This Walmart was massive w/ an incredible amount of selection. You could really find just about everything in 1 place. That being said, the experience inside was pretty chaotic. There were a lot of people throughout the store, and it felt crowded & overwhelming @ times. The lines were very long which made checking out take much longer than expected. It was all self checkout & the employee who was there I felt like she was hawking me which added to my stress. The prices were ok. Extremely disappointed with the delivery service from Walmart in Escorial, Carolina, Puerto Rico. I placed an order because I am currently sick and was given a delivery window of 6-8 PM. The order was NOT delivered on time, and no one contacted me to explain the delay. On top of that, an essential item (milk) was replaced with a much more expensive product without proper notice, increasing my total cost. Even worse, I noticed additional unexplained charges on my card. Trying to contact the store was a nightmare--I called multiple times and no one answered. When I finally reached someone, I was told they were short-staffed and couldn't prepare orders on time. That is NOT an acceptable excuse. If you cannot handle the demand, then do not offer delivery services with promised time windows. This is unreliable, unprofessional, and very frustrating--especially for customers who depend on delivery due to health issues. I do NOT recommend using Walmart delivery from this location. Be prepared for delays, poor communication, and unexpected charges. read more

This spot has pretty much everything you could need. I am visiting from the states and I was surprised by how many local Puerto Rican products were available alongside the usual Walmart items. Also, I found some hot ones Pringles that are always sold out elsewhere. There is a lot of filtered water, it's not so easy finding natural, spring, mineral waters. getting in and out of Plaza Escorial can get tricky, The traffic and parking can be a little chaotic, especially during busy hours, so give yourself extra time. Overall, it's a convenient one-stop shop if you're staying in the San Juan/Carolina area and need groceries, beach supplies, or anything you forgot to pack. read more

Love this Walmart. The bathrooms are always clean, it's fully stocked with what we need, the service and value are great. There are some things to search for and some things you may not find but the lines move quickly and we found everything we were looking for. We even had to return and exchange an item which was super easy. You do have to purchase bags at checkout so bring your own bag or prepare to pay for them and we were fine paying for our bags since we didn't know. read more

WalMart, Plaza Escorial, Carolina, PR Substandard Shopping For PR Citizens 1. Milk Section never stocked for this many customers. (No LACTAID) or similar, No Great Value Coffee Creamer. Poor planning and Restocking. No big enough. 2. Shampoo section too narrow, shelves in disarray, too crowded. 3. Produce Section never fresh onions etc. 4. Bananas always bruised (low quality) and yesterday had none. 5. Never any signs of improvement. Many more problems not listed. Get help with design and management from people that know how to run a store. I am to the point of just paying extra at Pueblo which is only slightly better. YOU CAN DO BETTER! THE PEOPLE NEED HIGHER QUALITY. Go to the states and visit any grocery store, TAKE NOTES, and then come fix your store. You are abusing the people of Puerto Rico with a substandard shopping environment. read more

This Walmart was much better appointed than the once in Plaza del Sol in Bayamón. Much better selection of coffee makers, microwaves and other small home appliances. Much better selection of Christmas decor and gift wrapping supplies. Fairly crowded but the express checkout line moves quickly. There were many sales associates on the floor several of whom were very helpful directing us to specific areas. Also, many features other than the Walmart per se. There's also a McDonald's, a hair salon and a nail salon here. In the same plaza as Old Navy, Home Depot, Rainbow, Chulerias and David's Bridal. Lot parking with security towers. read more

This a typical Walmart supercenter. It was very busy and we had to park in no man's land, but the lines moved fast, the workers were friendly and the bathrooms were clean. It has a hot foods counter, decent cheese section, a nail salon, hair salon, etc. There is a multi-level Walmart much closer to the tourist area in San Juan, not to be confused with this store. read more

This Walmart is packed. I went shopping for a few basic home essentials. I left my cart to grab some cereal and someone nabbed it. I only had a few items in the cart, no personal belongings and nothing of value. Really? I then had to find a new cart and get the shopping items again, though one item, a tape measure, they were out of so I had to go next door to a home improvement store. It's just crazy. read more

Meh... This is a three story Walmart which has a small selection of a bunch of things, and are surprisingly over priced! It has escalators that you can ride on with your shopping cart so hence the three stars. Also, have fun parking!! read more

My family, specially my sisters love Walmart. They go to the store pretty much everyday because of all the things you can find there. I visited the location twice and employee NORMA, is one of the most DISRESPECTFUL employees that the store has. We had a return and instead of helping, NORMA told another employee that we had to go to another store because we had purchased the item in the other store and it was from their account. NORMA was too busy to come and talk to us when I asked for her, NORMA sent another employee. The day after, we came back to do another return with my other sister after NORMA denied an even exchange because my sisters id was expired, and when I got there the exchange was completed without me having to use my Id. Sad to have employees like NORMA, if customer satisfaction is not your priority, you should not work there. read more
