I opted to get that contractor to pick up the materials for me, to save a buck on the delivery fee, but apparently the contractor says that he did not pick up all of it as we didn't need all of it for the project, but when I talked to the store they said that my contractor in fact did pick up everything. They said Unfortunately this is more common than not, and they were generous enough to work with me to help get me a refund for what was allegedly not taken. Regardless of whatever the truth is, the fact of the matter is that Daniel and his team took care of me and helped educate me as well. I highly recommend this company, and I will be working with them for my future projects as well. Definitely worth the value, I thought the pricing was very reasonable for their products as well.

I ordered 75 yards of a 50/50 mix topsoil, which they claim is put through a 3/4" screen. Obviously, it's dirt, so you have to expect certain things like small rocks, clay clods, sticks, glass may get through. However, I spent nearly a week filling up close to 30+ qty wheel barrels full of hard clay clods. There were 1000's the size of large walnuts, hundreds the size of oranges, dozens the size of softballs, and even 1 the size of a watermelon. There is absolutely no way this was screened. I had ordered from them before, was bothered by their website, but was pleased with the delivery and the product the first time, which is why I proceeded this time. However, after this experience, I will never order from them again and offer a sincere buyers beware.

I was looking for a mini cacti garden and was given many options from a mixed succulent and cacti garden to a simple potted cacti plant. They have plenty of affordable selections that you can build your own mini indoor garden for around $25 to $30. The pre-made mini pots were even more affordable from $12 to $20. If you don't know what you want, go to the greenhouse and get educated. They will help you out so much.

I've often wondered about that large birdlike sculpture along NC 55. Today I stopped to get a…read morebetter view and found more than I was expecting. I had no idea this was a landscape business where the emphasis is on Japanese style landscaping and gardening. Adding that it also deals in natural rock sculptures is too obvious I suppose, given the name of this business and that large bird thing out by the road. Although it's probably too early in the year to get the full effect of the Japanese garden in various forms the landscape owners have built here, there was still enough green to see how the style incorporates the natural elements in the flora, water, stones and rocks. The display incorporates the elements into different styles to give a taste of how it works to evoke the beauty and simplicity. Sprinkled around are the stone sculptures. There are areas containing ponds, birdbaths, or free flowing water -- some with bamboo -- stone walkways and stone statues, and benches. This is certainly worth a visit, if you're looking for inspiration, but you may not get the full effect until later in the spring.

What an amazing place Adcock Nursery is....very organized and a huge selection of beautiful and very healthy plants to choose from, with great pricing and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very small but packed full of various plants to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We chatted for a little about the location and about other products they offered in the shop. For those that have been to the Chatham street store, this is their new location in Cary (just a heads up). The pricing seemed to be right in line with other boutique plant shops - so no real cause for alarm there. We did end up purchasing some soaps to try. I have enough plays for now lol

I have tried Atlantic Garden on several occasions because it's the closest nursery to my home, but…read moreunfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing, and I always leave empty-handed. Multiple staff members have ignored me while standing around talking to each other, and when I finally asked for help, they seemed annoyed and uninterested. The staff in the greenhouse, in particular, were especially unwelcoming and would not even look up to say hello or ask if I needed assistance, even when I was standing just a few feet away. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this nursery to anyone. I would gladly drive twice the distance to visit another nursery in the future.

There is ample parking out front. The shop is well organized even with having outdoor and several indoor retail areas. We easily found what we were looking for and then had a smooth checkout process.
