not done. Needless to say, I'm disappointed and will be hesitant to recommend Walmart's Automotive department to anyone I care for or like. On my way to the counter to see if they can give me an update on how much longer it'll be before I can leave... UPDATE: It was about 4:30 pm by the time they finished - 2 1/2 hours to install four tires. I believe the manager of the Automotive Service department checked me out. I asked him how long a tire install usually takes and he said about an hour. I told him that I'd been there for 2 1/2 hours. He shrugged his shoulders and made an excuse about being busy. Why take appointments, if you're going to put other customers who just drive up for service first? No apology for how long it took, just excuses and apathy. Poor customer service! Popped my tired about a mile south of Horse Cave around 6:15pm. Only place around was this location Walmart Auto Care Center. Called them and told them what happened while changing my tire as quick as I could. Explained what happened and told them the soonest I could get there was 7:15, which was 15 minutes after they closed. It's now 7:30 and they are still putting on the new tire for me. These guys definitely are willing to go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I would 100% recommend their services! read more
