Made appointment several weeks ago. I had to do it after school was out for the year. But, I made 8 am for 4WD Alignment check and brake check. I did call the local branch in Atascadero, not a call center as this number has been in my phone for decades as an old Tire pro's customer. But today I arrived and waited until 835 and asked why my car is still out front and not being worked on. Well the alignment guy comes in at 845. So it would have helped a lot of I was told that when I made the appointment. I had 2 little boys with me waiting, ages 5 and 8. But thankfully the guy showed up and at 847 my car was driven into the work bay. I did have 1 alignment adjustment needed and made. Right front toe was off. Brakes were good. So all in all I was pleased. I do really miss the guys I knew for decades at Tire Pros and the change makes me a little sad. read more

Continuing to find wonky stuff these folks did. Getting ready for a trip. Tried to change my air filter. Seems they got the gasket hold down thingy setup so the clamp would not close properly, notice the sideways jig. Previously the clamp was higher up and very easy to move to put in a new filter. Dangi! I should never have gone back to that pit. read more

While I was waiting I listened to Ed on the phone with customers proactively reminding them of existing coupons for services and automatically adding them to the quote. Purchased 4 tires for my 2023 Honda CRV, and had no problems whats so ever. Desk service was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and great to talk to. Walked in at 8:05am, discussed tires, made the order along with an alignment, went home and 2 hours later walked in to pickup my car. Service tech did a check of the suspension, brakes, etc, and found all were in great condition. I could not be happier. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

When it was the other company, we didn't have this problem. Saturday we called and said we needed four new tires. We were shocked to hear that we could bring it in that day and it will be done between 1 & 2. Left & came back to check on it and it wasn't done yet. Left & came back again at five and they hadn't even started it. It's going on 7 o'clock and we are waiting and our car is still not done. Why say you can do something "that day" when you obviously can't!! Quit over booking!!! Going somewhere else next time! And PLEASE don't sent me that same automated response you did to every other person who gave you a bad review! read more

Did you hear about the wine they made from a tire? Appearantly it was a "Goodyear". We had an appointment today to have four new tires installed at American West Tire & Auto. Within ten minutes of arriving, they had our vehicle inside and the work had commenced. Even though they were very busy with other customers & phone calls, the job was finished in about an hour. This included mounting and balancing the tires. They also installed new valve stems for safety's sake. Both the office and the shop itself were very clean, and the employees are friendly and helpful. We've been using this shop on & off for years and have always been very pleased with their services. read more

Used to be good before being bought out by American Tire Depot. Now, all I had them do is rotate my tires. Had an appt. I was on time. After half hour, I looked out to where my car was parked & they had 2 guys there the hood off and the cover off so I asked what they were doing. Wrong car, they said. Finally after my car sat for more time, 45 min before they took it back to begin rotation. So....despite having just one thing to do, hardly any cars there, having several people working; it took them 1 hr 15 min. in and out of there. nice guys...but I was charged $23 per quart of synthetic oil for my oil change. in addition, my vehicle specifications indicate it takes 1 Qt less than I was charged. The first quote I had for the oil change was $600. The second quote was $400, then $300, and finally about $225. My nephew who owns a repair shop in LA says for synthetic oil it should have been $7-10 per quart. I think I was over charged. read more

Have been using the prior business for new tires and services for decades. I had an appointment to have brake fluid replaced and tires rotated and was told it would take about an hour and a half. As I live in a different town, I decided to wait for the service to be performed. After waiting for 50 minutes, I looked out and realized that they had not even started working on my vehicle. I demanded my keys back and left. All they could say was "sorry about that". What's the point of having an appointment? This company has lost my future business. read more
