I will award a rare 5-star rating for this Walmart in Gibsonia, because their pharmacy made it easy for me to schedule an early appointment for my COVID-19 booster vaccine, when many other pharmacies in the area did not have many appointments available. I simply went on their website, logged in, saw several appointment times over the next few days, and made appointments for my husband and me. On the day of our appointments, the pharmacist was courteous and did an excellent job with the vaccine injections. To ensure that my husband and I did not experience any allergic reactions, we hung around by shopping in the store. I picked up a few items such as contact solution, hamburger buns, and cat litter. Products were in stock, and prices were low compared to many other retailers. At the checkout, several cashiers were working, and only one customer was ahead of us in line. I want to talk about an incredible experience I had with Renee from the pharmacy in the Gibsonia Walmart. I had burned myself pretty badly and was looking for the best cream and I was asking the young male pharmacy worker when up pops Renee with a smile. She not only helped but came out from behind the counter to help and show me what she thought was best. This is a follow up review of the Gibsonia PA Walmart, and how they have sunk more in both there service and operating hours. In all seriousness the Gibsonia PA Walmart use to be known for there 24/7 operating hours, self check out, and great customer service. (but not anymore) As of now the Gibsonia PA Walmart is no longer opened 24/7, but instead there new operating hours are from 6AM-1AM. Be warned if you are trying to shop before the store closes they start to lock the main entrance doors at 12:50am. The employees may announce the wrong time over the speaker (off set by 5 or 10 minutes) in order to direct customers to the nearest cashier to check them out, but please ignore those announcements and instead learn to check your watch or cell phone for what is accurate. The self check out lines are still closed during the night, and for whatever reason is a contributing factor on why the Gibsonia PA Walmart has been declining. There 2nd shift (aka only night shift) has cashiers who if not watched properly will not always pack your items correctly and there for leads to the customer not receiving all items they have purchased. Best advice for Walmart: - Operating hours to be 24/7 not 6AM-1AM - Self check out to remain turned on through out the night - One cashier to each register and not have an extra body assigned - Hold cashiers more accountable Best Advice for Customers: - Start night shopping after 12:00am (store closes at 1:00am) - Visit the Cranberry PA Walmart Supercenter opened 24/7 which has there self check out lines always turned on. I was trying to return a bra, with my receipt and the hanger came on. It was the wrong size and I purchased one exactly like it the day prior. In taking back the smaller bra, Mind you with receipt the employee at customer service her name was Sue decided to put me through an interrogation. Not only did she check the code number inside the bra kept checking the receipt and told me it was the wrong numbers. I believe the URL. In any case, This went on for 10 minutes she was giving me quite an attitude and embarrassing me holding the brought up while other people Stared. I finally told her to call her manager. A man named Ryan came over and asked me if I had purchased it on my card?Because for some reason these numbers were not matching. I must've put my card Credit card in this machine five times for them to view all the receipts and many purchases I had made at Walmart. I know they don't care but I spent quite aLot of money at Walmart. That won't happen anymore. I don't care where I have to go it won't be Walmart. After going through this process for 15 minutes they decide to issue me a gift card. I asked Ryan the manager for Walmart corporate number and he dismissively said to me one 800 Walmart,I have never been so embarrassed and angry in my life. Oh and the best part was that my license which she requested had just expired. Included with the embarrassment she continue to give me a lecture about how I needed to get my license renewed. Recently I fell down the stairs and fractured my ankle and I've been going through quite a bit of health problems. The last thing I needed was a Walmart employee to thoroughly embarrassed me over a $14 bra. The Walmart in Gibsonia pa. Is a SAD Representation of Walmart in General. Mostly a Tire & Lube review. Yes, it is a smaller Wal-Mart. Okay, sometimes we can't get everything we want in life including 5 different brand choices of Corn Flakes. They might not have everything but they do have two extra departments that are not found in every other Wal-Mart; garden center and a tire & lube express. They also have a large automotive section with a lot of bits and bobs if you want to do some light work on your car. This trip, I got new tires and they installed them for a very reasonable price. I called ahead of time to check if they had my tires in stock, not only did they have them in stock the gentleman had them out and ready for me when I arrived. I was going to end up spending $350 on tires at another branded tire place, spent $250 here. Excellent! Also, they gave me an estimated time of 1 hour to get the tires on, it took half and hour. Very happy about my experience with the tire service here. Many thanks to Andrew for his excellent service and the technicians. I will be coming here from now on to get tires. read more

I normally don't like going to Walmart. Just visited this Walmart location to pick up a few things I needed including mouth wash, toothpaste, deodorant, dog treats, and to get my little brother some ice cream. I went around 0020 in the morning due to my school schedule and had two good run ins with employees, which means a lot to me. One employee stopped and helped me find the right dog treat I needed which I couldn't find, and another helped me at the register. I don't like how the only way to checkout is self checkout but I can deal with it. Overall, usually I don't have the best customer service experience with Walmart but this time I had a decent one and I appreciate that. read more

