So instead of using a big online flower delivery company I decided to use a local florist in Victorville. I called and said I wanted a nice colorful plant delivered for $100. I also asked for a picture of the plant before it was delivered to confirm it was something that I would like. The clerk had excellent customer service and said he would make a arrangement that included a plant and colorful flowers and agreed to send a picture. Well I never received the picture. So I had to ask someone that I knew to send me a picture. Well after I saw what was delivered I knew that I had been ripped off. I would have gotten more for my money using one of the big flower delivery companies. So sad when you try to support local businesses you get ripped off.

The employees at the nursery have "inadequate knowledge" (Lance) and should not be trusted to…read morerecommend plants or trees to you. I spent over 4 THOUSAND dollars at this nursery, over the course of two days. I told both employees who helped me that I knew a general idea of what I wanted, but I didnt know enough to be trusted to pick things that would work on my property. I told them that I live in a cove, where we can experience wind as high as 50mph regularly, I told them I was looking for something that was drought tolerant, could handle full direct sunlight, and could brace and survive against high winds. I also provided other small details about my property, and the the purpose the plants would serve. I purchased the recommendations of the staff there and several weeks later, every single plant is dead. I asked how to care for the plants and I watered them as instructed. I called and talked to Lance, and he told me that it was my fault. He told me that the employees have inadequate knowledge and I should habe relied on my own research. He blamed the wind and heat, and told me I must not have watered them properly, even though I watered using instructions provided by staff on site. He told me that the plants they sell are suited for the local climate, even though not one plant or tree purchased from this surgery survived. I do not recommend shopping at this establishment. If you need plants or trees, purchase them at The Home Depot. They have a one year warranty on plants; a warranty Ive never had to use for plants purchased there. The staff at Oak Hills Nursery should not be making professional recommendations to customers, and should be making their lack of knowledge known to customers to establish reasonable expectations; however they failed to so this and it cost me 4k.

And it had one plum on it so I know versus going to Home Depot or Lowe's. It doesn't need a mate in order to grow.. all of their plants have already been propagated and they're healthy. They may not be full, but once you take them out of the pot and plan them and they have their time for their roots to grow they'll get full.. so this was a new nursery for me so I don't have to keep going down the hill to Riverside. I'm able to find everything I need for outdoors as far as my fruit trees go

It's much bigger and has more variety than it appears from the street, with costs being comparable. So nice to have a local nursery like the good ol' days. Went here for the first time today and after the rock guy asked if I needed help, he directed me indoors. Gal working register was kind enough to help me find edible plants for my sulcata tortoise. Including sod, woo hoo! Exactly what I needed. I will be flushing the plants and sod with diluted vinegar then water for a few days, but I know my boy Neptune will be thrilled when he sees them in his enclosure. Once done shopping, another guy hopped off his tractor to come help load the car. Now is that respect for your elders and great customer service or what? Thanks to all for your help. I will indeed be back!
