We were really upset because we had planned this trip for a year with our young grandson, and since the floods closed the north entrance we were staying by, we had a long drive that morning to get to West Yellowstone. We had only that day to tour the park. It was early and Lane didn't have his full staff in yet and had other appointments he had to take care of. Our tire was destroyed, so it was going to take some time to first get to it, then to put a couple new tires on, since another one was damaged as well. We were looking at 2-3 hours minimum. Our day was pretty much shot. We went across the street to a cafe to eat breakfast resigned to the fact we weren't going to be able to do everything we planned. Within 45 minutes, Lane called me and told me they were done and the car was ready to go! He got someone in there and they got it in so we could have our day. I can't thank Lane and his team enough. The compassion they showed us reinforced our faith that there are great people out there, and several of them work at Tire Rama.

After I…read morestarted unloading my wheels and tires a tech immediately came outside and barked at me to move closer to the building. I never asked for help. As I was backing up to the building the tech rolled their eyes and waved their hands faster as if I were moving too slow. Then they threw down my tailgate so hard and rubbed their lazy body up and down my paint rather than let me the customer hand them down the wheels. All 4 of my wheels were perfect when I dropped them off. All 4 are now gouged from an inexperienced tech. This was absolutely the shittiest experience possible. I feel violated big time.

I immediately returned, but after a brief inspection I was told there was nothing wrong. When I left the shop, the warning alarm came on again. I called Auto Stop, explained that the warning had returned, and was again assured there was nothing wrong. I was told to wait and see if the alarm came on again after driving. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and I could smell coolant burning on the hot engine. I made it home just before coolant began dripping from the vehicle. At that point, I had the van towed to another repair shop. The second shop found that the primary coolant hose from the reservoir to the engine had been installed incorrectly and was approximately 3/4 inch too short. They also discovered a second hose with a large bulge that was on the verge of rupturing. Both issues required immediate repair. What disappointed me most was not simply that mistakes were made, but that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. After the warning alarm came on twice within minutes of leaving the shop, I expected a thorough inspection of the cooling system rather than reassurance that nothing was wrong. Because of the improper installation, I incurred more than $500 in additional repair costs, plus the cost of towing the vehicle to another shop. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. The quality of the installation, the lack of careful follow-up, and the poor customer service left me with significant additional expense and inconvenience.

And he implicitly trusts the honesty and quality of workmanship. I am so grateful for his recommendation. Jon and Will are the highly skilled mechanics that I was fortunate to have working on my Chevrolet Traverse. Steve the manager chose the perfect tires! When driving 1200+ miles road trips, comfort matters! And the pricing for everything was Amazingly great! Thanks Jon, Will and Steve you made me a lifetime Firestone customer. Last week, Steve confirmed he had Blizzak snow tires in stock, said he would reserve them, and scheduled my appointment. I verified in advance because I live 60 miles away. This morning I drove 110 miles round trip, took time off work, arrived on time, checked in, and the work order was correct. The lobby was empty. After over two hours, I was told: "We're sorry -- we don't have your snow tires. We must have sold them." Then they said they were pulling my car up. No call. No warning. No attempt to resolve the issue -- despite this being a safety-related tire replacement. I left and went to Les Schwab, where I had new snow tires installed immediately. I am now an ex-Firestone customer. This Bozeman location wasted my time and broke a clear inventory promise. Do not rely on Firestone's word if you're traveling any distance.
