It was out of the blue and he tried to surprise me. The florist called and asked for directions because "your husband bought you flowers and we don't know where you are at". So much for the surprise element... actually, the surprise was still to come. The flowers were in a plastic vase (FTD stated that it would be a glass vase) and that there would be at least 18 stems with beautiful fresh flowers. The lillys were wilting and the roses looked pretty beat up. The arrangement ... I'll let you be the judge. There was no form to it. Nothing professional. A bouquet from the discount bin at walmart would have impressed me more. It honestly looked as if the florist was too busy and asked her husband to whip something up. Then she shrug her shoulders and said "yeah, I guess that will do". Definitely not 60 bucks for flowers + 20 dollars delivery charge. What a rip off! I looked them up on Yahoo... I'm not the first dissatisfied customer. When the man came to deliver my flowers he wouldn't come to the building to deliver it to me. I had to walk outside (while misty rain fall) to meet him a few steps from his van. What a disappointment. Your best bet for flower delivery around this area is to use the flower service that delivers their flowers through UPS. It's less expensive by a lot... and the flowers are amazing. Yeah, the downside is that you have to provide your own vase (usually) and arrange it yourself. Beats being upset and disappointment by a long shot.

If you were stuck in Texarkana for the day like I was then you might end up visiting places like this too. It was mainly because Barbie wanted to check out one of these stores and she hadn't been to one in a while and this one was friendly and had some pretty cool stuff. I just found everything to be too basic for our standards but the prices were good. However since service was really nice I will give Cato 4 instead of the usual three. I know it's a chain but it's a little local version of chain and if we support them, hopefully they will do well. Oh, and I'm surprised they don't have any Yelp reviews. But they do now!
