Lines are always long not all are always open you do have the staff to open all registers but no they're all in the Aisles talking to each other or in their phones texting where is management directing employees?? I saw someone pay for their regular items in electronics im okay I'm buying lightbulbs and Pam I stood in a small line when the cashier asked what we needed im like just pay for a few things he's like no you have to pay in the front. This Walmart is a joke. I've been looking for propane for a while. Today, saw someone doing an exchange so I figured they had propane. At checkout, our cashier was friendly and asked a coworker named Barbara if they had propane. Without checking Barbra just said no we don't have any propane. We said we saw someone getting an exchange and her response was literally "oh, we only had the one one." So it went from zero to one. Walked by the tanks on my way to the car, tons of blue capped new tanks. Spoke to someone in garden and they happily got me a tank and let me choose which one I wanted. Lazy employees that provide no customer service shouldn't be working a customer service job. Stick with Amazon or Target. read more

For things i want i need to press a button to call for help, it takes forever for someone to come help. i get people steal and they are trying to prevent that, but they need a better system.. and it is soooo dirty in there i didn't even want to go into the bathroom. Yesterday I went to the Walmart located on Foothill and Palmetto, I needed some help with a heavy dog food bag, (I had a tumor removed from my spinal cord and I can't lift anything over 15 pounds). I asked for help, next to me was an older lady probably in her late 60s also asking for assistance from the manager. The manager said no, no nobody around to both of us, never looked at us and she was rude. This store has a very bad reputation and worst customer service I have ever experienced. I know it's a busy store and I was willing to wait for help but that manager made it worst, I have read complaints about this store on this page but yesterday it was the worst ever for me and that older lady who said a couple of employees had told her they were not allowed to lift anything heavy which sounds unbelievable but it happened to me as well read more

Worst Walmart in existence. I'm not sure what the reason is, maybe it's because the area isn't the greatest or maybe it's because it's the only Walmart in the area (next closest would be Rialto), but this Walmart is HORRIBLE. It's like a prison yard. The employees are rude, aggressive, and not helpful. The shelves are never stocked and frequently empty for days at a time. Lord help you if you need an item that is locked up, there will be a minimum of a 15 minute wait time, before being sent to register 18 where you wait another 20 minutes. Common things like pampers sensitive baby wipes and baby medicine of any kind are constantly out of stock. They NEVER open any more than 2 or 3 registers even though there are 18 registers + self check out. Customer Service and Money Services are a minimum 20 minute wait. Phones don't work and they leave you on hold if you try to call ahead for any reason. Pharmacy lines are ridiculous. I cannot think of a single good thing I have to say, or a single good shopping experience I have ever had here. I only come here if I really have to and would not recommend anyone shop here if they can avoid it. One star is pretty generous. read more

"Curbside pickup" wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It wasn't terrible. It simply never happened. The horror story is too long to completely tell here. The bottom line is that I did everything required - starting from placing my online order - to get "curbside pickup", and went beyond (including going to the pickup area at the back of the store). Walmart did nothing, and that is just what I got. The "customer service" was just as non-existent afterwards. I called and had a basically one-sided conversation with the rep. I made it perfectly clear that the management of the Fontana location needed to fix whatever caused this complete failure. The Walmart on Foothill, Fontana have made many changes. They have many items locked and the wait for an associated to arrive to remove the item takes a long time. Then there is the long lines you have to wait for. They are not as low cost as most believe they are. Do some shop comparison to learn you can get a better deal elsewhere. Once the cashier directed me to bag my own items. I replied, "I don't work for Walmart, you do. So please bag my items." The couple before me were elderly, but they bagged their own items as directed. I telephoned and spoke with a manager and explained what had happened. It turns out, Walmart has cameras watching their employees. How would you like to work under those conditions and for a modest hourly wage. read more

I had a good experience with the staff today. Angelo & David from electronics are wonderful. The only problem was the customers. Rude awful people everywhere!! I was waiting in line to get a new router and a charger and the ladies next to me were just nonstop complaining about how lazy the staff were as I watched sweat drip down their faces. It's extremely disheartening how entitled and gross the average customer is. Anyways, thank you to Angelo for going above and beyond with helping me pick out a router. as great as the service was I wont be returning, the average customer here in Fontana is just not worth the hassle. read more

