It's actually California law that gas stations are required to provide free gas and water when you buy gasoline. On the rare occasions I've tried to ask for either in the LA area, the gas station attendant acts like I might as well be asking for the earth and the moon. Then midway through they'll shut it off, so I'll have to go back, they'll begrudgingly turn it on again, and I'll have to go back to my car and so on and so forth... With the employees here, it's completely the opposite! Because I wanted to use Apple Pay inside they let me fill up my tank first and then allowed me to pay for it later. Imagine doing that in LA! When I asked about air, one of the mechanics actually checked each of my tires for me and even went underneath the car to grab a valve-cap that I had dropped. And they waved us goodbye and thanked us for coming! No, thank YOU!! This station deserves ALL the Mobil awards! PS. The gas was cheaper than the other stations in the area!

Then it was taken over by the current owner, who somehow managed to fire the entire experienced crew-some with decades here-and replace them with people who can't do half the work this place advertises. Basic services that were once routine are now apparently "not something we do," which is an interesting business model for a service bay. The new staff seem confused, undertrained, and completely out of their depth. It takes real talent to ruin a business this thoroughly, but here we are. If you're remembering how good this place used to be, save yourself the disappointment. That version is long gone.

Two outside sitting areas and the normal waiting room inside. The customer service here has always been very good. Today was no different. An associate named Andrew was top notch...from receiving (writing up service needed/requested) vehicles as they came in, to working hard in the "garage". Then of course was the Manager (Jose) who has helped me several times in previous visits and is also extremely Customer Service centric . Normally, when I need an Oil Change , the Crew at this location get me "in, done and out" within an hour...which really isn't bad. At the register, they "run down" the services and "checks of the vehicle" that were provided before they present you with the bill...which also seems pretty reasonable. Personally, getting an Oil Changed done is about as thrilling as going to the dentist, but the Jiffy Lube in Paso Robles makes the experience more than tolerable. These fellows provided me with hope but more than that a kind word, a cookie ( from Anthoney's mom I hear) and some hope that for today my tire is ok. After January 1....