I will not shop here again, their front end is poorly managed. As the last time I was there my sale needed an approval and it took the assistant manager nearly 10 minutes to come of his little office. Someone with that kind of work ethic, and complete disregard for customers does not deserve a management position. read more

I wish the aisles were not so crowded. I also wish the register staff would call people into their line like they are supposed to instead of hiding behind their register or sitting behind their register. I was on the phone for 15 minutes trying to get one VERY SIMPLE question answered. Electronics would not even pick up the phone so I had to call another department to go to electronics. I never got on the phone with them but I was transferred to a manager. My question was answered after 15 minutes and when I brought this up to the female manager she could not care less or did not even bother telling me she was fix this issue. Wal-Mart optical in Gibsonia. Took an eye exam and ordered glasses. After a few hours wearing them I got dizzy. I thought I had to get used to the new subscription. After about three weeks of this I couldn't stand no more and my dizziness was not clearing up. I took them back and told the optical dept there was something not right. They took my glasses and after a while the manager came and told me they had given me the wrong subscription. He apologized and offered me a free pair for their mistake. I wore the new glasses for about three years. I was still having trouble seeing distances clearly thinking it was my sugar diabetes acting up. I went for an examination here in Florida by a private ophthalmologist. He said the subscription I was wearing for three years from Wal-Mart was too strong. I was given a weaker subscription by him and I am able to see perfect now. Never again will I ever go back to Wal-Mart optical. read more

As far as Walmart's go, this is a better one. Has a nice selection of frozen and non-perishable food. No fresh produce, so not a Super Walmart for sure. Always fairly clean with helpful staff. Not the typical Walmart. The selection was very limited and the appearance of the store seemed outdated. My biggest complaint was the size of the isle...you care barely fit down them and it a shopping cart was coming in the other direction you had to stop to allow it to get by. i gave it 3 stars because Walmart offers most things you need but this one left me a bit disappointed. I went there Christmas Eve to grab some medicine at 5:30. The store closes at 6:00pm and three employees greeted me at the door and told me I had 15 minutes left to shop. Then one of those employees made a comment to another employee that these people have had all year to shop and are waiting until now and her tone was very rude. The customer service in that store is horrible and I have had other issues in the store, but this was the worst. The store is old and dirty and with Target right up the road with a better selection and nicer employees, I will not be going to that store again. read more

Only giving this one experience a one star, not the store in general. Today I went to return some shoes and other items. A few weeks ago I bought two pairs of shoes without trying them on (I was hurrying and assumed my normal shoe size would work) and when I went home and put them on I realized they were a little too snug for my feet. Unfortunately I had thrown away the receipt and taken the tags off, but I figured since I just needed to swap out the sizes they may allow the return. I walked into the customer service section to a woman named Bea who greeted me with an exasperated sigh and snappy "are you returning?" I'd like to point out that there was no line, and she was seemingly just hanging out when I arrived so I don't know why she seemed so stressed out to begin with, but whatever. I explain my situation and she says with attitude that if there are no tags and no receipt, she cannot accept the returns. I say well if I'm just swapping out the sizes would that be allowed? Again, she sighs and says "if the same shoes are still back there and are under $12 you can swap them out. Go back and bring them up here and we can do that." I say okay, go to the back of the store, get the correct sized shoes, and bring them back to the desk. She then says "oh I need the same sized shoes for the scanner number, can you go back and get them?" Of course I go and do that again. When I returned this time, there were two new customers in the line. I waited for her to finish helping the customer she was with, then she literally yells at me from the desk "I can't return this one pair of shoes, they've been worn" and flops the shoes upside down on the counter to show me the bottoms. I say "I didn't wear them outside, I literally put them on at home and put them right back in the bag to return them, the bottoms of the shoes look exactly like these ones I just pulled off of the rack." Again she snaps at me and says they can't be returned. At this point I'm just fed up with this ladies nasty attitude and lack of customer service, so I said whatever, and went on to do some shopping. It wasn't until I was checking out that I realized I had left the pair of shoes she wouldn't return at the counter, so I went back up before I left to get them back. Wouldn't you know that she had put them in the returns box with the other pair I had grabbed from the rack to swap out, to be returned and put away! So the shoes are too worn for me to get my money back, but not worn enough that they can put it back on the shelf for someone else to buy?! I work in the service industry, so I hate to be a complainer, but this woman needs addressed. I came into the store in a good mood and did nothing to deserve the attitude and nasty responses from this woman, and the fact that she was in a golden vest (which I assume means you're some sort of supervisor) and was still so rude and refused to return my item but then was going to go put it back on the shelf really angered me. I know how it goes and how hard working in retail can be sometimes, but that doesn't give anyone the right to be downright rude and treat customers like they don't care about our business. I told the other supervisors (who were very nice)and they said they would talk to her, but I'd like corporate to understand that supervisor Bea needs an attitude adjustment if they want happy customers. The store is rundown . The employees are either severely handicapped or non functioning senior citizens . The employees sre always standing in groups of three or four talking about their bathroom habits , medications or other personal problems . No one is kind , no one is willing to help customers and the store is constantly under stocked . My family and i will never shop there again . read more
