I opted to get that contractor to pick up the materials for me, to save a buck on the delivery fee, but apparently the contractor says that he did not pick up all of it as we didn't need all of it for the project, but when I talked to the store they said that my contractor in fact did pick up everything. They said Unfortunately this is more common than not, and they were generous enough to work with me to help get me a refund for what was allegedly not taken. Regardless of whatever the truth is, the fact of the matter is that Daniel and his team took care of me and helped educate me as well. I highly recommend this company, and I will be working with them for my future projects as well. Definitely worth the value, I thought the pricing was very reasonable for their products as well.

I ordered 75 yards of a 50/50 mix topsoil, which they claim is put through a 3/4" screen. Obviously, it's dirt, so you have to expect certain things like small rocks, clay clods, sticks, glass may get through. However, I spent nearly a week filling up close to 30+ qty wheel barrels full of hard clay clods. There were 1000's the size of large walnuts, hundreds the size of oranges, dozens the size of softballs, and even 1 the size of a watermelon. There is absolutely no way this was screened. I had ordered from them before, was bothered by their website, but was pleased with the delivery and the product the first time, which is why I proceeded this time. However, after this experience, I will never order from them again and offer a sincere buyers beware.

Before I stopped by, I called to ask some questions about purchasing soil for a garden bed I am building. Debbie, who helped me on the phone, was so friendly and transferred me to Butch so that he could help explain everything about the soil. He knew the ins and outs of where the soil came from and which soil would work best for my project. He also helped me with how much I needed by calculating the measurements of my garden and gave me the true cost of the bags I would purchase. He also said that, if they were closed on the day I was able to come, I could call his personal phone and he would meet me to assist. So sweet!! When we arrived at the nursery, we were surprised at how many plants they have! There's a large variety to choose from and they have a listing of all the items they have available for sale. We were greeted by Debbie who was so sweet and kept calling me sugar :). She talked us through the soils they had and brought out a cart to help us load the bags we chose. After we were done loading, she and Butch continued talking with us and provided tons of helpful information on how to maintain our plants and garden. They were super helpful and helped us to avoid unnecessary purchases we thought we needed to make. Before we left, she gave me a hug and sent us on our way. We will definitely be returning as we love supporting local business and appreciate how helpful and friendly they were! I was surprised by how fast it had filled up by the time I left. I was at Homewood Nursery for a succulent workshop. It was held in one of the greenhouses. It was my first time at the nursery, so I was a little surprised by the size. I think I heard the property was over 30 acres, and the greenhouses cover four acres. Besides the greenhouses, you will find indoor plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, soils, fertilizers, and an area for gifts, too. So they have a large selection of products. If you are looking for a unique plant, you will find it here. The staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I am glad I found a new option for finding spring flowers and replacing my shrubs at some point.

Don't be scammed like I did. I wish I could give less than 1 star, but not possible. I ordered…read more"designer" mulch from Capital Mulch. After spending over $600 on 20 yards of mulch, I received a truckload of the same mulch I can get for FREE from the local tree guy with dye in it. It is garbage. I tipped them $30 prior, just to find out later that I tipped the owner who pretended not to be the owner. I confronted him that the mulch was not the standard it should be and we walked to neighbor who had true designer mulch. The office told me I should have let the driver, who was also the owner know there was a problem. I did and could not have been more clear to the driver, who pretended I need to call the office. They tried to tell me it was designer because it is dyed, but the other dyed mulches are not called designer. It is a scam. They later threatened to hire a subcontractor to come pick it up. However, they were going to use my money to pick it up. They draw you in with slightly lower pricing and no delivery. I asked them to figure something out and was willing for them to come get it, but not on my dime. The worst part is how they treated me, and then made nasty accusations that I threatened them. Ridiculous! They told me I should use it around back, which is what I would do with free mulch. Do yourself a favor, pay just a bit more and go anywhere else. Steve
