They…read morehad 2 to 3 feral cats (spayed, neutered and fed) that they cared for that lived and sheltered in the florist shop at night when they closed. They had a nursery offsite where they started small plants, vegetables, annuals, and perennials, now they have new ownership and it's completely changed, unfortunately. Now, the plants are literally dying in the nursery yard area, and it appears that they are currently running it as a snow removal, lawn service and a place to take a business loss. It's a total shame that this place, that was a hidden gem is not the same as it was with the previous owners. The previous business owners were second generation and there prior to the Dan Ryan.

I do not know much about gardening, they provided flower types that are hardy enough to withstand the cool spring nights. Yesterday I did the pumpkin decorating class. We got two large pumpkins and got to pick either a white or blue pumpkin. The supplies to decorate were plentiful. They provide all kinds of ideas and examples. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. I do not consider myself a creative person but after these classes I do! Many people brought snacks and drinks. Definitely a fun night out.
