Honey in glass jars of various sorts
    Katie V.

First visit and it was a nice surprise to see what they had to offer. They came highly recommended thru a local Facebook group when I said I was seeking local honey in glass jars. I found the honey, and was very tempted at a lot of the many other items I saw there. A little steep for my budget at present but I'll definitely be back again!!

TLDR: Large, organized selection of healthy reasonably priced plants and supplies. They also sell local products, beekeeping supplies, pots, fountains, tools, outdoor furniture, and gardening supplies. Not sure how it took me so long to visit Garden Supply in Cary. I am glad I made the journey over. The store is packed with products. It's hard to decide which way to walk first as there are plants and supplies everywhere. Surprisingly though everything is organized. It was easy to find what I was looking for. I did get a little turned around inside and ended up walking backwards through the checkout line. Nonetheless, I found what I needed and more. The plants look healthier than those seen at department and home improvement stores. The plants are pricier than those at home improvement stores, but cheaper than those at other specialty garden stores in the area. Garden Supply is a beautiful one-stop shop for your gardening needs. I enjoyed admiring the landscaping and waterfalls. They have an indoor and outdoor area. Labels clearly mark species, prices, and care. Plus the employees are helpful. I purchased some pots and a bonsai tree. When checking out I was invited to join their bonsai mailing list. The person who runs it sends out a helpful newsletter on caring for bonsai tree and hosting events. Overall, I had a positive experience here and recommend this shop to others!

Keith, owner of GSC helped my family get started with bees. Was extremely knowledgeable, friendly. Showed us what to buy and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Love the family and everyone that works there. 5 stars - will definitely be back. Thank you !!!!!

I've been coming here off and on for many years. Today I came here to find a Japanese maple that one of our construction crews broke in half. We're having to replace it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I walked in the check out line where a little backed up. But Jason saw me and walked right up to me and ask if he could help me out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Jason another garden expert. Identified the type of Japanese maple I brought with me. And highly informed me on all the different types. They identified it and took me and showed me the different sizes. I highly recommend this place. They are extremely knowledgeable on different types of plants and how to take care of them.

1-Stop Shop. This place was so much more than I was expecting. It's like a cross between a nursery where you can find that perfect bush tree, ground cover, or flowers and a Lowes where you might pick up xmas decorations, bird houses, pots, wind chimes, seed, soil, etc. There's even a pizza oven down one side. Suzie helped us to find a cute indoor plant--some kind of spotted green thing my wife liked, and I was kind of mesmorized by the gnomes down another aisle. The people here are friendly and better yet, know their trade. It's why I always prefer a nursery to Lowe's or Home Depot for anything but the most basic item. It's a chance to try new things and learn how to correct garden experiments gone wrong at home. We'll be back for sure! They're dog friendly too!

Most things seem too nice for outdoors, so perhaps they're more for an indoor garden room. Either that or I totally misunderstand the garden part of home and garden. It is a good store to find a nice gift, with the small statues of every kind, clocks, mirrors, pictures, wrought-iron wall ornaments, and even some personal items, like jewelry, scarves and handbags. In the back room is the most beautiful log cabin dollhouse that I've seen in some time. Elizabeth's is a relaxed store, where they've kept the feel of the house. There are two small rooms on the first floor and a larger room with the larger items, upstairs. Despite the limited space, there's still a light feel. In my visits to Elizabeth's there's been something new to see. Certain things are moved to another area, displayed in a different way, giving it a fresh look. The owners seem to have a great deal of retail experience that shows in how they treat their customers and in their down-to-earth attitude -- especially noticeable during the holiday rush shortly after they opened.

I've been searching for some smaller pieces for my downsized abode and haven't been too enamored of one store, yet. That may change now that I've seen what Streets of London has available. SLA carries some beautiful Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, and early American furniture, some with the most exquisite carvings. They truly are works of art. There was a mirrored Victorian organ, a French mirrored armoire, and a 1940s era silk embroidered sofa, that I could not stop staring at. And for the sofa, I know I'd be sitting on the floor in front of it, admiring the detailing; probably defeating the purpose of having something that nice. There isn't just furniture here, either. For whatever period, there's art, lithographs, bed frames -- brass and wood, glass punch bowls, silver tureens, china, and tea services. One silver tea service was the type with the pot on a hinged device where it could be tipped for pouring without having to be picked up. That was the first time I've seen one of those up close. Although I was completely stunned at how many gorgeous pieces I saw, most of them were far too big for my available space. That's where the owner, Gill, came to my rescue. She told me the smaller pieces were always the first to be sold, but she was expecting another shipment later this year. As she's trying to sell down her inventory in advance of the new shipment, she tempted me sorely by telling me she may be willing to deal on some of the existing inventory. I now have a reason to go back besides just for a visual treat in the genre of wood. Until then, if there's any way I can make that organ or sofa fit . . . where did I put that measuring tape and yardstick. . . .