I love shopping at Walmart but this is by far the worst one. They only have 6 lanes open but there is 17 lanes.... plus they have one self checkout open and the lines are to the back of the store. I understand there is a pandemic and they close at 5 but they should call for backup to get everyone out by five. I've been in line for over an hour. I know they are working as hard as they can but they should really call for backup and stop pressuring customers to leave. This is the real definition of what everyone thinks Walmart is like. Wish I can give it no stars I called because we obviously don't want to go in a lot because rod COVID and I've been on the phone getting transferred to different areas of the store for an HOUR. Still on hold, no one from money order has answered. I get transferred to electronics or the same person just answers. I asked to talk to a manager since no one from money gram/orders can answer. Shouldn't you want to make sure customers aren't in line for long?? 17 registers and they always only have 3 to 4 open. Lines are ridiculous! Lines are always back to the middle of the store. Their Customer Service stole my return! Never shipped my returned item out to the online marketplace seller which is Walmart.com's return policy, instead handed me a receipt with a FedEx number that was never used. They also never answer the phone. Try it: 909-355-6922. They let it ring for the full 5 mins or disconnect the line after numerous attempts. Lazy and horrible thieves. Now let me start off by saying, I AM NOT "THAT" Customer. But I have NEVER and I mean NEEEVER been so upset, dissatisfied, disappointed and almost at a loss for words when I tell you about my experience here at the Fontana Walmart!! Just WOW!! So I dropped my car off for an oil change around 130pm, I came and picked it up just before 4pm. I live but 6 minutes away, when I got home I told my spouse that I smelled something really bad from my engine, so I opened my hud to show him and there was OIL EVERYWHERE!!!!!! And I mean EVERYWHERE!!!! I looked under my car and there was already puddles forming under the car. I tried calling them immediately and of course there was no answer, I took lots of pictures and videos so the time stamp would be on there. When I came back I spoke with the ASM and first thing he said was "I'm sorry I just did a double shift so I'm a little tired" I under that, but I NEED help fixing my car first and far most! My engine could have blew if I didn't notice the smell right away!! So I told them I needed my engine cleaned and a gift card so I can buy stuff to clean my driveway! When I post the pictures you will see why! Anyways, not only did they NOT put the cap on, they didn't screw the filter on correctly AND left my window down when they parked it! Instead of offering me a gift card he offered me 20% off my purchase!! WHAT ?!?!?!? Are you kidding me! Not only did this take 3 MORE HOURS OUT OF MY DAY, I NOW HAVE TO CLEAN MY DRIVEWAY!!!! And have potential damage to my vehicle!!!!!! As I'm writing this review, the ASM came over and told me that the Store manger, and the Auto care Manger all said to JUST give me 10% off my purchase of what I need to get to cleanup driveway !!!! This is absolutely the worst Walmart I have ever been to. They have such rude and lazy cashiers. Everything is locked up from mens jeans to deodorant to laundry soap. It's so ridiculous! I wouldn't mind if the staff actually came when you press the button for assistance, but there's times when you will just have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. Not convenient, especially when you just want to go in and out. They should really consider shutting this place down! You can't even buy every day stuff without waiting in a 45min to 1 hour long wait, all for shampoo or deodorant. They also put guys in the make-up aisle who know nothing about the product they are selling, so it takes forever for them to find what you are looking for. If you want a Wal-Mart customer service experience this is the location to go to, their associates are beyond rude and unwilling to help, almost everything in the beauty section is locked up and some of their toys and clothing items are too, good luck trying to find someone to help you unlock an item at the beauty and/or at the electronics section. I rather pay a little bit more and shop at Target instead, nothing is locked up there and they don't treat you like a thief while exiting the store, at Wal-Mart they check your receipt and the items in your cart to make sure you paid for your stuff. read more

This review is actually for the girl who works in the photo department. Her name is Tamra. At Christmas I ordered 8 calendars as last minute gifts for family. When I got to the store the next evening to pick them up, I was told that my order was cancelled (which it was not)....yet they hadn't refunded me. It was Xmas eve, I was now stressed & Tamra saved me. Told me she would have the calendars ready within an hour. She was very pleasant, professional & sweet.
